Located across the bridge that takes you to Hauptplatz, so a relatively short walk takes you to a nice area of restaurants and the Xmas market. This hotel is modern inside and out. The lobby furniture is particularly trendy in color and shapes. Rooms are very comfortable. Furniture is simple yet modern. Bathrooms are great: good quality hair dryer and...

We stayed 5 nights at the Spitz and could not have felt more comfortable. Our room on the fifth floor (512) was spacious with a nice seating area, plenty of closet space, a balcony, a super comfortable king size bed, and a very clean bathroom. We had breakfast every morning (at an additional charge) and the buffet offered a nice...

Great to return to a hotel that is starting to feel like a second home. The service is great with a decent breakfast. Rooms are well appointed and staying at the back of the hotel guarantees a quiet night. Location is perfect: super close to Ars Electronica centre, tram stop & walking distance to everything one could possibly need to...

I normally stay in the middle of downtown when I come for business but this trip all hotels were booked but I managed to find a room at the Spitz. I was concerned at first due to the look of the location as there wasn't much in terms of restaurants or anything else around but the hotel was really nice....

Lack of air-conditioning in room was a problem. It appears that at shoulder seasons, some rooms have air-conditioning other have heat. After a very lengthy search, Reception staff found another room, same floor but opposite side of corridor with a/c. A much larger room, very clean, and cool during an early hot spell. Buffet breakfast was "ok", but eggs to...

Nice and "artistic" hotel, with very modern lobby, nice standard rooms, parking underground and very close to the city center. Every floor has different mood due to the connection to some museum or cultural institution in the town, and rooms are equipped in comfortable way, they're clean and with big Windows. Nice place for a business trip or a visit...

whenever I stay in Linz, I stay at the Spitz hotel. Its such a great gem, centrally located, modern and Linz-esque design from museums and art foundations around town, intimate and an oh-so amazing and personable staff and General Manager. I love setting up office in the lobby and see the world go by, enjoy the elegant breakfast buffet that...

It could not be easier to stay at The Spitz, there is an underground carpark which exits by lift into reception, check is quick and easy and the rooms clean and well equipped. Breakfast is fine and the staff are all very attentive and friendly.

Clean rooms, decent size for Europe, but not large by any means. A/C might not be enough for someone used to the American standards. Bathroom was immaculate. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was good.

Not a bad hotel, if a bit Travelodge for my taste. Not sure why it has a four star rating, more a two star hotel with delusions of grandeur. Like an old dowager who doesn't realise times have moved on. One major downside is that there are no power points within easy reach of the desk, so bring a power...
