Hotel Garni Sohler is a family-run hotel and that's exactly how it feels - the nice feeling of being home. The owners are very friendly and go out of their way to accomodate their guests. The rooms feature modern, pleasant furniture and almost every room has a balcony, so smokersdon't have to run out on the street every time. The... More

This is a small family run hotel in south Austria in an area with few tourists. The room was large and comfortable with satisfactory breakfast. About 0.5 km away is a series of easy hiking trails leading to Roman well. The hotel is near several spas but on the edge of Villach. There is a Gasthaus with typical Austrian food... More

I slept the best here because of all of the fresh mountain air and the absolute peace and quiet. I also loved the coffee here, it is quality... More

We stayed in this hotel for two nights and were pleasantly surprised by both the rooms and the service. The rooms are modernly renovated, yet still have a touch of Austrian charm. The breakfast was amazing - we were served freshly pressed orange juice, had a choice of tea, coffee or hot chocolate and were offered hard boiled eggs made... More

We stayed there in October 2012 and the hosts were very nice and very helpful. We had a great time there, it's a bit far from the train station but the taxi is cheap and it takes 5 minutes so it's worth spending a few euros. The place is quiet, the rooms are extremely clean and it's nice to walk... More

We chose this hotel only because it was a good stopping point after a day's drive, so I can't comment on Villach as a whole. However, as a place to stay, the Hotel Garni Sohler was one of the best destinations in a 3-week tour of Europe. The rooms are well-appointed and spacious, with certain folkloric details which remind you... More
