Stayed here for 1 night, all staff I encountered on the front desk were really helpful. I got allocated one of the newer refurbished single rooms, it was clean and comfortable, shampoo and shower gel were provided (would like to have seen some body lotion provided too if I’m being picky).

I arrived hours before the check in time and amazingly my room was ready so was able to dump my suitcase and start sightseeing.

Breakfast was ok for small eaters like myself and I noticed you could ask for eggs separately if you wanted some cooked. Lots of tea and coffee choices too, fruit, meats, toast and a few pastries.

Checkout day, the front desk kindly stored my suitcase for 10 hours whilst I went sightseeing which I very much appreciated. Also noticed hot tea in reception which was a nice touch.

All in all, I would definitely return as offered god value and the location is fantastic with also a metro a few mins walk away. The hotel is down a quiet side street so nice and quiet and unaffected by the main road nearby. Lots of shops close for food and drink options.

Hotel Karntnerhof has a suberb location especially for tourists in Vienna. It is located on a lovely tiny side street and is quiet. The front desk was very helpful in every instance. The breakfast was good and typical of European breakfast. All rooms are not created equal. I believe (not verified) that many of the rooms have been updated, yes, I peeked in a few. Our room was pretty tired. All in all our stay at Hotel Karntnerhof was enjoyable.

What a gem. We really enjoyed our stay - we had a large double and found the bed very comfortable. A/C was working well which was great since it was warm during our stay. Bathroom was small but very nice,

Location is great, near St Stephen Cathedral and old town but tucked away on a side street so we did not have street noise. Breakfast was excellent - plenty of warm and cold choices.

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Karntnerhof. The hotel is in a great location, within easy walking distance to numerous restaurants and shops, two different metro stations, and several different sites, including St. Stephen's Cathedral. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good and included a variety of choices. The decor in the public/communal parts of the building was true to its historic character. I stayed in a comfortable single room with an ample-sized shower. The lift is slow (I didn't mind this as the hotel kept the historic lift).

Perfect hotel for us. Friendly, helpful, quiet and peaceful. Great location to walk round the old city. Delicious & plentiful breakfast with a variety of very fresh bread. Nice decor, clean with nice soap in bathrooms, good wi-fi for our teenager. Staff were very helpful with advice & printing off tickets we needed.

We stayed at the Hotel Kartnerhof for five nights, our first trip to Vienna, and we loved it.

Service was outstanding. Reception staff were helpful and polite in giving directions , arranging for an airport taxi etc, and always greeted us warmly. Breakfast room staff were also lovely, and deserve special mention.

Room was spacious, with a very comfortable bed, and a good size bathroom. The room was recently renovated and well decorated. Temperature control was excellent (we visited in winter, but noted there is also air-conditioning).

Breakfast was delicious, with a good selection. It was regular replenished, so no-one felt hungry.

Location is central, in a quiet lane way, close to many of the major tourist spots.

Will definitely return.

The room looked beautiful when I saw it online but it didn’t even do the room justice when I saw it in person! Alexander greeted us with a warm welcome when we came to check in. We arrived two hours early and it said our room was ready. He went above and beyond to call and just double check that it was ready for us. That was very much appreciated. The weather was snowy/rainy mix and they had umbrellas ready for us for when we left. We were greeted with glasses of water and chocolate on our pillows which was such a nice touch. The room was immaculate. The staff at breakfast was so attentive to the food and the tables. They came by all the time and continued to clear my table with whatever was empty and did it with a smile! I have nothing negative to say about this place. When I return to Vienna I know where I’ll be staying again!

A lovely hotel. Very friendly service and able to accommodate a relatively late change to our booking. The bedroom was the perfect size (small double) for our needs and the bathroom was ideal The hotel was clean and tidy throughout. The location was excellent. Just 5 minutes from Stephansdom which is perfect as a base for exploring the city as most of the sights were a short walk away and the underground was also close for getting further out as necessary.

Stayed for three night in the two bedroom suite. The master bedroom is so big with king bed. The second bedroom is small with two twins but is perfect for us. The room is nicely decorated with large bathroom, separate tub and shower. These is nice bottles of bath soap and shampoo but no conditioner. The breakfast is amazing with many great choices. The hotel is located close to everything and a few minutes walk to the church and town center. There is a beautiful terrace outside of our room for relaxation and evening drinks and snacks.

LOVE this hotel. Staff were impeccable. The rooms were spotless. The outside deck was gorgeous. The breakfast buffet (I am sure no longer due to covid) wasspot on. The central location is amazing. The central location is worth EVERY penny. Beautiful old charm hotel in the heart of Vienna.

Echo the previous response. Pfudl is fairly close along witha restaurant/bar immediately next door and many within an easy walk. Schedenplatz a short walk with good ice cream and wurstel stands. Right around the corner and on Rotenturmstrasse there are traditional small restaurants and pizza.

We didn't have a car,but why don't you email them from their website - they speak perfect English. As it's bang in the middle of the old town I'd be very surprised if they did have their own car park.

My room was on the 4th floor front side but was very quite as the hotel is places in a private narrow street. Ask for infos to the hotel staff, they are very kind. Have a nice stay in Vienna !
