We just arrived back yesterday from staying at Golden Bay Beach Hotel .. we arrived on Tuesday 8th October from staying at Ayia Napa first at another hotel and as soon as we arrived on Tuesday we were immediately welcomed upon arrival and the reception ladies were very smiley and welcoming and even down to the porters who took our luggage for us in our room which is something we didn’t get staying at a 4 star hotel in Ayia Napa and it just made us feel happy and coming into a 5 star exclusive hotel it certainly didn’t disappoint! The hotel itself is very clean and smelt good and we have stayed at a lot of hotels in Cyprus but this is by far the best hotel we have seen and stayed at and definitely would recommend to anyone. The room we stayed at was on level 5.. 521 number and it instantly made me very happy to walk into as it had a lovely spacious balcony .. bathroom was very clean and the room itself looked like a 5 star .. the beach front view we had was out of this world .
We were extremely happy with the food there and the tasty selection they had and it was absolutely delicious food which we never experienced as such in other hotels .. the room itself had a lovely terrance to eat on and the room itself was very attractive.. Donna the waitress was very welcoming and she always gave brilliant service and had a beautiful smile she gave us when we walked in .. the Restaurant Manager Kyriakos Shiakallis was very very polite and welcoming .. he went out of his way and really helped us in many ways we needed but the way he manages that restaurant is not something you see and we was very impressed of the impeccable service he provided for his guests .. you dnt see a-lot of restaurant mangers go around and talk to his guests and check in and see if they need anything or just get to know his customers .. and we were very sad to say bye to him .. we would definitely recommend his restaurant purely because of his lovely nature..respectfulness and the welcome you get from him..which we will be writing a Personel email to him to thank him!

Attentive and pleasant staff everywhere. Tasty food (we dined both nights at Petrino). Comfortable rooms (we stayed in a junior suite), with plenty of complimentary goodies: toiletries (presumably present in all rooms), a fruit basket, a bottle of wine and a bottle of mineral water.
Beach beds were at a lovely location (although many seemed to be "reserved" -- yet empty), extremely close to the hotel (maybe 30 seconds' walk) and we were given fluffy, clean, fresh-smelling towels for our use. We didn't use the pool but it seemed popular. Parking is plentiful and close to the hotel.
We also wanted to say how impressed we were at the hygiene measures implemented by the hotel. Lifts were disinfected several times a day. Face masks were compulsory everywhere indoors, and staff enforced this in a pleasant but firm manner. Moreover, a lovely member of staff was present at the breakfast area entrance at all times, making sure that people disinfected their hands prior to serving themselves. It made us feel at ease despite the pandemic!
We will definitely be back.

We had high hopes of a 5 star holiday but were disappointed in a number of ways. Firstly, it’s important that I say some of the staff were fantastic, Verne and Christianos in particular, both from the restaurant. Some staff were miserable and spoilt the trip, notably the bar staff. The General manager was fantastic.
The location of the hotel is first class, right on top of a sandy beach, which is shelter by two stone breakers making the sea a dream to paddle, swim or snorkel in. It should have been so good.
However, the hotel is showing its age. We stayed at the 3 star Panera Beach on the island last year and it is better than the Golden Bay. I asked for a change of room as ours had badly scuffed floors, damaged doors, cracked tiles in the shower but was offered an €80 per day upgrade instead.
Such a shame. We wouldn’t go again.

Just finished a ten night stay on an all inclusive basis What a pleasure it was to stay here . We email the hotel before we left England as to our requirements ,ie room on a high floor,make up mirror, empty mini bar so we could fill it up with water and asked for a taxi to pick us up from the airport they full filled all our requests. The only draw back about being all inclusive is the food is so good you just eat way to much All the bars and restaurants are fully Staffed ,so you never wait long to get a drink unlike some hotels we have stayed in before. You get a ticket that you put on your umbrella to reserve your sunbeds so no need to run down first thing to bag a sunbed near the pool or beach ( you can move sunbeds later in your stay if you wish when you see no ticket on the umbrella ). All the restaurants are run so well they are clean ,tidy and the staff are never far away to assist you in any way and as soon as someone has finished with there table it’s made ready for the next person . The Credit must go to the restaurant manage who we called Mr example as he lead by it His name is Kyriakos which means Sunday in Greek what a lovely man he is . The pool and the beach are all clean and tidy . The only draw back for me personally is there’s not much to do just outside the hotel So we was getting the bus from outside the hotel in to Larnaca which is not a problem Unless you go there a lot as the cost is 2 euros during the day and 3.50 euros to return at night so for a couple going there each night was costing us 11 euros a day which can workout expensive if you’ve got kids and go there a lot like we did The answer would be for the three hotel there to get together and sort out a shuttle bus to take there guests to Larnaca

Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights during a business trip. Arrived late into the night and was eager to get into my room to sleep. Receptionist was pleasant and seemed to cover most things but the one thing he didn’t mention was the fact that if I wanted to use the gym I need to book in advance due to Covid restrictions and limited availability. When I came to use the gym the next morning I was turned away as they were fully booked and I hadn’t booked in advance. I was also informed it was fully booked all week which was disappointing.
Service outside when wanting a drink was good and quick.
Trying to get a sunbed by the pool or on the beach was extremely difficult as they all seemed to be reserved for the week. When you visit reception they give you a green card with your name and room number on it. You use that to reserve your bed but it seems that people stick it on using elastic bands and leave it there for their entire stay, even over night. Luckily I didn’t use them that much as I was working most of the time.
Breakfast had some good food and covered most bases, whether it be continental, cooked, healthy or unhealthy. One thing that really annoyed me was the lack of attentiveness from the staff. You could get orange juice from the buffet but in order to get hot drinks like coffee and tea you had to get the staff to get you a pot. The staff never seemed forthcoming to offer this and we always had to get out of our seats and walk up to a staff member to ask. Seems abit strange to be honest.
Covid safety was pretty good and they were enduring masks were worn and sanitiser was used when entering the restaurant.

Great views, impeccably clean, generally nice staff, perfectly adequate rooms, but... this does not feel like a five star hotel. Four star at best. All inclusive offering is severely limited. Dinner was always mediocre at best. The taverna restaurant was atrocious (lamb tasted of fish🤢). And there is no service mentality. Very limited table service, meaning you need to trudge to the bar every 30 mins. Towels are treated like gold dust, you need to sign them in and out. The swimming pool was freezing cold. And when we went to play tennis they gave us the oldest crappiest racquets I have ever seen. A lot of facilities were closed due to COVID - no kids club, no animation team. By no means the worst holiday, but I would not be coming back at this price.

The hotel appeared to be pretty full which, considering the pandemic, is good for the hotel.
At all times the staff were excellent
We were given room 502, but we asked to change after 1 night as there appeared to be noise from machinery on the roof ? We were moved to room 525 without a problem and by very willing and helpful staff.
The 'normal' rooms are of a good size, with pretty comfortable beds, plenty of hanging and drawer space for clothing, tea/coffee makers, ample sized bathrooms and a small balcony.
There is a good pool and very safe beach with masses of sunbeds spread around. The grounds are large. You can keep the same sunbed all of your time at the hotel.
While there is an a la carte food menu, all meals are buffet style. The breakfasts have something for everyone, but the lunch and evening meals are not that generous for the selections, and the 'theme' nights lack authenticity e.g. I only realised it was Mexican because a chef was wearing a sombrero !
The hotel is very clean and spacious and, if you have a car there is adequate parking.
There is a minor gripe about housekeeping. At times we had 4 milks, nil at other times. Similarly, the types of teabags and their quantities differed from day to day. I simply do not understand why the lady cleaning the room cannot ensure that all such things are 'evenly' maintained.

The staff at this hotel are rude as anything, from checking in to leaving! Every member of staff needs to go on a customer service programme how to speak to customers. We were in a group of 17! With 7!rooms booked, made to feel we were not wanted. You have people getting naked by the pool infront of kids getting changed, they need to invest in a changing hut. Whole experience was a waste of money, would I stay there and recommend definitely not, only decent people were Cristoff and the catering manager.

We stayed for 9 days in Golden Bay Beach Hotel and really felt that homely feeling. All the staff in every section were very friendly and went out of their way to look after us. Our experience started from our check in at the Reception and continued throughout the hotel. Apart from extensive breakfast buffet, for dinner they have a Theme Night every evening so one has a different cuisine to experience during the week. The cleaning of the room and public areas of the hotel is very thorough, although the external grounds were not used due to the weather. Location of the hotel is ideal. There are quite a variety of different restaurants within the vicinity and there is supermarket just opposite the hotel. Free parking is available in front of the hotel courtyard.

I think the price to be paid for this hotel is not worth the quality. Travelled to Cyprus several times and this was first time in Larnaca, unfortunately won’t be choosing this hotel again. First of all food any time of the day is poor quality, no choices, opening the pots it’s all the same every day, tasteless and dry. The restaurant outside didn’t surprise with food choice as well. Poor quality. Another big disappointment that there is no bridge over the swimming pool, to get to another side of the pool. Need to walk all the way around, and also I’ve seen many people are disappointed over this. That’s the reason I didn’t enjoy all inclusive drinks which ones needed to get from long way walking around the pool. There is no music outside the pool, no pool activities. I think company spending away too much money on logos on tissues, papers etc, which will be throwing away anyways. It’s poor management I guess. Should be concentrated more on staff uniforms, or even renovation of some of the areas in a hotel.
The best thing about this hotel is the room with the sea view, perfectly clean rooms, environment and extremely helpful staff. Ladies at dinning areas are always welcoming and ready to go extra mile for clients! Amazing!

With regards to the food we would like to say that we offer to our guests a The Yacht Club Restaurant with theme nights, the program of which is broadcast on the TV at the entrance. In addition, our guests are given the opportunity to visit the "To Petrino" tavern, where you can taste the variety of Cypriot cuisine. With regards to your comment regards the music and no pool activities, we would like to mention that, unfortunately this season, due to COVID-19 restrictions we had to cancel our daytime animation. This information is written on our website. However, we have left our evening life music, which is running every day. Concerning the renovations we would like to inform that this season we have made following renovations in our hotel: Brand new elevators, hotels' parking, hallways, Patio area, and exterior of the building. On the other hand, please allow us to thank you for your kind words towards our rooms and helpful staff. Nevertheless, please allow us to mention that our hotel is constantly striving to ensure that all services and facilities meet our guests’ expectations and feedback from our guests is one of the most important tools in enabling us to achieve this so thank you once again for sending us yours. Yes all rooms now have ironing boards and good irons. The rooms do have hairdryers, but I don't use it. Sorry, so I don't know if they are good or not.
There are more places to choose from in the Pyla area.
