Firstly the location of the hotel was incredible. One would have a 5 minute walk and reach the Kunsthistoriches and Naturhistoriches museums, and the Rothaus.. Etc, and a ten minute walk will get one to the city center, where all the main shops are as well as the st. stephen's cathedral. On the opposite direction to those, a two minute... More

This is a lovely, modern, centrally located and not an overly priced hotel in which to stay. We arrived at night, so caught a taxi from the station. We had a lovely, clean room with en-suite bathroom. A very generous and lovely breakfast is included in the room rate and all the staff were lovely and friendly. With regards to... More

Standard hotel, located in the city centre. Rooms are quite small but equiped with all you need. This hotel is really good for one night stand. Breakfast was very good (eggs, sausages, hot beverages, furit nad vegetables, muesli etc.) Ask reception for wifi codes.

The rooms were clean, showers were ok. Good breakfast. The Kolpinghaus has got a very good location. You can reach Vienna's historic center on foot and there are a lot of bars and smaller clubs just next to it. It is absolutely not luxurious, but it is perfect for larger groups with smaller financial possibilities.

"Strategic" location for exploring City of Vienna. Directly (5 minutes walk) on U-Bahn U4 (10 minutes to Schönbrunn Castle), 5 minutes walk through the Stiegengasse and nice Raimundhof to the Mariahilfer Strasse. 15 walk minutes to the city centre. Walk through the Naschmarkt strongly recommended. 20 minutes with U4 to the cheap P+R Parking in Hütteldorf (parking garage € 3,40... More

This hotel is well located, near the commercial street of Maryhilfstrasse, five minutes away from a metro station and ten minutes walk from the Museum Quartier or the Opera House. Also, for Vienna standards, the price is quite reasonable. I've read some reviews here complaining about the cleanliness of the rooms; for me, this was not a problem: my room... More

When you exit the Kettenbrueckengasse metro station in front of the Naschmarkt, turn left and cross the street to go up a side street to Gumpendorferstrasse where you easily find the hotel. It is a very colourful building located on a corner. The check in was easy and we were in our well designed and spotlessly clean room within minutes.... More

The room was clean and the bed was quite good. It's a good place from which to explore the city. The nearest subway station is a 5 minutes walk. The wifi reception on the fifth floor was quite poor though.

The hotel is close to the metro station and the open market of Nachmark (Sundays only) and 2mins away from the shopping area of Mariahilfer Strasse. The reception was 24 hours open and the staff where very helpful. The breakfast was very poor, only the basic. The rooms where clean (except the chair pillows). We had a problem with the... More

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighborhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the center. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theater decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
