Location couldn't have been better for a stay in Salzburg and the hostess will rest you with love and pamper you like your grandmothers would do. Rooms were small (which is expected from a 600 years old building), but tastefully done. You can see that they have put in a lot of thought and effort into every single thing. Finally, food was TOP quality

Room Tip: Views are not so great as the hotel is situated in a narrow lane, but you just need to step out...

My mum and I stayed at the Goldgasse for her birthday trip to Salzburg and we couldn't have made a better choice. Firstly, I want to thank Ulrike for her help in the run-up to our stay, for arranging airport transfers, for our complimentary bottle of Prosecco on my mum's birthday and for our fabulous room upgrade. Ulrike was an absolute gem, as were the rest of the staff who were so lovely, accommodating and friendly. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring Old Town Salzburg and is central to all the landmarks you would want to visit. The room was so clean, comfortable and well-equipped. The shower was amazing and I've never slept in a more comfortable bed in my life. Overall, this was the perfect choice and I would highly recommend anyone visiting Salzburg to stay at Hotel Goldgasse. Thank you for having us!

let's start with the service: this small hotel felt like im into a fairytale. the service from the manager and Yohan (sorry for the wrong spelling probably) was amazing ! I felt like im in my home, they took care of everying and do all the efforts to make me feel satisfied and happy (it was a solo trip). Location: Best location you can find in Salzburg. In the old town, beautiful, easy to find and walk to all the attractions.. Breakfast: service was again extraordinary ! and the breakfast itslef was so delicios , wide selections, with all best! (i think best breakfast i've ever had in Austria!) Room: I was in the Junior Suite and the Suite (I tried both) - i was speechless. the well designed and the spacious of the room . it was perfect ! i love the bathroom in the suite and the waterfall shower in the junior suite. the bed was so comfortable! the free one session of the minibar - was really nice offering! the suite has a beautiful terrace with amazing view (highly recommended ). it has spacious living room and both shower and bath. Everything was tidy and clean! It was a very pleasure to combine and tried both rooms! I have to say - Small Luxuary Hotel brand is never disappointing. I would love to go back to that place! <3

The Hotel Goldgasse is a boutique hotel tucked away in a narrow street by the same name, just off the square with the Dom. If you are going to visit a town like Salzburg, treat yourself to this small but perfectly formed little hotel, with a very well known ground floor restaurant (same name). This small hotel is so cleverly built around this snug space with clever modern amenities abound. I had a lovely room overlooking the little street on the second floor, right above the al fresco dining area, and was worried that I might not get much sleep on account of the noise and the fact that it was warm and the window would be open. The room had a funky “Dyson” fan which I used and slept like a baby with the window closed. The room has a free mini bar and a high class tea and coffee selection (bio degradable coffee pods). The breakfast was world class! The staff were magnificent, right from the check in to the breakfast and then the check out. Friendly and helpful. The restaurant is famous and it would help to book. The fried chicken is a speciality. I would come back in a heartbeat and cannot recommend this place enough!

One night stay during the week. Typical small SLH hotel. Suffers also SLH-typically from completely different pricing options between SLH and hotels webpages. I cannot comment on prices because they are volatile at this time but not cheap (nearly Goldener Hirsch-level). Junior Suite is a larger room (no room divider). Nice room, nice bathroom with shower and enough space. Tiny roof terrace (no view). Friendly and efficient personell. Good breakfast. I wish the lady assigning the breakfast table had mentioned the proceedings or handed a small menu when taking the coffee order (you get bread and some pastries, then after a while a well-stocked etagerie with cheese , ham etc (really nice and good quality) and you can order egg dishes). Goldgasse seems a good choice in Salzburg.
