We read the reviews and held our breath. Let's be clear: the location is fantastic. And we were not bothered by the church bells (we only heard them when awake at night, they didn't wake us or the kids up). Our room was small for our family (room 47, with 4 beds) but adequate. The shared toilet was sufficient and...

So I stayed at this hotel for one night on a Saturday night. The service was great when I arrived and the room was fine for my needs. However, on Sunday I had a large suitcase that I did not want to carry around Salzburg until my train at 7 pm. So, I asked the hotel owner if he could...

Busy street- NOISY esp. At night. 5:30 rubbish truck and 6am bells- 10 mins of clanging weekend is worse. NO LIFT - because it is old. Very small stairs. We stayed a few pleasant nights here. The rooms were basic but clean and as expected for the price. However being basic means no A/C and in a hot august meant that we had to keep the window open night and day. The. Hotel is on a busy pedestrian street and can be quite noisy. But the biggest surprise was...

OK, I usually give basic places the benefit of the doubt because my expectations are pretty low to start with. I just want a clean hotel in a central location with a private bathroom. My husband and I are traveling with children so we usually have to book 2 rooms in Europe because almost no hotels offer rooms for 5....

I failed to extend my stay in another hostel in Salzburg in a busy night (1st November), so I moved to this cute place nearby. Lovely receptionist who even offered herself to carry my heavy suitcase upstairs (!!). She always cared about my stay, asking if I had slept well, if the room was OK and so on (it was,...

Quaint, recently renovated hotel 5 minutes walk from the heart of the city. Great location, light airy rooms. Clean, functional and comfortable. The building is 700 years old so no lift and narrow staircase but felt that this added to its charm.

I have to say at 48 euros per night I wasn't expecting much. The location is ideal, quiet, charming street. My room (number 6) was up 3 flights of stairs and had a small patio which will be nice in the warmer months. All new Ikea furnishings and clean. But incredibly basic, super hard towels, no wifi, not even any...

I spent 3 nights in this wonderful place. It' s really charming. It' s located in the "new" part of the city (even if also here buildings were built in the 17th-18th century). The hotel is at the beginning of a paeceful pedestrian street - Linzer Gasse-. You will reach the river in 5 minuts, the Mozart' s house in...

Great 700-year old building in a very central location. The inside is nicely furnished and clean. Friendly staff. We would stay there again. We were there on rainy and cold days and the room was comfortable. You can preorder breakfast.
