We arrived at 10.00pm instead of 5.00pm due to a 5 hour flight delay. I emailed the them from the airport and someone waited for us to arrive. We were let into room 12 which was absolutely freezing cold. The owners hadn’t the forethought to turn the heating on for our arrival so we spent the first night thinking we were on a SAS selection course. They say first impressions last so the freezing room was not good. Then opening the drawer on the dresser followed. Well actually the drawer followed me because when I went to open it the carcass of the drawer didn’t move but the drawer front was in my hand. Come light of day, and jumping on the spot fully dressed with every item of clothing we had packed to raise our body temperatures back to somewhere near normal, we surveyed our surroundings more in hope than expectation, we didn’t expect much and we were not disappointed. The pipes to the radiators and other areas of the plumbing were strangers to paint but not to rust. In fact it is fair to say that paint and the application thereof in any part of the apartment had not been a priority for at least the last 15 years. If you like stained pillows and quilts, dismantled furniture on the stairs leading to the rooms upstairs, outside areas that David Attenborough could make a entire wildlife series on then I would suggest this could for you. To be fair to Christina, who was very charming, we did not tell her of our concerns, we stayed another night then left and checked into a hotel to continue our long awaited break in comfort and warmth. Why didn’t we tell Christina? Because there was no point, it will take a team of builders to renovate the room and to be honest we only had a weeks holiday.

The location is good as a base for visiting western Cyprus by car - we did day trips to Akamas and Pano Panagia for hiking and also to Droussa and Cape Drepano. There are several cafes, restaurants and a big supermarket in a short walking distance. The apartment was not new but reasonably comfortable and clean, with a kitchenette and everything you need for a short stay. There was an additional charge of 5 euros for air condition but it was clearly specified when booking (and it was useful for heating in December). Altogether the price was very reasonable, at least out of season. The breakfast was very abundant - English breakfast with eggs and bacon, plus haloumi and olives plus jam and honey and yoghurt and delicious freshly squeezed orange juice. Last but not least, Christina was a very friendly host. Her place is a house with holiday apartments but it has a family feel.

‘Never again’ The apartment looks nicely on photos. In real the rooms need a total renovation and cleaning. We didn’t expect much, just clean room, bed with fresh linen and clean bathroom. Unfortunately ( The toilet and bathroom were disgusting. Bed sheets, linens were old, stained.Towels that were once white, now are grey. 5 euro per day for air conditioning - sounds strange in Cyprus, when temperature is up to 40... Breakfast was served outside, in the nice garden. The variety of dishes wasn't rich, but it is not so important. The food wasn't covered and flies were sitting on it..... We stayed there just 1 night instead of 2 paid. The hosts were so much interested in their guests that we couldn’t find them, we left the key at the reception. Dear Christa, please do not reply. Your ironic answer I received through Booking.com ➕ Nothing

We stayed for one night. We made our booking via phone about a week before arriving, and were told of the room charges - 40 euros for each studio, and 50 for each one bedroom flat. Extra charges without prior notification: On checkout, we were asked to pay 50, instead of the specified 40 euros, for each of the two studio flats we rented. We were also charged an additional 5 euros for each extra person in the room (I'm still unsure of this charge - we had one extra person in each of the three rooms, and got charged for two extra people for one of them!) and 5 euros for aircondition (again was no mention of an extra charge neither on check in, or when we made the booking - and no sign in the room). When we confronted the owner, who was the person in charge, about the charges she threw a tantrum and started yelling that she will waive all charges. We eventually gave up as she was very unwilling to make the effort to explain things to us, paid the full amount and left. Swmming pool: The swimming pool and pool loungers were dirty - you could see green algae on the sides and it didnt look as if it had been profesionally cleaned in a very long time. Two of us got bladder infections.

Very bad service.. the pool was dirty and green, there was even sand at the bottom.. we ask for the price when we call for reservation and the lady told us €50 for EACH ROOM! We were never been told that there was any extra charge for any extra person.. They charge us extra for one person and the aircondition (the remote was already in the room, we never ask for aircondition!).. at the check out the owner was very rude!

Stayed at Sun Villa3 this June and was very impressed. The villas are situated down a private lane and with only 8 villas in the whole street are not crowded. Each villa has its own garden and private pool and the grounds are large enough to not be looked over. With 2 bedrooms and 2 en suites , a large living area and kitchen there is plenty of space for a family or small group of friends. The outside areas are pleasant with sheltered eating areas. Polis is a lovely town and the vilas are within walking distance of the square and also the beach is a 5 min walk. The owners of the villas live in the village and came to vist to check we had everything we needed which I felt was a nice touch. I for one will defiantly be visiting again

A lovely very private villa in Polis within walking distance of loads of tavernas. Great pool area with plenty shade available if required. Enjoyed picking oranges and lemons off the trees in the garden for freshly squeezed juice every morning. close to Latchi harbour where there are good seafood restaurants and boat trips. Totally recommended.
