In the heart of the tourist area of Paphos an apartment complex "Princessa Vera" founds a quiet corner as the big white ship peacefully standing in the bustling harbor. Once in it after the bright sun, you will notice how light colors of the hotel, green lawns and flower beds nicely refreshing and shading spaces create a feeling of coolness.

We went along with our son who is disabled. We spent a lovely 10 night stay at the Princess Vera. From our arrival until we left we had nothing but a great experience. Our room was cleaned every day, fresh bedding and towels also provided every day. All we can say is the people who criticise this hotel are either people who will never be pleased or simply looking to pick faults. From the staff at front desk, to cleaning staff, bar staff, restaurant staff, we were welcomed wholeheartedly ,with friendliness and courtesy. The amazing Mr Panikos went out his way to ensure our needs for our son were met. We do not look for anything extra when taking a disabled child abroad but every single staff member at the hotel made our son feel included and valued. We met some lovely people staying who also appeared to enjoy also. The staff worked effortlessly to keep the place running smoothly. We will definitely return again because we had a tremendous experience in a hotel that went above and beyond for our needs. Mr Panikos and all your staff we wish you all the very very best and keep up the tremendous job you all do. You made a very special holiday for my wife and I but importantly our son. We will recommend to our friends and family. Mr Panikos was a very special part of our holiday …

We arrived after midnight, the gentleman on reception kindly showed us where we could park. The car park isn't actually an area its more spaces under the 1st floor of the hotel, but there was plenty of on road parking nearby. Unfortunately the room we were given was a studio not the 1 bed apartment we had booked. We spent the 1st night there, but saw the receptionist the following morning and were given a key to a 1 bed apartment. this room was exactly what we had booked. The hotel was clean and tidy, the pool area was cleaned daily and all the staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel is in a great location for walking to Paphos market, the harbour (although the coastal path was closed for improvements) etc. We stayed on B&B basis and were pleased with the selection each morning. The pool was pleasant although the sea was better! Beautiful sunsets from the balcony each evening, just remember Cyprus is 2 hrs in front of UK so its dark by 7.30pm in Sept. We have already booked to go back which backs up our rating for this review.

Princess vera hotel. I first arrived at 00:15 on Monday 11th September the staff are very helpful it's a fantastic place to stay good clean hygiene. And if I may point out the food is absolutely delicious especially the evening meal I couldn't have wished for better food no matter at what cost the chef is pleasant and polite and the waiter/waitress.will definitely be coming back next year 😀

Seeing some of the recent reviews, made us wonder wether to cancel !! Got dropped off 1st from airport. Arrived just after midnight. Chap on reception welcomed us and gave us the room key (307) This also acts as your power to the room. Place it into a wall socket/holder. Be warned it does come on with a bang. Room was clean. 2 singles. Fridge/Microwave/Kettle/TV & UK sockets. Breakfast 7-10. Good selection of food. Fruit/Pastries/Scrambled/Hard boiled eggs/Ham (bacon ish) Sausages/Cereals/Fruit juices/Tea & coffee. It is situated on a main road but I wouldn’t say it’s over noisy. First night as we arrived, nearby Thomas’s Jungle bar had Karaoke going - it was in full swing but ended at 0130. There’s been nothing from the place the last 2 nights. Harry’s Bar is part of the hotel but not heard anything from there. Housekeeping been spot on. The pools are mostly clean - yeah some water residue on sides but didn’t stop us going in and they were hosed down on a morning. A few shops near by for essentials to buy from. There’s a Lidl a few bus stops away. Cost €1.50 PP for each journey (try to have correct money) McDonald’s is a 5-10 minute walk away. With a KFC near to Lidl. Kings shopping mall is 3-5 min walk the other way. Wow, that’s a nice place. Subway/Burger King/Costa/Starbucks etc even a Marks & Sparks plus many other shops. Tried to put enough detail in to help others that maybe staying at Princess Vera. On our visit I honestly couldn’t fault it. Just remember you can’t put loo paper down the loo, so you do get a waft of Pooh as you walk around places. Enjoy your time there - We did 😎😀🌞

Checked in very late extremely smooth, the lovely gentleman on reception was so kind and helpful I'd requested a ground floor by email which was honoured. Lovely spacious well equipped clean room. Housekeeping brilliant. Staff. Absolutely delightful. Couldn't do enough for you. Food for a three star hotel I would say exceptional The location is great right on a bus route to lots of places. Beautiful mall 3mins walk. Two small beaches within a few minutes walk Great place. I would definitely recommend.

Long honest review but stick with it if you can as I think this hotel gets a bad rap from complainers! We arrived at the hotel around 10.45pm on the Friday night. As a family of 5 we had booked a studio apartment for my daughters age 23 & 21, along with a one bedroom apartment for myself, my husband and my son aged 18. We were allocated studio apartment 323 and one bedroom apt 412. We all went to our designated rooms. When we arrived at our 1 bedroom apartment I was initially really disappointed. It looked like a 1 bedroomed bedroom. There was a double pull out bed for my son, which we did expect, but this took up most of the main living area. There was also no natural light / window in this area, so any light coming in had to come from leaving the bathroom or bedroom door open and meaning most of the time we were in the apartment we had to have the big light on. Some of the wallpaper was coming away or what looked like damp damaged in the bedroom and decor generally I thought looked like it was very shabby and tired . There was a total of 4 coat hangers for 3 people for a 2 week holiday and silly things like 2 forks and 2 outside chairs on the terrace. We called our daughters and went up to their apartment to see how that was. In comparison to ours, it was lovely. Very open and spacious and nicely decorated. They were very happy. I went to the reception and asked if there was a possibility to change rooms but was told no and that our apartment was one of their best rooms ???? I was told to wait until the morning which I did. In the morning and after discussion with my son and husband, we decided that as we weren’t planning on spending too much time in the apartment, we would put up with it and make it work for us. I did, however, return to reception and ask for an extra outside chair, more coat hangers, and an airer to dry our towels outside as we had nowhere to put anything. Within a day, all of these things were brought to our apartment which was great. Now after the initial bad start - we got on with our holiday! On the Saturday the pool looked very murky and dirty. But by the Sunday, this appeared to have been addressed and it remained looking much cleaner for the rest of our time there. The hotel appeared to be very busy at breakfast, especially if you weren’t down early, however, I have no idea what happened to people after this because around the pool area, it was very quiet most of the time and there was never a problem getting a sun-bed at any time of the day. There were plenty and even more were delivered. The pool areas seemed pretty quiet in comparison to other hotels we’ve stayed at and we found the pool areas to be clean and tidy. Our cleaners came most days to empty bins and change towels. Our bedding could’ve done to have been changed an extra time but we’re clean people so this didn’t overly bother us. If there was one thing I would say is that the mattresses in the 412 are horrendously uncomfortable, with big delves in the middle which you just roll into. These ideally need to be replaced. This hotel is very well located. It’s is a fair walk to the harbour (20 mins) but we did this most nights without any issues. There is an excellent shopping centre with supermarkets about 5-10 mins walk, lots of lovely restaurants both surrounding the hotel and at the harbour ( I can highly recommend Hondros Taverna on the way down to the harbour). There is a fantastic beach further up the Tombs of the kings road ( 25 mins walk) and fantastic sunset views just a few minutes walk from the hotel. We visited the Archeological / world heritage site (Paphos Mosaics) down at the harbour and caught a bus to Limassol from the old town, so there is plenty to do and it’s in a great location if this is the type of holiday you want. I would especially like to thank the middle aged gentleman on the reception who was very helpful on the last day of our holiday with organising our checkout. All in all, for what we paid for this hotel, we felt we got what we paid for. For people moaning, remember it is not a 5 star hotel, you haven’t paid 5 star hotel prices, you won’t get a 5 star hotel experience. Thank you Princessa Vera - we had a fabulous holiday!

We stayed at the Vera Hotel for 10 nights. We booked a 1 bedroom Apartment we were given a room with a balcony overlooking a car park which wasn't a great view as we like to sit on the balcony in the evening. The room itself was clean and spacious. There was 4 of us in the party, the bed was comfy in the bedroom but in the living area they had given us 2 pull out sofa beds but they were rock hard with no mattresses which wasn't great. Breakfast was nice, pool area was a bit disappoining the pool looked like it needed cleaning. The day we left we didn't fly till late, check out was 12pm so we thought we can use the shower area in the gym but it was clean but there was no privacy. I would definitely advise you to try and keep the room on if you can but we were told there was a €35 charge. In hindsight I would have done this . Location was good and there's a lovely bar/ restaurant next door called Thomas's Jungle which was great excellent food at great prices and a really nice atmosphere.

DO NOT STAT HERE. I have no idea how anyone rates this hotel higher than a 1? What an awful, run-down, poor excuse for a "Chic Hotel" which is what they claim to call themselves. You have been warned, if you book this hotel you only have yourself to blame. Food bland, and the same every single day. Room dated and filthy, NOT what is shows on the photos. We were told we had the nest room in the hotel, then when we went to see 2 more, we were road this is the beat room in the hotel. Spike to a few people all wanting to change room, and they were all lied to by the extremely useless reception staff. The pool is filthy, the area is never cleaned, fag buts all over and bird poo just left there for hours on end. You won't see any staff after breakfast. I could go on about this hotel, but I am just going to put a huge complaint in when I get home (to which I can't wait). YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL

Don’t stay here. Here at the moment and we paid for two 1 bedroom apartments. Instead they have fobbed us off with two studio apartments and telling us they are 1 bedroom apartments. It’s not what we paid for. Breakfast is terrible and the place just looks like it needs a complete overhaul.
