Brochure stated 'beach front' and from the photos it did look like this hotel was on the beach, well it was of sorts, a small man-made area but the sea was a fairly deep drop, and not accessible to people with mobility problems. The hotel and rooms were nice but 200 rooms had been let to Russian business delegates which... More

We went to the Azia in September and to say we were impressed would be an understatement. The room was spacious, the food delicious with a wide array of choice, and the grounds are beautiful. A great hotel, in a great location.

We booked a week at Azia Resort & Spa... Unfortunately we arrived before the rooms were available, so we had to wait, wait, wait and wait. (1h30) For those who had half board, did receive a welcome drink (small glass of soft drink). The others could have their lunch at the restaurant. The welcome was not that warm. The person... More

Our stay in the Azia hotel was quite perfect: nice rooms (large, well equipped and lovely designed), the food was good (a lot of different plates, good quality) and the personnel was very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself has everything for a relaxing holiday: swimming pool, gym and nice terrace, with good cocktails. The only point that could be... More

My partner and I stayed here only last week. We were a bit anxious with all the poor reviews we had read about food and service being poor but we were so amazed at how wrong these reviews were. We really did have an amazing time. The rooms were clean and tidy, room service was twice a day (at least).... More

Just returned from a 10 nights stay in September. I had read quite a few mixed reviews on here before I left, so was ‘open minded what to expect’. The good points far out way the not so good points from my experience. Firstly, I found no shortage of sunbeds. They were always plentiful at any time of day, and... More

The hotel and the stuff are calm and very pleasant on September (not sure about July and August where all the family vacations are) . We arrived before 14:00 and we were warmly welcomed to use the hotel facilities (got the rooms after 14:00).

Fantastic place. Just spent a week here and cannot fault it! Staff are friendly and very helpful. It's beautifully clean and housekeeping is excellent. It has air conditioning at no extra cost. The pool is accessible for people with mobility problems. Food is good remembering it is local food and not intended to be as hot as we usually like... More

So glad even a "rabble of Americans" can enjoy this fine all-inclusive resort. There were minor issues, like some guests not realizing this was a family resort (they make me embarrassed to be an adult), but otherwise the staff was very helpful, especially the woman running the buffet. She should be running the resort.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A small hotel may have all the charm in the world, yet what the discerning guest will sometimes miss is the variety of experience to make the holiday an unforgettable pleasure. This is the thinking behind the concept of the Azia Resort, a foray into sophisticated escapism that offers stylish barefoot living, understated luxury and casual unobtrusive service. Built as three sections, with plethora of magnificent spaces for carefree living, the Azia Resort has all the diversity to keep its guests contented for a week or longer. Each element of the three-in-one boutique hotel concept has its own character and fulfills different aspirations of the visitor. The Azia Blue is about sophisticated, spacious living and family luxury. The Azia Club and Spa is ideal for privacy and indulgence. The Residence is a haven of individual pampering and innovative style. The Azia Resort is situated a few kilometres from Paphos centre and is privileged to share close proximity to the finest locations and treasures of the island. One of the few resorts with a west-facing outlook, the Azia provides guests with a sublime view of blazing indescribable sunsets. The sophisticated design of the hotel owes as much to edgy London design as to local influences. The result an atmosphere that is sensuous yet earthy, shaped by the whole history of Cyprus and by the natural beauty of the island. The nature is suggested, for instance, by such details as the use of flower and leaf motifs carved on wood and stone as well as by the profusion of indoor and outdoor plantings. The history is present in a slick, fusion manner combining very earthy and artistic elements. Each area is influenced by a different chapter of the Cyprus history. Venetian Murano glass, hand painted silk and gold leaf decoration of the main dining room represent the impact of the Venetian Republic on the history of the island, while the main lobby has the airiness suggestive of the open spaces of the agora of ancient Greece. There the pebble, the marble, the greenery and the abundance of light combine perfectly with loungy loveseats and design furniture. The staircase banister looks like seaweeds moving with the waves and the piano lobby bar is a beautiful reminder of the colonial influence. The main bar, in deep sensuous colours, with finely carved wood lace on the walls and hand-wrought iron lamp structures, captures the fusion of Arab cultures on the island. The sybaritic Asphodel Spa is a hymn to nature, intriguing to the senses yet calming to the mind. The sound of falling water, the fine incense of ouzo and anise, the breeze in the garden treatment rooms, the rich natural textures; these and a variety of treatments offering different experiences have been deployed in its design to awake all the senses and sooth the body and mind. This is one of the best spas in the world, a space that can keep the visitor content day after day. The symbol of the hotel is the Asphodel, the immortal flower in the ancient Greek mythology. According to the ancient Greeks, it stands for the ultimate happiness of the soul and was the first sight a soul longed to see at the gates of paradise. Asphodel still grows in abundance wild on the island. ... more   less
