lovely 4 star hotel with very friendly staff and food. the hotel is not totally modern ie no air conditioning but the better for it as the building has character and feels very homely.

I have not stayed here yet (going mid Sept) but having been to several other villages in July/August, I would say it can get very hot with heavy thunderstorms. I would say avoid central Europe in the summer if you can. We now visit the likes of Prague/Budapest in spring when it is cooler now that we are no longer tied to our jobs! Have a look at past weather averages on a web site to get an idea.
