I have just spent 5 nights in this tremendous place. I have chosen the hotel for 2 reasons :I do appreciate the design of the architect (Jean Nouvel) and the famous mybed@sofitel. After my stay I could tell that I am more than satisfied. I have had the opportunity to book a suite prestige. The monochrome "parti-pris" is a real...

On our Summer vacation we made the Prague - Budapest - Vienna route and ending at this hotel was definitely the cherry on the cake! The four of us enjoyed the wonderful Suite Prestige for three nights and we just did not want to leave the room. The views were so unique!! Watching Viena from anywhere in our room was...

If you like ultra modern, minimalist, black, grey and white with splashes of colour, as we do, this is the hotel for you! We stayed here for 5 nights and this trendy, upscale hotel, with rooms which are monochromatic and have concrete floors and sliding panel drapes, which give different views of Vienna, depending how you open them, made our...

We had a full day conference for 50 people here. The room was very good, with excellent sound and good lighting. The staff were very helpful and the catering excellent. As much as anything the services that came with it, the sound engineer and the photographer were well above expectations, anticipating a very demanding client and looking for perfection, not...

Very luxury and modern hotel. Clean, perfect service and food. Perfect view from the roof top of the restaurant. Was there for a couple of days, but strongly recommended. "Stephansdom" and city center are really close to the hotel.

The bar on 18th floor of this hotel has to be one of the best in all the city. The combination of incredible views of the river and historic city center through giant windows, lively beats thrown by the DJ, an upscale crowd, and a ceiling that has to be seen to be believed make this the place to be....

Yes, the hotel is outside of the city-center. But: There are only a few footsteps to this center. So Sofitel is a good place to stay. If you got a room with a view to the southwest, you can see the Stephansdome. But if you got other side - ok, may be, you can see the giant wheel at the...

I had a huge (very white) room with two king(?) size, a bath, shower etc. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom area is open to the room, but can be closed by clouded glass partitions. Breakfast buffet on the top floor (again spectacular views) was standard. Staff were very helpful.

Junior suite completely decorated in white .. one of the most interesting rooms I've stayed in! Great wifi and desk space for working. A really comfortable bed. The bar on 18th floor has the most amazing views of Vienna.

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city center and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theaters, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
