This is a very quaint and historical hotel. Mozart stayed here as a boy with his father. Wonderful staff and the best breakfast!!! Right in the most beautiful Altstadt. We have stayed here many times and would stay many more!

I/we have been here many times, but the ownership has changed, as have prices. I tried to book a single room for this visit, was somehow fobbed off, and ended up in a double room, which I of course paid for. Staff were as good as ever, but maybe professional is a better word. The

A grand and ancient building in the very centres of the old town. The rooms are modern in style but there are many old features in the common parts to enjoy. The rooms are reasonably comfortable, we had the basic standard, but could do with a few enhancements such as mattress top

To travellers from a country in which no building is older than 1790, to stay in a place built around 1465 is very special. The location is sensational, right in the old town, within walking distance of many attractions as well as everything you need, including the excellent hop-

Dear Malcolm, Thank you so much for this review! We are very pleased, that you have spent your holiday in our old town hotel and that you have felt comfortable. In fact, our historical building is very, very old - it is from 1465 and has got a long and an exciting history. Not many people can claim to have slept in the same building like Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart!! You are also right with your statement about our position in the heart of Innsbruck. It makes the holiday really stress-free: everything in walking distance like sights, shopping, restaurants.... Our special service to the guests is coffee specialties and tea, at any time. We are lucky, you enjoyed it. We are very pleased, that you liked our extensive breakfast as well as our attentive employees. We look forward to your next visit in our hotel! Kind regards to Australia Angelina - Old town hotel Weisses Kreuz

The Location: In the old town, a short walk to Goldenes Dachl. Note that parking is situated in a parking garage a few hundred metres away.

The Room: Smallish-sized high-level room overlooking the Hofkirche. Only just enough space for international travelers to unpack. Minimal

Hello mi6lo, Thank you so much for taking the time to describe your impressions. Yes indeed, our position in the centre could not be better. Most of Innsbruck's sights are within easy walking distance, like the Golden Roof or the imperial palace... We feel, that you enjoyed your stay and we are very happy for this. You picture the atmosphere in our old town hotel - and you are absolutely right: it is from 1465 and has a long and exciting history. Not many people can claim to have slept in the same building like Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart!! We are very proud, you mention our engaged and attentive stuff. We all love to take care of our guests' well-being :-) We are grateful you were our guest, and hope to welcome you again. Angelina, Old town hotel Weisses Kreuz

Is it comfortable without AC? What will the high and low be in late August? Do all rooms have a toilet and a shower?
We were in Innsbruck in February so it's difficult to answer. We stayed in their largest room and the room was very comfortable plus there were approximately 4-5 windows that opened to the street. I would think given the narrowness of the street, you would get a breeze into the room. The trade off may be increased street noise at night. Having said that, the hotel is a wonderful place to stay

Hi, We have 2 rooms booked in the beginning of May....wanted to know if you have kettle in the rooms....
Hello we do not have a kettle in the rooms due to fire security - allthough at the reception you will find complimentary tea and coffee - and there is a kettle. Looking forward to seeing you.

Is it air conditioned?
We just got back from a stay here and I don't think they had air condition. The room we stayed in had plenty of windows you can open to get some fresh cool air in if needed.
