This is the second time wie stayed in this guesthouse. This has been a monastery since the 1100, and still is with a guesthouse added on to it. The rooms are spacious and very clean, no frills. It is very quiet, although in thre Center of...More
My Viennese friends hadn't heard about this place but were enthusiastic about it when I described it. Extremely quiet (until the church bells start at 6AM), in the middle of the old center of the city but not in the hubbub. The rooms are basic...More
An old monastery, this place offers simple yet clean and comfortable rooms. Not a lot of luxuries but enough to make ur vacation a memorable one. Located in the first district of Vienna, you will be steps away from the pedestrian area, their zentrum. A...More
Excellent location within a couple of minutes of the centre of Vienna.

The location for Benediktushaus was perfect, less than 10 minutes walk from the Hofburg etc. It is also nice and quiet despite being in the heart of the city, as you would expect from a monastery. The staff were very helpful, for example teaching me...More

In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The
Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.

Dear guest, I hope you will accept my answer, too. All rooms on the 3rd and 4th floor, which are exposed to the sun, are equipped with a fan. The rooms on the 1st and second floor get more shadow from the trees. There are large windows in the rooms providing good air circulation. At the moment, it ist rather cool weather outside. Until now, wenn have always found a solution to make the stay of our guests as pleasant as possible also during hot summer weather.
Kind regards, Michaela
