Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
The Paphiessa Hotel is often commended for its prime location, within walking distance to Paphos old town and the harbour. Guests appreciate the hotel's cleanliness and the welcoming atmosphere fostered by the friendly staff. However, some guests feel the hotel lacks vibrancy, particularly in the bar area, and service can be hit or miss. While the amenities like the pool are clean, reports of outdated facilities and the need for refurbishment are common. Moreover, many travelers question the hotel's value, criticizing the food quality and room conditions.

Came to this hotel again after my last visit. This is the perfect stay for a good and cheap value of money! Since last year the hotel upgraded the rooms! Not to mention that the hotel has a very good and friendly team which made my holiday even better. I rebooked this hotel because of its people and because its a good choice for its price. Its nice to share our nice experience too!

The Paphiessa is the friendliest hotel we have ever been. All the staff was excellent and very professional. We have enjoyed every minute of our stay. The price we paid for our holiday for the service we received and with these all facilities provided was amazing. Regards to the whole team! See you next April

First thing is to say Staff are friendly and helpful they need to be as reception is unmanned in the evenings. Hotel description says there is Wi-Fi in all rooms it is only available in the restaurantar area. Hotel needs a deep clean in all areas. There are no phones or hairdryer in the rooms. You have to request a basic hairdryer at reception. The restaurant serves the same poor quality food day in and day out - three weeks of poor food and poor cleanliness in the restaurant table cloths not changed and ants on the floor where dropped food has not been cleaned up. Tinned veg and fruit. You can order from another menu (but this is a well keep secret) but is limited to Pizza, jacket potatoes and toastie or salad. Smoking is allowed in the bar. Bathroom was not cleaned in 3 weeks, no shower or bath mats unless requested. Holiday rep has received many complaints and has to defend the brochure description. Finally hotel is on a noisy main road and my room was like a cooker every day and air conditioning was almost non existent.

I stayed solo as a base for spending time with my daughter and her friend who were in a town centre apartment. I found it an ideal budget hotel with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Some people have complained about its proximity to the main road but I actually found it was an advantage to be away from the central area with its bars and loud music and was not disturbed by the traffic. I enjoyed my walks down to the port. I’m a keen swimmer and swam there most mornings and in the pool in the afternoons. My room overlooked the lovely pool and the poolside Wi-Fi worked on my balcony. I wouldn’t really rate the food and better tea and coffee would be good but all in all I had a great time and would definitely stay there again.

Hotel isn't very clean. There are cockroaches everywhere. I found few cockroaches in the toilet near the pool, in my room was few cockroaches too, one was very big and i was very scared. It was disgusting. At first i tought that hotel isn't bad but i saw this...I think it is not clean...However it is not expensive...

You get what you pay for. The hotel in itself could use a complete overhaul, the rooms are basic and need a little tlc. Wifi poor in hotel rooms, food was bssic but i was only up for breakfast once. Covid and the lack of income coming in still has a lot to answer for. However, the hotel was in a perfect location, Nicos, Jamie and the boys on the bar were an absolute pleasure, pool was nice and clean, plenty of sun loungers. Will certainly be staying again, I wasn't in the room long enough for things to cause issues. See you all again soon.

The worst place we have ever stayed. We knew it was a budget hotel on booking but this place takes the biscuit!!!! Filthy avoid at all costs!!! Didn’t clean our room once the whole time we was there. The maids came in made your bed and took away your carrier bag of rubbish as we didn’t even have a bin!!!

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. The rooms were very clean. The price was amazing. There were great restaurants within 10 minutes walking distance, as well as a lovely-sized pool. We would definitely stay there again.

unless you are looking for a 1* hotel do not book this place! Not even a 2* Thought the Cypriots loved coffee? Not here! Cheapest instant on the planet. Rooms are below basic. Dated, dusty and could do with a complete makeover. Went AI but what a joke, don’t take kids. Food is blergh and if you’re fool enough to book AI you’ll get drunk and eat it with beer goggles 🤣🤣 Complained to Mercury holidays that we wanted to move and they couldn’t even do that as hotel would not refund any of the booking costs.. even if we checked out! Cockroachs😩 pool area filthy even though we saw it being cleaned daily, sun loungers broken and dirty. Wifi! What wifi!! Every person we spoke to had the same issues. Hasn’t put me off returning to this beautiful island. 0/10 from us. Please look at our traveller pics
