Stayed here on our Tui holiday September 2019. Instantly felt at home. We found it really comfortable, great facilities, fantastic food. But most of all, it was the staff who really made our holiday an extremely happy one. The reception staff were helpful and efficient. The cleaners were friendly and polite, and we never felt hassled to get out of our room. We like a lie in on holiday! The bar and restaurant staff were absolutely brilliant. The service was impeccable. The atmosphere in the restaurant and bar was lovely. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They were charming and had a sense of humour. There is a small gym, two inside pools and an outdoor pool. Didn't brave that one! But the one with massage jets helped to ease aching muscles after days in the mountains. The only thing that could improve the hotel is a mini bar in the room. But then again, the bar area downstairs was just perfect for an afternoon beer or an after dinner drink. Kitzbuhel itself is lovely for walking and cycling. The shops are high end, but you can find more reasonable ones in nearby St Johann, a short bus ride away. I was so sad to leave this place, and hope to return. A big thank you to all the staff at Hotel Erika.

This rather once grand hotel may be showing it's age (established 1897) but it still retains it's charm and peaceful comfort. Guests are treated with the greatest respect with any queries they may have and the manners of all staff are exemplary. Food choice is exceptional from a very imaginative chef and kitchen staff providing both traditional Austrian fare as well as creative cosmopolitan choices. The restaurant is very comfortable and a relaxing place to dine. Service from waiting staff is prompt and and always attentive when guests are finishing courses. However, I do feel that the need for a dress code should be implemented as they are in most four/five star hotels. Especially for male diners who seem to feel that a grubby pair of well worn shorts, wrinkled tee shirts from the day and stained trainers are acceptable. This was the case during my stay by the odd guest or two. One Scots couple of whom were seated at a nearby table and did not get the message from other diners who dressed for the occasion. Thankfully these were in the minority but stood out in the crowd by those that made the little effort it took to dress smartly and (men to wear trousers) instead of the little schoolboy look. This type would be turned away at any restaurant. dressed like this. The outside area was a very comfortable place to take time to relax especially when enjoying the Austrian tradition of "cafe und kuchen" on an afternoon. Loungers are provided in a secluded grassed area and the lounge has ample space for guests to spread around on an evening. Having been to Kitzbuhel many times at other hotels I would have to say I would return to the "Garten hotel Erika" again given the opportunity. An extremely pleasant stay no regrets.

The hotel is situated near to the Railway station/bus terminal and the Kitzbuhler Horn cable car.If you had a room near the road it would be noisy. Overall the hotel is fabulous.Rooms and bathrooms are immaculate and housekeeping keep them to a very high standard. The food of a fantastic standard. Breakfast - what a selection. Dinner - a wonderful menu to accommodate everyone. The afternoon coffee and cake - sublime! Even made the effort for us, on a very early start when we had to leave, to provide coffee and breakfast. Wonderful spa and pool area and the outdoor pool a fabulous extra, if you can brave the temperature. The staff are just wonderful. I think overall this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in, in the world.
