Great location in the centre of Vienna, part of a monastery. Rooms are basic but functional and very clean, also very quiet (overlooking a courtyard)...until 7am matins bells start ringing! Breakfast is more than adequate and they cater for special diets. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is a Christmas Market literally on the doorstep and several more within 10...

This was an excellent choice. Excellent location, excellent breakfast (with soy milk as well as cow's milk), clean and comfortable room, very helpful staff who speak fluent English as well as German and can guide travellers regarding transport, meals, shops and attractions.

This is a small Hotel inside a monastery. It is a very clean, calm and well located hotel. There is no TV in the room, but that wasn't a problem for us since the internet worked well. Vienna is an expensive city and the hotel was a great option for the price we payed. The breakfast buffet is great, lots...

Part of a monastery, Benediktushaus is a small, very clean and well sited hotel. It should be noted that amenities are limited. There is no TV, phone or A/C but this is offset by a very reasonable rate. The hotel offers a very nice breakfast buffet and is close to tram and subway lines. And being a monastery, the church...

I found the guest-house very quiet and tranquil. You can even hear the sounds of the bells ringing from the adjacent church clearly. Yet, once I stepped outside the building, I could find all the city attractions very easily. The room was clean & breakfast was also good. There is a big convenient store just across the street where you...

My host put me in this monastery hotel for 3 nights. A simple but clean room, and very, very quiet (no TV in all rooms, no internet possible in my room). The breakfast was really good, too. Located in the heart of Vienna, this hotel was ideal for your special guests in Vienna.

This is the second time wie stayed in this guesthouse. This has been a monastery since the 1100, and still is with a guesthouse added on to it. The rooms are spacious and very clean, no frills. It is very quiet, although in thre Center of Vienna, with many rooms opening to a quiet yard with big trees. The whole atmosphere...

My Viennese friends hadn't heard about this place but were enthusiastic about it when I described it. Extremely quiet (until the church bells start at 6AM), in the middle of the old center of the city but not in the hubbub. The rooms are basic and not terribly modern feeling but I felt that was part of its charm, and...

An old monastery, this place offers simple yet clean and comfortable rooms. Not a lot of luxuries but enough to make ur vacation a memorable one. Located in the first district of Vienna, you will be steps away from the pedestrian area, their zentrum. A ten minute walk from from the cathedral, the palace and other attractions. The price was...

Excellent location within a couple of minutes of the centre of Vienna. The air conditioning is a small desk fan - we ended up having one of the windows open all night. Room for improvement on that front Breakfast was a standard continental breakfast - standard but quite pleasant. Best thing about this place is the location- very convenient- everything...

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
