We stayed at the Ambassador hotel as part of a group of fans from Holland to assist a football game in Monaco. The hotel is perfectly located in the centre of Monaco and we received an excellent service from the french receptionist ,sorry don’t remember his name,a bit difficult. He gave us some useful informations and directions for Monaco and Nice ,a good man with a good humor and good mood.We do recommend this hotel to everybody.
Stayed at the end of October as a couple at the ambassador hotel and we were so disappointed as with its prime location ,the hotel could be so much better and upmarket. There is a lack of customer care ,going from a very rude old night receptionist who lacks any skills in dealing with customers,I am afraid he passed his sell by date, then you have during the day,the lady receptionist who just does not bother speaking English and makes no effort whatsoever in trying to understand you, then you have the restaurant manager (he does not look like a manager at all but more like a bully) who is a very rude ,paranoid person who stays in front of you watching you eating and waiting for you to finish ,so he can charge you ,as if we were going to run away after eating, very strange person. On a business level, these details will be harming the hotel and could result in income losses.I know what I am taking about as I am in hospitality business, and to be honest ,I never saw such bad customer care.…
The room was ok, but old. You can totally see that the hotel had his best years, a lot of years ago. The breakfast room was in the night time a pizzeria and it looked pretty nasty. The breakfast was bad!! As a vegetarian u could just eat a toast with butter. Even my partner who normally eats meat didn’t like to eat that ham so he also ate a toast with butter they didn’t serve any water for breakfast. Maybe you get a better overall view from Monaco if you stay in a different hotel and pay probably the double off the price but this is probably worth it. But to das something nice, The receptionist from check-in was nice
I arrived late at night from a delayed flight and how tiring was to make myself understood as the receptionist's English speaking was poor.I even tried in French but it was worse as the receptionist spoke only Italian. For god's sake,we are in Monaco. The room was very basic with no view, but hey you get what you paid for.The location is good as it is central in Monaco. The breakfast was managed by a rude lady who spoke only Italian again. In the evening for dinner ,you have the cook and the waiter shouting to each other from one end of the restaurant to the other end with customers trying to have dinner in between.please!!! You don't feel like you are in Monaco but in a cheap hotel in a poor area of Naples where people are shouting to each other from all angles, shouting from hotel area to the restaurant area, from the restaurant area to the street.....A big mess Less the food as the food was not as good as in Naples.…
We did enjoy our stay in july at the Ambassador hotel .The hotel itself is quite basic with basic rooms and a free limited buffet breakfast is offered for free. The rooms are quiet simple .But the location is just great ,youare never more than 15mn walk from any major Monaco s landmarks, whether it is the casino square, the harbour with its many restaurants and bars or the palace. The staff are friendly and helpful in particular the lady manager and the night receptionist who both speak perfect english with a great sens of humor from the last one Some issues with the air conditionning
