This was the most pleasant and hospitable vacation that we have ever taken. Not only was the town charming, but the hotel staff were the most service minded and polite we have EVER encountered. We were luck, I think, to have been during the off-season. The town was quiet and incredibly beautiful. The view from our room ( a junior...

I reviewed them as excellent because of the way the receptionist was kind and answered all my questions. I really appreciate kindness and good-heartedness when staff deal with customers. And the manager was understanding. It's the personalities that make the hotel.

This hotel is in a village (Igls) out of Innsbruck, 25 mins from Innsbruck by bus. Too far for taking a walk to Innsbruck city. Otherwise, our experience was awful in this Hotel. The view from room was to a sort of inner, neglected and vegetated courtyard, with the window at the ground level (see the picture, please). Due to...

Eagles Inn is a charming hotel in Igls, close to many restaurants and the lift. I booked our room through hotels.com and I secured a very good rate that included breakfast. The front desk staff was very, very nice and helpful. They spoke very good English and offered us some wonderful advice around hiking. Breakfast was very good, but did...

After a trip down the Danube and a stay in Budapest my wife and I began an unplanned trip through Austria. We had been married in Igls Austria23 years ago. We had a nagging yearning to return to that destination except that a very pessimistic Austrian man was very jaundice in his assessment of the changes the years had imposed...

This hotel seems to very nice, but we did not go at the right time. The restaurant was closed the first night and then closed when a group arrived the next night. We also lost our parking spot the second night. The owner tried everything to make it right for us, the large group visiting made it impossible. On the...

We only stayed here one night, I wish it could have been 6, the staff were friendly with good English, the views from our balcony were breath taking, the little town was fantastic. The room was spacious and clean, I'd go back in a heatbeat!

Traditional Tirol hotel in the beautiful Alpine Ski village of Igls just 4 km from Innsbruck. There is a regular bus service into the city. The walking paths, countryside and forest around the hotel was great. Nearby are a supermarket and restaurants. Public areas were pleasing, cosy and well kept. I made a reservation in March 2014 through Booking.com for two rooms at Hotel Batzenhausl arriving July 23, 2014 and I received an email from the hotel confirming our reservation. To my unpleasant surprise I got an email on July 7th from Booking.com saying that Hotel Batzenhausl had cancelled my reservations for "financial reasons". I emailed the hotel twice asking...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In December 2015 Family Ultsch reopened the Hotel Eagles Inn. With passion and creativity we try to bring back the special charm of this beautiful historic house! Step by step we are making the hotel a place of well being for you! After a little break in early spring we start again in April 23 with freshness and vitality (with many specials and offers for the summer season! The Eagles Inn and the village of Igls is a beautiful place to spend your holiday: the beauty of nature, charming locals and the city of Innsbruck are waiting for you! The sun plateau on which the village of Igls is located is surrounded by magnificent and tranquil mountains, only 5 km far from the town center of Innsbruck. The Eagles Inn allows you to enjoy unequalled views of the mountain chain Nordkette which makes the area of Innsbruck so special. The Hotel Eagles Inn lies at the foot of the mountain Patscherkofel which is known for its skiing and hiking area. The tasteful design, a friendly and bright restaurant (opening spring 16) and the charming ambience of the artfully designed, wood-paneled "Stuben" (Tipical tyrolean living/dining room) make up the special charm of this Hotel. With the public transportation you can reach the city center as well as the Nordkette within a few minutes. Enjoy the nature without missing the proximity of the city! ... more   less
