We spent two nights in this modern hotel in an old building (built in 1653!). The location is great, about 2 or 3 blocks from the river and old town, Mozart birthplace, cathedral, etc. It's one block from the Schloss Mirabell and it's gardens.
Nice, big and clean room. Was there for the Mozart 100 and found everything I needed within walking distance. Friendly staff. Breakfast was OK but not 15€ worth. Had a splendid weekend in a lovely city.

My husband and I walked from the train station. It is a pretty direct route, but takes around 15 minutes. We only had one suitcase each, so walking was easy. At the information desk in the train station, you can ask for the bus number. The bus stop is outside the train station. You can also take a taxi if you have a lot of luggage.
