Great hotel for its price. Guests have variety of food on breakfast including soya products and almonds. It is important to notice that hotel is in the centre of Vienna. There are a lot of museums, shops, parks, churches in the walking distance.

The hotel staff are rude, not to helpful and almost huff when you have to ask a question. The breakfast was nice and the rooms were warm. We booked a double room with ensuite. It was two single beds pushed together - which equally push apart just as easily........ not great when you actually want to share a bed with...

I really enjoy in this hotel. It is close to the popular Mariahilferstrasse and amazing Nachtmarkt. And only few minutes by walk to the city center. Also very good and tasty breakfast, room and wi-fi ok ... so no problem at all :)

I booked Kolpinghaus Wien-Zentral on line and stayed for a night. Reaching hotel from Vienna International Airport was very easy. From Airport I boarded Schnellbahn S7 (single ticket € 3,90) · got off at station "Landstraße Wien-Mitte" (city air terminal) · took the underground U4 (green line) direction Hütteldorf · got off at station "Kettenbrückengasse" · came out of the...

This was a great value hotel for Vienna! The location is very good, with 10-15 minute walk to the main attractions. There is also a metro station within a 3 minute walk. The room was clean and provided the basics (e.g. towels, soap, hairdryer, safe). The breakfast was very, very good with plenty of choice of breads, cakes, salamis, cheese,...

It is a simple but comfortable hotel, very well situated and excellent value with a good breakfast. It's near the metro and bus routes. Bed is comfortable and staff helpful. It's obviously a converted municipal building and has character.

I recently stayed there for a few nights, the location of this hotel is almost ideal, in walking distance to the Naschmarkt and the muséums. The rooms had everything a traveller needs for a longer stay, with plenty of "storage" space, a confortable bed, the breakfast offered a very good choice on dishes and the staff was also very friendly...

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighborhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the center. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theater decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
