Detailed Reviews
Aphrodite Sands Resorts looks exaclty like on the pictures and you will see a beautiful garden upon your arrival with nice flowers and palm trees.
The place is clean (July 2020) and all the staff is amazingly helpful especially Lia and Patrick. I believe the price you pay here is really really worth it as you will pay 3 times more for a hotel in Paphos and will not get same size of rooms and same amenities.
You have 5 restaurants if you walk for 5 minutes and a small supermarket. The prices are quite high therefore make sure you take enough pocket money... A bit further away you have a Fruttatria Papamichael with excellent quality food whent it comes to fruit and vegetables. Fresh fish from the sea.
For those who are sensitive to noise, you can get a flat not facing the swimming pool. Unfortunately people do not respect the closing hour (20h00) and kids keep on screaming and jumping in the water. The farmers have as well a weird habit - thes have installed staff that is shooting fake balls in the air every minute to scare birds from the fields and you can actually hear this from the swimming pools ( spunds like a firearm). Management did not seem to be able to do anything about it and that's a pity because several guests were complaining about these shoots.
The sea is about 10-15 minutes walk, beaches are clean with very nice sunsets. Very good experience on the whole.

We have just come back from a week in Mandria, Cyprus staying at the Aphrodite Sands Resort about 10 mile East of Paphos. It's a 10 minute drive from the airport and is in the small village of Mandria. It's a quiet village and at this moment the village centre is being developed and work is in progress. There are a couple of restaurants and a bar, shop and a small medical facility where we had our fit to fly tests for 8 Euro. The hotel itself has apartments that all face the twin pools that form the centre piece of a beautiful hotel complex. The staff will greet you with a smile and personally show you to your room. We had paid for a one bed but on arrival the lady said that we could have a 2 bed apartment with a large balcony at no extra cost! We were shown to our room and we found it clean, modern and well equipped for a self catering holiday. It also had a large balcony leading off the lounge and could also be accessed from one of the bedrooms and it looked straight out onto the pool area and caught the sun as soon as it rose and we really enjoyed our breakfast every morning on the balcony with the morning sun warming our faces. It was always quiet and relaxed and never noisey at night which meant we slept well. There is also ample parking if you hire a car which we did and found the roads relatively empty around the island and the A6 (2 lane motorway) was about 1 mile from the apartment and from there you could access the road that will take you right across the island from East to West. We could not fault our stay at Aphrodite Sands and would highly recommed a stay if your looking for a relaxed and chilled Hotel.

This resort has great apartments and villas (we have stayed in both), very clean, lovely landscaped gardens and child friendly. There are also 2 pools, a fantastic gym and it also has the most friendly and helpful staff you could wish to meet. The Villa was particularly relaxing and offered even more privacy and a private pool for our family. Close to the beach, village (where there are 4 great restaurants), supermarkets and a short drive to the motorway if you want to explore further (we visited Pissouri and Limassol) . This Resort, away from the noise of the town centre, offers a relaxing place to stay and is also great value for money. Highly recommended.

Was upgraded on my six night stay to a spacious 2 bedroom apartment. Property was exactly like the photos, very clean and well set up.
Lovely pool area with sun on it for nearly all of the day. Spotless changing rooms/toilets attached to the gym which looked well equipped.
Very good service, Lia on reception quick to reply to emails before my stay and gave me lots of info on arrival. €20 taxi arranged via the property from the airport with ease and was on time.
Quiet location. No notable flight noise even though close to airport, no road noise either. 5 min walk to village centre with restaurants and mini market, 15 min walk to the beach (beach isn’t very nice, used the pool daily). Bigger better supermarket about 30 min walk away, better for longer stays.
If I stayed longer or wanted to use the beaches I would recommend a car hire as there are are limited eating/shopping/beach options locally.
No criticisms and very good value for money overall but would like to see some extras in the kitchen (ie: aluminium foil, ice tray, cleaning spray etc), mattress protectors and extra lighting in the outside areas at night as very dark to find your way to your apartment. Would stay again.

We stayed at this resort for 7 days in July 2022. This is going to be an honest review of pros and cons:
Pros:
1. Location is lovely in a quiet Cypriot village with several restaurants and bars less than a five minute walk.
2. Apartments are spacious and have decent internet.
3. Pool is nice with landscaping (read cons).
4. Plenty of on-site parking.
5. Apartments are well equipped.
Cons
1. Upon arrival during hours of darkness we found reception locked and in darkness. Luckily I had a mobile phone to call the site manager or we could have been struggling.
2. Our particular apartments was very tired and needed some TLC. Needs a deep clean, blinds are filthy, mould in shower tray, one toiled completely disconnected (I fixed this myself as nobody at reception all weekend), tv aerial was missing, several wall sockets do not work, shower in en suite leaks at shower head (washer needs replacement). Furniture generally needs updating.
3. The pool area doesn’t have enough sun beds and those that they do have they allow guests to reserve and leave unused all day, this is despite the fact that this would be policed in the welcome documentation. If you aren’t staying in one of the pool side accommodations you don’t get a look in. This could easily be remedied simply by purchasing more sun beds. There should be enough beds for all guests and there simply isn’t.
5. Sun bed cushions are in desperate need of replacement. I suggest management may need to go and inspect them and a number of the sun beds which are falling to pieces.
In summary this is a very nice complex that would benefit greatly from a bit of TLC. A big measure for me is whether we we would stay again, and on this front it’s a definite yes we would. It was a pleasant surprise to find out one bedroom apartment had been upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment when we arrived, still not 100% sure why but that was a welcome touch.

We arrived at nearly midnight to be greeted by Peter, he showed us to and around our very large 2 bed apartment. What a brilliant gentleman, full of advice and recommendations, he even sent links to us. The apartment had everything you needed, plus more, WiFi was free, Aircon, fully functioning kitchen, washing machine, airer (and pegs) 2 bathrooms and all immaculately maintained and presented. Remembering this is not a hotel it did have 2 good size pools, a gym and a spa. Situated 10 minutes drive from the airport and you rarely notice the aircraft, Mandria is a brilliant location with a few little eateries / bars that all serve excellent food. Only 15 minutes from paphos it is in the ideal place. 10 out of 10 we WILL be returning!

I have put this as very good, but I'd say its more good (only other option was average and it was above that).
It was lovely to get some sunshine and a holiday during the pandemic. Cyprus weather was glorious. These apartments are pretty good with everything you need, however our one E001 was on a corner opposite where the cleaners store their stuff and hang out and feed all the cats. The side of our apartment was used as a dumping ground for storing stuff. At one point during one lunch time, we were sat on our little patio area having some lunch, when one of the maintenance men leaned over the small wall and proceeded to wash his paint roller brush in our garden bit! Lovely bloke but not what you'd expect to see.
The complex is great, lovely pool, good size gym, nice spa with good priced treatments. The ground floor apartments are great because you can walk straight to the pool.
There is a small village with approx 5 restaurants/Bars 5 mins up the road (only 3 were open as they are doing some road construction there). These are fine, but you get the same food, so if you want to go further then a Car is a must. Paphos is lovely and a short bus or car ride away. You are really close to the airport here but the noise isn't annoying.
The staff are really nice here and very helpful. If you spend more than 40 euros, then they will arrange for the large supermarket up the road to come and pick you up and then drop you back again.
Would come back as long as we avoided apartment E001

We stayed for 10 days with our three children. Pros are the lovely pool area, beautiful gardens, close proximity to the airport, good WiFi and air con, and the helpfulness of Peter and Angelica - a truly personalised service that was much appreciated. However, this is not a 4 star. The apartments are fine but basic and no effort was made to present them nicely. The beds were simply made up with sheets and little touches matter after a long journey. Under the beds were filthy. The shower wouldn’t drain properly, the plug at the telly made worrying crackling and hissing noises every time it was touched and there weren’t enough plugs to have DVD player and WiFi on at the same time. But of a pain with young kids! There is NO snack bar and hasn’t been for a while. That was a real disappointment to me. Again, really nice to be able to buy snacks for children. It is NOT a ‘stone’s throw’ from the beach as described. It’s a long walk! Not far off a km. a car is essential but that’s not a surprise. And the office sorted our car hire for a great price. The pool area, as others have pointed out, doesn’t have enough beds and they are in poor condition. Mandria is tiny. There is nothing there aside from a few taverns and a cafe. But the taverns are lovely for an evening meal. But it is lovely and peaceful with a real sense of authentic Cyprus. But don’t expect the luxury or elegance described. Having said all of that, we really did have a lovely holiday but I was really disappointed the first couple of days.

Stayed here in September 2022 with my wife and decided to take our daughter and granddaughter for a short stay as a treat. The complex is very well maintained and situated in the peaceful village of Mandria, which is less than 10 minutes drive from Paphos airport. The apartments have everything you would want for self catering holiday with a lovely pool set up with gym and spa beneath. The staff are really friendly and go the extra mile to help you, whether it's organising a taxi or arranging your trip to the local supermarket. Can not praise them enough. The village as 4 decent restaurants which provides a good mix of menus. Love this place so much we have booked to back in September. Certainly a place to kick back and do sod all.

We re-booked here for 7 nights as it’s the perfect location for birdwatching during spring migration. We emailed before and asked for a room facing the fields. The room allocated was more than we had expected. We had a 2-bed, 3 bathroom apartment. Fully stocked and a perfect little terraced garden with balconies each side of the apartment. Plenty of parking. Large fridge, freezer. Microwave, oven, kettle etc
Salt, pepper, cutlery, plates, cooking utensils all included.
Lots of places to eat in Mandria village.
We had a late flight on the day of departure and asked if we could keep the room or store our luggage, we were up and out at 5am each day so they advised they could confirm this before we were due to check out. A few hours later we had a text saying we could keep the room for as long as needed that day and this really helped us out and meant we could freshen up before our flight home.
We absolutely love this hotel and this is our first choice for every visit to Cyprus.
Thanks to all the staff.

Good morning!
Our pools are open every day from 08:00 till 20:00!
Hi, it is approx the same price via Airbnb and the site Aphrodite itself. I booked personally via Airbnb for 400 euros for 10 days for a flat with 2 bedrooms. The most expensive site is Booking. They will make you pay Eur 100.- per day. Crazy.
No bar, shop or restaurant. There is a mini mart about a 5 to 10 min walk, and about 5 or 6 restaurants
