This hotel is very unique in its design but all that has been said already. Staff were friendly and helpful during our visit and the buffet breakfast was good with a decent choice. Too cold for the pool unfortunately , probably needs to be a month later in the year for that. Hotel is very well located for exploring Paphos Harbour and town, lying between the two. My only real gripes were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room and a light on the balcony wouldn’t go amiss. Otherwise an excellent stay
I was pleasantly surprised with this one of a kind hotel. To say this hotel is unique is an understatement. The hotel is embellished with Greek and Roman murals. Some are hard to explain to young children! LOL! The service is very good, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast is excellent. The location is ground zero for all endeavors. Since we had our one year old daughter with us, they were really considerate by bringing us a play pin and giving us a huge room for my family. I recommend this hotel highly.
We booked 3 double bedrooms for 1 week. Our room was next door to other family members but we paid 80€ more than they had, when we questioned this at reception we were told that our room was bigger. I really don't think so as their room was on the end of the row and also because we had dressing gowns not 80€ worth! The rooms were clean and breakfast ok. I found the bed really hard so didn't sleep so well. But most of all and the reason I won't be staying here again is because of the poor caged Parrots in the reception area. Why?? One was obviously very depressed as it had pulled out it's feathers, I found this abhorent.
Some of the reviews here crack me up! Did people not look at the photographs before booking?? I booked the hotel via On The Beach - it was cheap and cheerful and had mainly decent reviews. I though the decor was insanely OTT and the rooms looked spacious which appealed to me. Myself and my partner absolutely loved it! Everything about the hotel from the exterior complete with giant centurion statues and urns to the completely nuts decor inside (furry leopard print walls and mirrors everywhere) was hilarious. The room was very large for the price with an enormous bed. Wifi throughout the complex, a balcony and a fridge, plenty of wardrobe space and a decent shower. The staff were friendly and engaging. The breakfast was great - I'm a vegetarian and found plenty to eat. Cereals, gorgeous Greek yoghurt, fruit salad, chunks of pomegranate, the interestingly named 'vegetable casserole' which was actually a fritatta affair of eggs, veg and cheese (delicious!), baked beans, mushrooms, crepes (labelled German pancakes), a selection of cakes (randomly labelled 'Geography Cake) continental selection of cold meats and cheese, toast, rolls etc in addition to bacon, sausages and fried eggs. Really can't understand what more folk would want, especially in a budget 3 star hotel?? The bar at the pool was reasonably priced and came with friendly local cats which made me very happy. The daily housekeeping was of a high standard. The hotel was brilliantly situated and within walking distance of the archaeological park, Tomb of the Kings, harbour and other attractions. We'd have no hesitation in staying there again!…
Was a bit taken back when I saw the decor but quirky once you get used to it, my room is cleaned every day and spotless, the staff are polite and very nice and helpful, there is a great choice for breakfast and good quality food!! I would definitely stay here again!!
