This was the second time we've stayed with Erika and Georg, and it was even better than the first ! They are such charming hosts and are always eager to help with any destinations you are interested in. Upon arrival they treated us to their favorite Austrian wine before we headed out for dinner. We stayed in the Music Room...

If so, book a room at this hotel which has been family-run for generations. It is to be commended that the couple, despite being at or above the age of retirement, are still willing to run the place. We were lucky enough to get rooms at quite short-term notice, with the owner cheerfully taking our phone reservation while she was...

We stayed 2 nights in this wonderful place. Erika and Georg were very accommodating and helped us to find the best way to see the sites of Salzburg. We had booked large rooms but were delighted to find out that we were upgraded to the suites when we arrived. We felt like we had stepped back into the past-lovely antique...

We are a family of four and we stayed at Schloss Haunsperg in mid-July, the first stop on our European tour. We we loved it! The rooms were quaint and comfortable. The antique furniture gave our suite a very rustic feel. George and Erika we're fantastic hosts, they gave us great sightseeing tips each day. Breakfast was delicious, making a...

We recently stayed here with our two children, ages 14 & 16. At first we wondered if we had made the right choice since it is located 10-15 minutes outside of Salzburg center. We ended up loving the location. The innkeepers are so warm and helpful and we loved having breakfast each morning served on China and silver. They go...

On the paper, everything looked great and my contact on phone with the lady owner was nice and friendly. However, we were deeply disappointed when finding out that nice little castle with a beautiful garden was just 30m away from the highway, and therefore awfully noisy. In a sense, we blessed the bad weather for obliging us to keep the...

We just finished a two week trip around Europe with a family of 5. We all agree that our favorite place we stayed was Schloss Haunsperg. It is a beautiful place with extremely friendly and helpful hosts. The setting is idyllic and peaceful. It was a welcome change from the bustle of Paris where we were before the castle. It...

I stayed here with my husband and 7 year old daughter for 5 nights and we absolutely loved it. My daughter was absolutely enchanted to be staying in a real castle. We had a huge suite with an extra small bedroom (we called it the princess room) and private bath. The breakfast was very extensive, with lots of fresh fruit,...

It's not fair to call this a B&B, but that's sort of what it is. A lovely home with room and breakfast. We stayed for two nights, ten years after our daughter's family stayed here. Wow, what a place. We had a first floor suite, up one flight of stairs. A huge sitting room with table, desk, chairs, wifi, and...

We stayed here for a night with our parents and three children. We spent the day touring Salzburg which was a very easy 15 minute drive. The owners of the castle are absolutely lovely, friendly people. The breakfast was excellent. The castle is full of character, history and charm. We cannot wait to visit next year.
