We had a car, so the locatoim was no problem. (Ask Frau Ballwein about downtown parking, she can explain how to save money on parking.There are plenty of underground parking lots at a reasonable price in Salzburg.) Or you can take the bus right in front of the house to go to the city center. Salzburg is small and crowded,...

This is a family run inn outside of town. Nice place to enjoy a quiet view of the mountains. There is a farm next door so you will hear the cows come in for milking. We had a car and it is a quick drive into town where they have a very nice parking garage set up. The room was...

The stay at Haus Ballwein was a real joy. The family is a wonderful host, very accomodative. The rooms are big, nicely decorated and clean. The bus station in front of the building takes you into the city in 10 min but you have the feeling you are staying in the countryside.

While in Bavaria, I specifically requested to stay in places that vibe Bavaria. this place lived up to expectations. First off, it's in an old farm house that the owners have converted. This charming bed-and-breakfast was a combination of convenience to downtown by a bus and beautiful rural setting. The rooms were charming and quiet. The hosts were friendly. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. The whole place felt like a step into to Austrian culture.

Spent 2 nights here. The room was so nice. Decorated in plaid duvets. The entire place was spotless. We had a nice breakfast. The owners were wonderful. Only a 10 minute drive into Salzburg. The B & B had good wifi & easy parking. You can also take the bus into Salzburg if you like. It is very peaceful here...

My daughter and I stayed three nights at this bed and breakfast. The room was light and airy with views of the mountains and cows, free wi-fi is availabe. I cannot emphasise enough how much we enjoyed our two nights at this pension. Located in a mostly residential area on the main road into Salzburg (the road is quiet at night) right on the boundary of the property is the frequent bus service into Saltzburg which take around ten minutes.
