The entrance to the hotel is grand, we were here just before the busy season starts so it was pretty quiet at first. When booking we had upgraded to a side sea view room. The room was clean, not very big & the balcony wasn’t large but for the 2 of us it was fine. The staff were mainly very good, especially Marina who was in the breakfast area & welcomes us very enthusiastically & the main bar person (don’t know his name). Their staff levels weren’t high but that was maybe based on it still being off-season. The buffet for evening meals wasn’t great for vegetarians, but the fries and Greek salad I got via room service was outstanding. The cleanliness was very good, we noticed this even in the stairwells. Good location and in a quiet part of Pathos. Bus stop 1 minute from hotel & value for money with a day pass was great.

Just come back from a week long stay at this hotel.. Here are my pros and cons: Pros The reception/foyer is beautiful and is kept in pristine condition. The swimming pool has ocean views. We were just sad that we weren't able to get in because it was out of season and therefo cold. The breakfast buffet was perfect, with so much variety, from pastries, to fruit and cheese to fried breakfasts and cereal. Lots of drinks too. Large dining area and apart from the bank Holiday, we never struggled to find a table. Free parking if you wanted to hire a car. UK plug sockets in room instead of European. Lots of storage space in room. Shower had immense power for 1.50 euro each way (or 5 euros which enables you to jump on and off any buses all day). The impressive reception area doesn't quite match the quality of the bedrooms. They were basic and fairly dated, although clean. Bathrooms are small with not a great deal of storage. The neckter bar was nice if you couldn't be bothered to venture out on an evening, but it was fairly small in there, and a few of the tables seated 4+ people which took up a lot of room. I can imagine this to be heaving once the season kicks in. The walls are super thin. On our 1st night, I thought it was breakfast time because I was woken by several people coming and going, talking, letting their hotel doors slam shut, dropping things etc. Turned out it was only 4am and they were quite clearly just disrespectful. Regardless of this, you could hear conversations next door etc if you were sat in silence. We paid extra for a 'side sea view' and was a little worried about how bad this view would be, but I was pleased with the room I got (see photos). The spa I thought was quite shabby. My husband went in the indoor pool a couple of times whilst I sat round the outside and read. The pumps in the jacuzzi area were rarely on, and the water was tepid. Most of the chairs around the poolside were beanbag style and they had mould on them. That matei obviously doesn't work where water and condensation are involved. There was a little couch and lamp area as you came in that I'm guessing is meant for quiet time, and to offer some sort of sanctuary. After squeezing myself through the hole, I went and sat down and realised my view was of the wall of the staircase. I got up and had a damp arse, and realised people had been sat on this fabric couch with wet swimming costumes/shorts on. Also, this isn't the hotels fault but on one of the occasions, we were joined by a father and his 2 very noisy children, so it went from a peaceful place of me reading my book, to 2 kids jumping in doing water bombs and me getting soaked and having to move chairs. They became that loud that we ended up leaving. It just spoilt the atmosphere of what's meant to be a relaxing place. All in all, although I liked this hotel, location wise, I'd move a bit closer in.

Having a lovely time at the Aquamare. The hotel and staff are all lovely, especially Marina who makes the best Pina colada you have ever tasted. The weather started off lovely but has gone a little cold today. Would definitely visit this hotel again.

Beautiful hotel. Impressive sea views. However easy access for anyone to enter hotel from coastal path. A suspicious man entering the indoor swimming pool area on a daily basis sitting watching with his phone and getting changed behind the bushes. BE VERY CAREFUL with your children as there is a couple of exits for children to be taken directly to coastal path as there is a lot of waste land. The cleaners are friendly. The receptionist very unfriendly, unhelpful and curt. Food very nice. Breakfast delicious and varied and evening meal very nice. However advised thst it was all inclusive but had to pay for water and stopped before leaving dining area to ensure drinks were paid for. I had to pay an extra 50 euros to stay in the room til 8pm due to late night flight which we were not made aware of this when booking the trip. Keep your eyes on your children at all times. Don't think your children are safe going to the toilet on their own. Don't trust no one
