I booked this hotel last minute as we did not expect to be in Salzburg during our vacation. I was very happy I found this great little hotel. The room was large enough and quite charming compared to the basic Ikea store furniture from most of the hotels we have stayed at in Europe. There was a nice view of...

Our family of 5 ( all adults)stayed in the family apartment from July 14 -18. The room suited our needs perfectly. It was clean, the beds comfortable, and the staff friendly. We did not choose to have breakfast there (we are not breakfast eaters) but it looked very nice. Coffee and tea in the mornings was perfect and the honor...

Introduction; a slightly older couple lucky enough to be travelling in Europe for 5 weeks. Salzburg was stop three after Budapest and Vienna. Arrival; we came by train from Vienna, we caught the bus to the centre, off at Markplatz then it was a few minutes walk. Pick up a map at the information centre at the station. Very easy...

The Hotel Amadeus is located on a pedestrian street, right in the middle of a busy part of the old town, however our taxi was able to deliver us to the door. There are nearby churches, which chime regularly, but this adds to the charm of the place. Our room was on an upper floor, accessed by a small but...

This hotel is centrally located in new town close to shopping and eateries. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The room did not have air conditioning but we did have a fan. The windows provided good air exchange but also let in the sound of noisy patrons coming from local establishments late at night. We learned to close the windows...

Hotel Amadeus is a quaint hotel in a great location in the old town of Salzburg. The hotel is right next to a church where the bells ring every 15 minutes and also sits above a fairly noisy street with bars and restaurants so it is not possible to leave the windows open but there is also no air conditioning...

Very clean, friendly and located in great authentic part of Salzburg. Walk to all of the things to do. Sound of music tour is a good time and a nearby Italian restaurant was good. The room was very clean and well cared for. Breakfast was also very good with a variety of choices.

Overall we were happy with the size of the rooms and the space for our family of five. The location was very convenient to stores, restaurants and the sites. Breakfast every morning was great. Very clean and service was wonderful. Parking for our car was a block away and very inexpensive for 4- days in the garage. Only issue was...

Charming traditional room, super clean, brilliant location next to a church. Peaceful inside but situated on a great stretch of restaurants and bars and just a few minutes from the river. Kindly allowed us an early check in and the staff were very helpful. Would definitely go back!

Sometimes trying to find the perfect hotel and location in a city one has never visited is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. This time I found the needle in regards to the location. I stayed the week of May 13th at this quaint little boutique hotel which is within walking distance of Old Town Salzburg. The...
