This is the second time I have stayed in the HK, and I am still enchanted by it. The service, cleanliness, overall comfort, and breakfast are flawless. The location--very quiet but in the middle of everything--could not be better. I do not have a single critical comment about this hotel. The beds are comfortable, and the internet is strong. Not sure if it is secure, though. The newish restaurant directly across the street is a great place for a drink or a meal. Fun and inventive. And the place next door is great for an inexpensive Austrian meal.
Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. I had a single room, which was small (it was a single room...) but well laid-out and quite functional--great value for the cost. The hotel itself is in an excellent location in central Vienna within 5 minutes walk of two different train stations. Easy walking distance as well to St. Stephen's Cathedral area. The hotel itself is a neat and well-maintained antique building at the end of a small cul de sac. I didn't have a car, but I believe there was parking available next to the building. Breakfast buffet is nice but nothing special, although the patio is a very pleasant and quiet spot to eat.
Stayed for three night in the two bedroom suite. The master bedroom is so big with king bed. The second bedroom is small with two twins but is perfect for us. The room is nicely decorated with large bathroom, separate tub and shower. These is nice bottles of bath soap and shampoo but no conditioner. The breakfast is amazing with many great choices. The hotel is located close to everything and a few minutes walk to the church and town center. There is a beautiful terrace outside of our room for relaxation and evening drinks and snacks.
The front desk staff is wonderful, professional, friendly and speak English. Our room was on the 6th floor but the elevator only goes to the 5th floor. Our room had no coffee machine, no refrigerator, and no ice bucket. The hotel does not have a bar and ice is hard to come by. Comfortable but not ideal.
Brilliant customer service and very central! A great place to lie your head when on a city tour. Christian’s customer service was second to none, he was amazingly helpful, and couldn’t do enough to make our stay a good one. The room itself was clean and comfortable, a great base and close to lots of train stations.
LOVE this hotel. Staff were impeccable. The rooms were spotless. The outside deck was gorgeous. The breakfast buffet (I am sure no longer due to covid) wasspot on. The central location is amazing. The central location is worth EVERY penny. Beautiful old charm hotel in the heart of Vienna.
Perfect hotel for us. Friendly, helpful, quiet and peaceful. Great location to walk round the old city. Delicious & plentiful breakfast with a variety of very fresh bread. Nice decor, clean with nice soap in bathrooms, good wi-fi for our teenager. Staff were very helpful with advice & printing off tickets we needed.
This privately run hotel offers excellent value for money to those wishing to explore the centre of Vienna on foot. It is a 5 minute walk from where the Val2 airport bus drops you in Vienna. This service runs every half hour for €8 one way or €13 return. Tickets are valid for 28 days and can be bought outside the airport in ticket machines which are adjacent to the bus stops. The rooms are quite small but have very high ceilings which lighten them up. The rooms are spotless with modern bathroom equipped with either a bath with shower attached to the wall or just a shower. Water was always hot and toiletries were provided as were crisp white towels. We had a double bed which had 2 single duvets, which is an ever increasing style in Europe. Rooms were spotless and were serviced quietly whilst we had breakfast. Breakfast offered an excellent choice of fayre. Lovely breads, fruit, yoghurts, scrambled egg, bacon, sausages, cereals, cheese, tomatoes and cold meats. Large variety of tea and coffee (by caffettiera or machine). This service did get busy at times as the breakfast room is quite small and the staff were kept quite busy replenishing the ingredients as they ran out and clearing tables. You could get tea or coffee in reception between 1pm and 10pm via a quaint urn. The reception staff were very efficient in a rather stiff manner but were very helpful and polite. Upper floors were served by a vintage lift, in keeping with the building, which was quiet and a novelty. I would recommend this hotel due to its location being in a quiet cul de sac and a few minutes walk from the huge cathedral and other major attractions this wonderful place has to offer. There was no tea or coffee making facilities in our room which was the only downside. Room safe was a little clumsy in its mechanism which we couldn’t quiet master. Good value and good location.…
My wife and I travelled from Australia for a brief 3 night visit to Vienna. Location was perfect and within easy walking distance to all main attractions and public transport. Reception staff were welcoming and well versed in the sights and attractions. Hospitality staff who served us daily with an amazing breakfast were delightful. Rooms were spacious for European standards and very clean. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel for short or long term stays. It was a wonderful place to start our six week European holiday after a long flight.
hotel is in a great place to access all of the city, with a major metro station 2 min walk away. The whole of the hotel is spotlessly clean the staff at breakfast are very attentive. A special mention to Christian and Edward on reception absolute credit to the hotel. We had to leave early for our flight so missed breakfast and Christian made us a pack up to compensate a nice touch. The only issue is the lack of aircon in rooms, but a nice place to stay.
