We arrived at the hotel early and exhausted from our trip. We were immediately welcomed by Jakob who allowed us to check-in early. He was accomodating, friendly and very knowledgeable. Jakob is a great asset to the hotel! Our room was spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. The hotel is centrally located and has a sauna and gym. We'll definitely be...

This hotel is in a good location only about 3minutes walk to the nearest underground station which can take you to most of the main tourist areas within about 5 minutes. The rooms are clean and warm. The worst part was the slow wifi - which was hard when you were trying to look up things to do or places...

We stayed just one night here, it was very pleasant. Very nice reception staff, happy to look after our bags before and after we were checked in / out. Nice spacious room, comfortable bed, clean, tidy. My husband and I stayed, and we had friends staying further out of the city so we all came back to our room to...

Hotel has a good location in a quiet neighborhood, with 10-15 minutes walk to the city centre. Room was very clean and well furnished, although a bit small. Hotel garage is situated just across the street, but it is a bit expensive, as is the breakfast. Overal the Imlauer hotel was very good.

Nice clean hotel with nice breakfast. Close to city center. Really not to much to say more, service level are normal. Not to big rooms, nice size on the bathrooms. The tram are going close to the hotel as well. Easy access to Taxi. Several restaurants nearby. Perfect for business and couple.

We selected this hotel because of its price and advertised amenities; we did not require its having a restaurant but did want a bar – so this met our needs coming in and exceeded our expectations after spending 4 nights. Our room was very comfortable as were the beds. The staff was excellent in making recommendations for three restaurants that...

I have to admit, there are some mixed reviews on Trip Advisor on this hotel, so before we arrived I was sceptical about what we would experience. When travelling for a long weekend city break, I’m not usually looking to blow all the spending money on a 5 star hotel to sleep in it for 2 nights and leave it...

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city center and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theaters, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
