Hotel Calmo is located in the 9th district of Vienna, between Nussdorf and Grinzing. The location could not be better to get to know from here both Vienna's traditional part with its cozy wine bars and cafes, but also the vibrant, modern life of Austria's capital. In Hotel Calmo 54 beautifully and comfortably furnished rooms will make your stay in Vienna a feel-good experience. Each room has a modern flat-screen TV to relax after a long day at work as well as a modern, timelessly simple bathroom with tub or shower. Free Wi-Fi is available in every room as well as in the entire hotel area. You can choose between cozy single, double or triple rooms, which are especially suitable for families. The breakfast buffet at Hotel Calmo is wonderful: in addition to hot and cold dishes in abundance, fruit, juices and a wide range of mueslis and fresh baked goods, no wishes are left unfulfilled! Of course, lactose- and gluten-free meals and drinks are also available. The coffee specialties come from the traditional Munich company Dallmayr and are available to guests free of charge at all times, even outside breakfast hours. Hotel Calmo's location is ideal for getting to know Vienna's many cultural and historical highlights. The U4 and U6 subway lines, as well as the Spittelau express train station, are just a five-minute walk from the hotel. Only 100 meters further is the Augasse streetcar stop. From there, Vienna's city center can also be reached via the Ringstrasse, passing many of the city's sights.

This hotel is basic but clean, its very person centred the receptionists whoever is on are very helpful. Great breakfast. It’s not the easiest to get to from Vienna Airport but don’t let that put you off around €65 by taxi or the hotel can arrange it for €45 there’s a tram stop outside 15 minutes to the centre they run like clockwork every 5-10 minutes, 24 hour ticket €7 for all travel ( shh but no ticket inspectors so up to you!! 😂) Tatax Vietnamese restaurant a few doors away is amazing lovely bar chilled melodic vibes great food and unbelievably cheap. There’s not a lot else in the area but with trams non stop you can anywhere!

The Hotel is a bit shabby but that's not what bothered me. You can put up with a lot of things if the staff are friendly. We had been driving all day from Berlin and were met with a condescending employee named Dorothee who treated us like children. She berated me for not coming in properly with my car (I had reserved parking) and when we thought we had booked breakfast--she made us feel like criminals and liars. I have never been treated so poorly and I've traveled all over the world. Save your dignity and book somewhere else!

We visited Calmo hotel the past few days.it is very well situated only a 5 minutes walk from Spittelau metro U4 metro stop.from there the city of Vienna lies in front of your feet.the room is good for 3 people and it was always cleaned and warm.the breakfast is adequate for a day of walking in Vienna.not a great variety but enough to get you going.the staff was always helpful and kind.My only disappointment was the absence of a fridge in the room. Thanks to the weather we stored our refreshments outside of the window. But the pros are far more from the cons so if we would go back in Vienna we would visit the hotel again.

The hotel is good. Great location with several transport options to anywhere in the city. the room is nice, clean and all the attendants are very polite. breakfast is not very good and has little variety. Overall, good value for money, and I would recommend the hotel.

Super nice staff, high level of cleaning. Cozy room and above all that a great yami breakfast ... The room is equipped with a nice couch. I Located five minutes walking from the nearest underground station Spittelau which allows you to get easly to the center.

The overall experience was below mediocre, from the hundreds of hotels I stayed allover the world. The receptionist was rude, totally rigid and didn’t come up with solutions . The room I stayed had a very noisy bathroom ventilator, disturbing the silence. In the morning the very thin doors let almost everything on the hallway seem like were happening the room. Real feel was like everything was stuck in time for some time. Of course is my subjective opinion, or I may be have high standards, but here you’ll find a lower level of hospitality. Value for money for sure you’ll find a better choice.

Good: Hotel very well located in terms of transportation and with a supermarket nearby. Very good breakfast and variety to choose from. Quite tasty. Paulina, at the reception, very kind and helpful. Bad: Poor lighting. No overhead lights to illuminate the entire room, just small lamps next to each bed. A single elevator, for staff and residents. Little care about COVID.

I do recommend this hotel as the staff are all lovely. The hotel itself is beginning to look a bit tired. The room we were in definitely would benefit from a coat of paint.Having said that it was clean and the breakfast was good. Could do with more staff in the restaurant to clear tables a bit quicker. Tram stop on the D ring very near by and goes just about everywhere you would want to go.

The photos I saw of this hotel before booking were most definitely taken by a skilled photographer. Cannot complain about the room - clean and comfortable bed - although uncomfortably hot and can’t turn heating down, and if you open the window you’ll be kept awake by trams all night. And no tea / coffee / kettle facilities Reception ok I guess, but corridors leading too rooms really dirty...far from feeling like a European ‘Arthotel’ but rather like a worn out B&B Breakfast ok, but the much lauded free coffee machine is a bit of a joke as is over used so doesn’t always work Location is not ideal, next to what looks like a derelict shopping mall but is actually the back of the university...but no bars or restaurants of note nearby, taxis required And whilst not the hotel’s fault the other guests were really rude...as were a couple of members of staff Was ok, but won’t go back

The hotel is a little far, but the tram line D is a wonderful way to go to the city center. Employees are not very nice, and there is no Air conditioner. Children are not very welcomed, always looking to us with bad face as we had a little happy child in our group. Breakfast is good.
