Just come back. Apartment and pool lovely. In village just 3 places to eat and drink. Bus is non existent. Paphos is 20 minutes drive away and beach 20 minutes walk. No facilities at all. No bar, food or even a vending machine. Small corner shop in village. They do offer free taxi to supermarket and back. Website states snack bar but there is not one there. If you want a quiet holiday this is the place. As we had no car, cost 25 euros each way to the harbour. This is not close for amenities. We arrived at 11.30 pm and couldn't even get water. The resort mainly caters for people who have a car, as many are privately owned. Unfortunately was far too quiet and felt hemmed in due to lack of transport options. Village has building works going on everywhere, so dust blowing around the couple of restaurants. Centre of Paphos has plenty to see and do. This was just too far out of the way and so desolate, disappointed as states local to beach and Paphos.

We have just come back from a week in Mandria, Cyprus staying at the Aphrodite Sands Resort about 10 mile East of Paphos. It's a 10 minute drive from the airport and is in the small village of Mandria. It's a quiet village and at this moment the village centre is being developed and work is in progress. There are a couple of restaurants and a bar, shop and a small medical facility where we had our fit to fly tests for 8 Euro. The hotel itself has apartments that all face the twin pools that form the centre piece of a beautiful hotel complex. The staff will greet you with a smile and personally show you to your room. We had paid for a one bed but on arrival the lady said that we could have a 2 bed apartment with a large balcony at no extra cost! We were shown to our room and we found it clean, modern and well equipped for a self catering holiday. It also had a large balcony leading off the lounge and could also be accessed from one of the bedrooms and it looked straight out onto the pool area and caught the sun as soon as it rose and we really enjoyed our breakfast every morning on the balcony with the morning sun warming our faces. It was always quiet and relaxed and never noisey at night which meant we slept well. There is also ample parking if you hire a car which we did and found the roads relatively empty around the island and the A6 (2 lane motorway) was about 1 mile from the apartment and from there you could access the road that will take you right across the island from East to West. We could not fault our stay at Aphrodite Sands and would highly recommed a stay if your looking for a relaxed and chilled Hotel.

I have put this as very good, but I'd say its more good (only other option was average and it was above that). It was lovely to get some sunshine and a holiday during the pandemic. Cyprus weather was glorious. These apartments are pretty good with everything you need, however our one E001 was on a corner opposite where the cleaners store their stuff and hang out and feed all the cats. The side of our apartment was used as a dumping ground for storing stuff. At one point during one lunch time, we were sat on our little patio area having some lunch, when one of the maintenance men leaned over the small wall and proceeded to wash his paint roller brush in our garden bit! Lovely bloke but not what you'd expect to see. The complex is great, lovely pool, good size gym, nice spa with good priced treatments. The ground floor apartments are great because you can walk straight to the pool. There is a small village with approx 5 restaurants/Bars 5 mins up the road (only 3 were open as they are doing some road construction there). These are fine, but you get the same food, so if you want to go further then a Car is a must. Paphos is lovely and a short bus or car ride away. You are really close to the airport here but the noise isn't annoying. The staff are really nice here and very helpful. If you spend more than 40 euros, then they will arrange for the large supermarket up the road to come and pick you up and then drop you back again. Would come back as long as we avoided apartment E001

Can't praise the resort, the accommodation or the staff enough. All areas are kept immaculately clean and the pool area has plenty of beds and umbrellas for all to enjoy. We recently spent 2 weeks at the resort, our second visit in 3 years and found all accommodation to be clean, comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Lia and all the office staff can't do enough to help and are available 24/7 if needed. Questions were answered quickly and efficiently and always with a smile I would highly recommend a visit especially if you want a quiet get away.
