My mother and I stayed around a week before the lockdown for a few nights. The room was recently renovated and very trendy and comfortable. The hotel is the perfect location for walking everywhere which meant we could pop back to the room to change jackets etc and drop off shopping when needed. The front desk staff were all friendly and spoke good English which was great for us as I’m very rusty in German. We did not eat in the hotel so cannot comment on the breakfast but when passing by it looked tasty.

Small hotel in Salzburg, very quaint and reasonable prices, stayed there with my son during the Christmas holidays, small rooms but adequate, centrally located, close to ice rink and Christmas markets.

You can’t ask for a better location in Old Town. We were a 5 minute walk to 2 large Christmas markets near the Dom, a 10 minute walk to the funicular to the fortress. Our room was clean and comfortable, but very warm. Our windows opened, so we usually kept them open. The staff were friendly and helpful in giving advice about local sites. I would return here in future trips!

The hotel was average - very nice location, a minute from Mozart Platz. The room was relatively comfy - shower was one of those annoying ones which gets everything wet. But there were plenty of towels. And extra pillows, and a safe and kettle in the room, which I appreciate. The vanity box contained a shower cap, needle and thread and a cotton buds and cotton pad pack (unfortunately, the latter was already open and missing items! Housekeeping missed that one!) The quibbles i had related to the fact that although Expedia put this as a VIP access hotel (which means I was entitled some sort of treat), I got nothing! I received an email from Expedia saying the hotel was giving me a complimentary drink for 2 people, and they didn’t give me anything. Now, while I don’t mind and can happily buy my own drink, I’d say I was entitled it and the hotel knew about it, and yet the Sunday chap on reception either didn’t know or didn’t honour it. So they lost a star here! They lost a second star from me because I asked how to get from the Train station to hotel and the answer (by email but in terrible English) was “take any tram from underneath the train station”. I am sorry: no! You can’t just say that! Even if any tram is fine, you still need to say the stop! How would I know where to get out? Finally, the chap at reception told me to use a bus stop for the airport bus which was further by walk (and also two stops before) the correct stop, which is on the riverside. So again, slapdash customer service. Given that I paid 72 euros, about 10 euros more than I usually do, I only give 3 stars.

Staff was wonderful You can't beat the location. It is convenient to everything and easy to take a busThere is a full breakfast every day, first bottle of water free, and free wifi. There is no ac so anytime I wasn't asleep I had the windows open. During the day and at night I would lock the outside window so some air could come in. wish I'd read the comment about the fan and I would have asked for one. The hotel is located on a side street so there isn't a lot of noise. With any city locaiton you do here people walking and talking down the street. A man was yelling at 5am. I guess you can't do much about street noise. You could also hear your neighbors coming and going. It wasn't as quiet as I liked. The rooms are rather dark. Of course that could have been because my lamp didn't work. (lightbulb out.) It was inconvenient to unplug from the wall when you didn't want it on. In addition the 3 accent lights overhead had a bulb burned out. I left a note on the door the first morning. I told someone the second night but it was never fixed. You could sit in the lobby where is it much brighter. I don't know if it was because I was a single guest but I only got one pillow on my double bed. I asked for another one and received it. I didn't find the bed that comfortable. . It's a great value for the money.
