My husband and I stayed at the hotel for a week and what a fab week we had. The hotel is welcoming and all the staff are friendly and approachable. Nothing was too much trouble. Both Maria and her colleague in the bar made us feel very welcome and Katalin and his team in the restaurant where helpful, and friendly. This is a nice hotel to stay in. All the area's are clean, in fact the cleaning staff are on hand most of the day. Location wise it's ideal, with a Lidl opposite and bus running to both Coral Bay and Paphos Harbour within a 2 min walk of the hotel. The only downside was the walk up the hill to leave the hotel (quite steep and probably not very good for visitors with poor mobility). The breakfast was OK, with always something to eat, however, I would recommend that you dont leave it until 11am to venture in there as they switch everything off and start to strip the tables. Around 10.30 is a good time. We had our evening meal in the restaurant a couple of times and each time the food was tasty and plentiful. 3 courses for 20 euro each (about £36 for the two of us) was good value. Happy hour in the bar is between 6 & 7pm where you can buy local wines and beers, plus very tasty cocktails, in a relaxed and chilled environment.
The bus service is regular and we paid 5 euro each for a day ticket which we used to visit the Harbour (a must if you like some good food and a people watch), the old town where the Market is and we also visited Coral Bay which is nicely chilled out and very compact. There is also a large shopping mall where you can buy high end goods and tobacco (no amber leaf in Paphos though! - you can buy it duty free in Paphos airport though which worked out at £110 for 10 x 50g pouches). The weather was fab whilst we where there, not guaranteed for a Feb break, and we had a lovely chilled out holiday. We will go back to Cyprus again one day. Lovely :-)

Having stayed at Capital Coast from 27th Sept - 6th Oct I can say I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel.
Brilliant location, 20 minutes from the airport, bus stops are outside the hotel €1.50 pp to Paphos Harbour and buses run every 15mins, Lidl across the road and bars and restaurants are just 10min walk down the road. Hotel is clean and modern but is in need of some refurbishment & tlc. WIFI is good and free as are pool towels but you do need to leave a refundable €5 deposit per towel. Food and drinks are reasonable value and happy hour in the main bar is exceptional value with all cocktails made fresh with real fruit and fresh cream.
I suspect the negative reviews are based on bad room choice and unrealistic expectations. - you get what you pay for - there are a wide range of rooms and prices. I paid (extra) for a sea view suite and it was excellent. I saw no end of people trying to get upgrades having paid for lower grade rooms. The hotel was full so there was no option for an upgrade and the staff would try to overcome language difficulties and manage unrealistic expectations. Not the staff’s fault.
Extremely safe, quiet vibe overall. Staff are helpful and the cleaning never stops. The cleaners are constantly busy, our room was cleaned daily, towels every second day unless we wanted them sooner. Toiletries replenished when needed and the kitchen was fully stocked allowing us to shop at Lidl across the road and cook in the room.
Over this period was a Jewish Holiday. From this group some guests were rude, they brought there own food to the pool and outside bar area making demands of the staff and not offering a tip. The Jewish groups partied into the night messing around in the pools until 10pm and beyond and bringing there own drinks to consume in the hotel grounds. The noise did keep me up beyond midnight.
None of this can be blamed on the staff or facilities but maybe a more robust regime to manage the behaviour would not have gone amiss.
I would always challenge guests to put themselves in the staff’s shoes before taking aim and offering criticism.

Nice rooms, big hotel with spa and great breakfast.
But.. Building needs renovation, 100eur deposit on arrival should be removed and free wifi should be provided.
If you are looking for a place to rest sleep well or a room soundproof or lightproof... This is not the one.

This hotel is terrible. The staff are extremely rude if you wanted to complain. Cannot be bothered kind of attitude by staff. The hotel is no way a four star.. more like 2star. Paint peeling off, loose tiles, cockroaches in room! Staff not at all friendly or professional, hotel is quite dirty.. do not waste your money in staying here! Location is not a beachfront location, WiFi is not free. Pay 3euro per day and does not work very well.. shower temperature goes hot and cold on own accord, shower door broken so water leaked.. too noisy as it’s floors are tiled. We stayed in room 208. Next to lift.. heard lift sound in our room. One cannot get relaxation in the hotel. It’s not at all pleasant. Facilities are not very good in quality either, gym equipment broken, pool very poor condition with cat litter in it. Cats everywhere.. Ferrell cats.. easy to catch disease. No management control. Breakfast disgusting and very poor quality. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

when we first arrived we was a little annoyed having been up for hours, then travelling to finally arrive at our hotel to be told our room wasn't ready and to wait in the waiting area which was already full so ended up being sat on the floor with luggage and a very confused, hungry toddler. This wasn't what we had imagined when arriving i was close to tears. After what felt like hours i went back to ask reception staff how much longer where she went and upgraded us to the sea room. Honestly from that little hiccup on arrival it was a lovely stay. Breakfast was fantastic, rooms were always cleaned and some lovely maids who left little elephants made with the towels which my little boy really liked. Some would help you out if the key card stopped working 'this happened to us 3 times' for some reason it had expired. The staff around the pool helpful, it was clean and friendly. A big shout out to Stavros i believe his name was, he made our stay special, he was kind, always made effort to chat with us in the mornings and just a very friendly man, my little boy was always looking out for him and as was he.
One tip would be if you have children and you are being sat for breakfast ask to sit close to the buffet as it can be hard work going back and forth carrying drinks and plates, and as some know they become very impatient so by the time you've gone up to get their food then your own they already want to leave so its much easier being that little bit closer so you can do it quicker than if you was sat very far away. i did use a tray once to carry mine and my little boys so we could eat at the same time but i dont think it was allowed as i had a stinking look from one of the workers so didn't do it again but it was very handy.
The sunset is pretty amazing so if you can defiantly book the sea rooms I am so glad we got upgraded to this as its pretty breath taking.
So thank you to some of the lovely staff for our stay i would defiantly return in the future.

We booked a standard room and got a room from zero floor. Balcony was facing to a high wall, no view to anything. We tried to get it changed but we were told (in a very rude way) that all standard rooms are like that. There were many other negative surprises all the time. Wifi was advertized as free but still we had to pay for it. Hotel website advertized a special offer of half-board in the price of B&B but when we made the reservation and asked for it, they told we need to pay extra. Room was not cleaned by 6 pm, we had to remind twice before it was done.

we arived at evening to the hotel.
first, the wifi costs us money (F 2020!)
second, all of the water from the shower just poured out of the room because there was no rubber in the shower door.
The beds- are two seperate beds that they connect them to each other and we are young couple that want to sleep together!
i asked them for high floor and front of the pool, they put us in 2floor and back of the hotel.
The Tv does not accepted HD.
So when i go to the service (of course the room`s phone doesnt work) and told them about the problems, they told me (with shouts) that is to late and this is how the shower and the tv goes "thats how the system work on the hotel" (in their words).

We really enjoyed our stay at capital coast, the hotel is nice and clean with great views. The room was clean and modern and the staff are all very friendly and attentive. Also the food was really nice, including the poolside food which seemed to be made fresh. There are also many decent restaurants a 10/15 min walk away, and the harbor is a short taxi ride away.
The younger barman who worked on the pool bar and indoor bar was particularly friendly and knows his stuff with regards to cocktails.
I dont understand the negative reviews on this hotel as i think you’d struggle to get nicer facilities, food and drink for the price of this hotel.

Came to this hotel 8 years ago and wasn't impressed. Thought we'd give it another chance.

Check in was 3:00pm, we arrived at 4:00pm and were stood in line for over half an hour to check in. Not a good start:(

Staff are very polite and helpful.

Hotel is run down and has no character.

Wifi is not free, we paid €3 per day but as soon as we left the lobby it stopped working.

Called reception several times and had to go down to reception all the time.

Corridors are tiled flooring and extremely noisy.

Restaurant is very good, food and staff.

Unfortunately we won't be visiting again.

Rooms were cleaned everyday, good variety of food, great location and staff were very friendly. The hotel was very clean hotel, location was also very good as hotel located opposite beach. Quite a few homeless cats around but they weren’t an inconvenience. Bus is opposite hotel so is Aldi supermarket. Bus ride is only 3 euro a trip or 6 for the whole day. Bus to Paphos harbour was only 10 mins away and 5 minutes from shopping mall. Lots of great restaurants on main road opposite hotel.
Good for couples, group of friends and families.
