Although only 3*, this hotel/set of apartments are superb! We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment which was well stocked with everything you would need; very spacious and beautifully clean. The maid service is brilliant, towels and bedding changed very regularly. The pool temperature is perfect and the area around the pool very clean with plenty of sunbeds. The garden area is pretty and again, well stocked with sunbeds. The hotel is situated on the main road with the 615 bus going to Coral Bay (15mins) in one direction and Paphos Harbour (15mins) in the other. There are tavernas and other restaurants within easy walking distance. The only downside is that the hotel doesn’t have its own beach but the closest one is only 5mins away with sunbeds and umbrellas to hire for €7.50 a day. A Lidl (2 bus stops away) supplies everything you need food-wise and there’s a convenience store just outside the hotel. There are lots of opportunities for excursions - a great way to explore the island.

Stayed here as part of a Jet 2 package. We had a great 2 bed apartment just across the road from the main building. Lots of outside space and a pool shared with two other apartments, which in the main were vacant. All staff exceptionally helpful and friendly. Spotlessly clean.

Nice hotel with breathtaking view. The rooms were spacious, clean and tidy. The bed and the sofas are comfortable to sleep and sit on which is a plus for us. We had a baby and they were helpful to provide us with a baby cot and a high chair. The swimming pool is clean and suitable for swimming and the children's pool is very nice. The garden is amazing with lots of trees and grass to play. The beach in front of the hotel was ideal for building suncastles and playing but was wavy for swimming. There are other beaches nearby if you want a family friendly beach. The staff was helpful, friendly and understanding especially Mr Loukas who helped us with our stay even though we booked late. The breakfast is decent, minimum choices but changed everyday so not repetitive. Highly recommend. We will definitely come again! Thank you for the wonderful stay.

An intimate, welcoming hotel. Cool located. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, however, there is a bus stop in front of the hotel. You can easily get to both the center of Paphos and Coral Bay. Rooms large, clean, cleaned every day. Linen changed every few days. Towels changed daily. Staff nice, helpful. Several people speak Polish. Surroundings clean and tidy. A clean sandy beach nearby. Stony entrance to the sea. Walking promenade. Restaurant on site. We did not use the meals, so I do not judge. I recommend this place!

This was our first time in Paphos and as we went 9 of us, it was difficult to find a proper apt hotel. After emailing back and forth with this hotel, we decided on them. We got exactly what we expected: Hotel with sandy beach and pool. Although the beach itself is wavy and far from ideal for swimming, it is great for building sand castles and running around with kids. The kid-friendly beach is only 8-10 min by bus. We liked the leisure facilities (pool table, volleyball, garden) and the amazing view and as a runner, the promenade along the beach made my running spectacular. The staff of the hotel is superb and always available for any questions. The rooms are spacious and has everything we need. Everyday cleaning adds up to the comfort level

This was our first visit to Cyprus and we could not have chosen a better place to stay in. The rooms were just like the pictures online. Nicos was very helpful helping me decide which room to book. Definitely sea view is the best! Nicos and his wonderful team work very hard. We will definitely be returning to Helios bay hotel again. May I just say a big shout out to Ina who works very hard at the pool bar and made us feel very welcome. Thanks again Nicos Jenny, Paul and family

The Helios bay hotel is in a great location between paphos and Coral bay. The hotel gardens are beautiful with view’s from the pool area and gardens looking at the Mediterranean Sea, however there are a few things that could easily be made immensely better. There is no entertainment at any time night or day. Despite the previous Tripadvisor reviews that say there are. There are are no weekly barbecues at the hotel, despite this being advertised on the travel agent website and in the hotels information book. There is a bar in the pool area which has limited stock. For instance my wife wanted a strawberry daiquiri and they could not make it. Disappointed she settled for a pina colada which frankly was terrible. This bar also does snacks, toasties, etc. The staff are lovely and do try to help but everything appears to be running on a shoe string. There are no other eating areas or food available anywhere in the hotel. There is a bar at reception but again they have limited knowledge and stock, the barman didn’t know what a Baileys Irish cream was!!! This bar is staffed by the hotel receptionist. So if it’s busy with people checking in or out you can wait a long time for service. There are no lifts at the hotel, we were on the 3rd floor and arrived at 0100. There was no offer of assistance from anyone to cart the bags to our room. These are just a few examples of the little things that could easily be put right. I have tried to be as positive as possible when writing this review but there were just too many little things that were not up to what we expect from a holiday hotel anywhere in the world.

Helios Bay Hotel Apts was the ideal place for us to spend our two weeks holiday in Cyprus. We arrived around midnight and was welcomed by a very friendly member of staff. Our apartment was lovely, with everything we needed for the holiday. It had sea and mountain views. We found it had a very relaxing atmosphere with plenty of sun beds by the pool and restaurant and lovely sea views. What we noticed was how well the gardens were kept and how clean the place was. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There were some good restaurants nearby, (our favorite was the New Horizon) and the 615 bus stop is just outside the hotel. We shopped at Lidl which is about 4 or 5 stops away and Papantoniou which you need a car to get to. The nearest beach which is to the right of the hotel is not suitable for swimming in my opinion as it has too many rocks and strong waves, mainly used by surfers. It seems a lot of work is taking place along this coast to create lagoons. Amos beach near St Georges hotel has a lovely beach with fun waves. Make sure you press the stop button on the bus in time as he may go flying past the hotel as it happened to us one day.

We upgraded after emailing regarding having a villa , we treated ourselves and paid the difference of €385 on arrival … late night check in was good , showed us to the villa … wasn’t until the next day we saw the beautiful garden ! Noisy neighbours who thought let’s shout to each other , overlooked by 12 apartments and a brick wall it was like being in a zoo . The lady at the bar/food place never smiled even trying to get a Thankyou was tough , in the end we hired a car and went out daily as there really isn’t much around the place , yes you can jump on a bus for €1.50 but we thought we may get the chilled holiday we so needed … on a plus brilliant cleaner Yolanda an absolute gem .

Our second stay at this outstanding hotel, the only place we have ever returned too so that says it all really! We last visited in August 2016 and enjoyed this time as much as the last. I had made contact with Nicos the hotel manager prior to our visit to request one of the sea view rooms but as none were available Nicos instead gave us one of the recently renovated 1 bedroom apartments (room number 314) which was fantastic, clean and modern and plenty of room for the 4 of us. The air conditioning was great and we had a decent side sea view off the small balcony. The room contained a fridge with a small freezer compartment, a toaster, microwave, oven and 2 ring hob and a range of cutlery and utensils. Some other info about the hotel: the room safe costs €8.50 for the week, they sell packs of 6 bottles of water for €4, there are 2 table tennis tables and a pool table around the reception area, there is a courtesy room to shower and change in if required, the gym is OK, good selection of weights but the cardio equipment is very dated. The pool and pool area is great and well maintained with plenty of beds and parasols. The snack bar has an excellent range of food and drinks at very reasonable prices. I didn’t try the breakfast on offer which was €6.50 per person but there seemed to be plenty of people there every morning. The local buses are an excellent way of getting around and run frequently past the hotel, note that you need a mask to get on and the drivers are strict in enforcing this! Thank you to Nicos and his great team of employees for making our second stay so enjoyable, we hope to visit again soon.
