This hotel is very close to Schonbrunn palace, thus you can walk to see this palace. There is enough parking space in the garden. this hotel is inside the old garden. All staffs are very helpful. The room is very clean with new furniture. Breakfast is very good. I recommended to everybody.

We chose this hotel because it is close to Schonbrunn and we didn't have to take bus, subway with a child this way. It has a big park with squirrels and the room key also opens the park's gate which leads to a road to Schonbrunn. The hotel's building is new, very clean, good heating, nice clean room with big... Very large park surround around the hotel building, which add good atmosphere for the hotel. It's situated bit far from the city center but with couple minutes walk you can easily reach Shönbrunn castle. If you want to eat traditional Austrian meals there are two restaurants in the Shonbrunner strasse, 10 minutes walking distance from the hotel. We got a... More

We were a bit disappointed that we didn't stay in the real Schlossl but in the ugly house next to it. But the rooms were quite comfortable and the breakfasts really delicious. The nearest underground station is not so far away and the lovely Schoenbrunn palace gardens are 15 mins walk from the hotel.

At least some of the double beds need replacing. Our mattress was very soft and sagged in the middle. We would have loved to stay here because it is located in the middle of a park, with beautiful flowering trees, and bushes in the spring, but at least some of the beds are not for senior bodies, and the rooms... The Springer Schloessl seminar hotel is a hotel obviously constructed in the 1970's with respectively small rooms and rather no-frills. Food is served in buffet style only, after dinner time restaurant closes at all. There is a snack vending machine in the lobby. That is it. You can choose the hotel if you have a seminar in the amazing area... More

Staying in Ottakring

Neighborhood Profile
Ottakring
The production site of popular Ottakringer beer brews up an exciting mix of working and middle class suburbs, Balkanese immigrant lifestyles, and lush patches of hilly woodland. The recently gentrified area around Yppenplatz and Brunnenmarkt boasts hip cafés and bars next to South East European delicacies at Brunnenmarkt street market. The dynamics of Ottakring become most apparent at its vibrant high street Ottakringer Strasse. At the top end you can feast on wine and local food in Austria’s oldest wine tavern 10er Marie. The wines are from the tavern’s own urban vineyards. Before you head upwards, make sure you pay a visit to the historic courtyards between Lerchenfelder Gürtel and Hippgasse. When locals visit Ottakring’s hilly green outskirts on the weekends they either climb up 31 meters of Jubiläumswarte viewing tower on Gallitzinberg, have a succulent Wiener Schnitzel at Villa Aurora, or reward their hiking exertions around Wilhelminenberg with a drink and a view from Wilhelminenberg Palace (now a hotel and restaurant).
