Seriously wicked old hostel, with super neat history. Used to be a leprosy colony. Loved the building and the vibe. The staff were friendly and kind. great big lounge and dinning room with a beautiful covered outdoor patio set. The walls are thin like any old building but we didn't mind especially for one night. Everyone there was super friendly,...

Very friendly fellow running the hostel. We had a private room with just 2 bunk beds on the top floor. It was quite tiny to say the least but it's just for sleeping. Sloping roof and a sink in the room. Clean linens provided. Bring your own towel. It was a cool night when we stayed and we left the...

The building is absolutely stunning. I have never stayed in a hostel that was housed in such a beautiful historic building. With the building comes the lovely atmosphere. The owner / manager of the hostel is a very nice guy who is willing to help you with everything. On arrival you are given a map of the city, directions, and...

From the outside you can tell this hostel is going to be special. At the front door, there is an old stone stairwell leading down to a gated dungeon-type space so that sets the tone! Inside is just as great! Greeted by a friendly man, we went to our room which was small but we loved it! With two sets...

I used to stay in hostels that belongs to Hostelling International Group. This time it was again the right choice. Our room was small, but cosy and clean. Bathrooms ok. The breakfast was also all right. We just got what we expected from this place :)

We stopped here for one night whilst on at European road trip with my friends. The hostel itself was fine, no complaints at all really, ask about its history too! I won't spoil it! It's a short bus ride into the centre of feldkirch where there are plenty of bars and restaurants, the staff are very helpful and provided us...

I was sceptic when I reserved it, but all other hotels in the circle of 50 km were above our financial possibilites. The bed sheets were perfectly clean, the shared bathroom also. Great garden for breakfast and coffee. Free parking and free wi-fi. There are lot of games for kids in the dining room, so it was really fun! Thanks...

Stayed here one night when I was visiting Liechtenstein which is about 15 min walk and 40 minutes with the bus away. Situated about 10 minutes walk away from the the main train station, it is the only hostel in Feldkirch. The rooms are clean and the old, partly wooden, house has an alpine feeling. The staff were polite and...

The hotel is located about 2 km far from the centre of Feldkirch, you can easy reach the centre by car (or also the Liechtenstein, few kilometers far). An important thing is the free car parking available. The hostel is quiet big, we staid in a little room with 2 beds and they were enough confortable with a washbowl in...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Where else could you be ten minutes from the principality of Liechtenstein, twenty minutes from Heidi land, forty minutes from Lake Constance, and thirty to fifty minutes from some of Europe's best ski resorts (St. Anton am Arlberg, Lech, Montafon, Brand, Laterns, Malbun...), where Ernest Hemingway used to hike and ski? Even James Bond came to town (well, parts of the new film were being filmed here)!Where else but Feldkirch? Itself a beautiful town steeped in history, complete with its castle saved by a dog, traditional street-market selling traditional foods such as sausages (for the dog), and a hostel in a recently renovated medieval building (in documents from 1362 the building was described 'as having been in existence for a long time').Located within walking distance from the railway station and local hills, and just a short bus ride or pleasant walk to the town centre, our 700-year-old hostel is steeped in its own history and we'll go out of our way to make you feel at home.Services and facilities:Lounge room Internet accessFully equipped kitchen for self cateringGame roomCable TV (international channels)LaundryTourist informationKey card for freeSki roomBBQ facilitiesFree parking for cars, busses and bikes ... more   less

“It's a great place to stay if you want to visit Liechtenstein but there isn't a lot there. Feldkirch is nicer and less touristy so don't plan on spending long in Liechtenstein!”

“Make a reservation before arriving. All of the rooms are pretty much the same. The only question is if you want to be on the second or first floor.”
