We arrived home from the Azia today :( Had an amazing week here! Hotel was faultless, and the service we received was exceptional. For all the people complaining about loungers by the pool you get the same everywhere, get over it! We arrived at the hotel at 2ish in the morning was given our cards ad sent to our room... More

We booked a family holiday for two weeks here, and it was the best holiday we've ever had. Absolutely superb. I have wonderful memories that will stay with me always. Facilities were generally first class. The food was delicious, although the deserts should be varied a little more frequently, with more ice cream. The evening eating area was in a... More

Facilities were fine though hotel was clearly booked to bursting. Had to have a towel on lounger by 0800 if you wanted to secure one as clearly not enough for all guests. When I asked for an iron, I had to argue for 40 minutes to get access to one and was informed that a 5 *hotel guest would use... More

Booked this hotel for our two week summer holiday with our 2 year old toddler and to celebrate my partner's 40th birthday. For the money paid I was expecting 5* luxury as the website deceivingly offers!! However this unfortunately was not the case. I'm not a holiday * star snob and am therefore reviewing this 3* (in our eyes) hotel... More

I shall start with a positive, we arrived at the hotel welcomed with a nice cold drink which was more than needed in the hot weather our room was lovely and clean and beds were comfy, we were there on our honeymoon and walking through the lobby all we would hear is people complaining but our experiences is all I... stopped here for a week in july. the hotel is spotless. you have to be extremely fussy not to like the food. there is plenty of it and a good choice. all staff were warm and friendly and worked very hard to make our holiday one to remember. we stopped in a jacuzzi room and I can honestly say it... This is an interesting one, the welcome was great, the room was great, very comfortable with nice extras such as bathrobes and tea making facilities. The hotel is spotless and the staff are, one the whole, excellent. The holiday began well and then the families arrived, although there are designated "adults only" areas, these were not policed and breakfast and... More

We are just back from a 10 day stay at Hotel Azia and what a trip it was! First and foremost this was a lovely hotel but some aspects of it proved very poor for a 5* hotel. We were given a room mountain facing when we arrived (12:30 am) when we had booked a sea view, after talking to... More

Hotel in general was ok. Pool was too hot, 29 deg. Tired looking. Sunbed wars were ridiculous with towels being left on them overnight and there are only about 100 around the pool with more under the trees on a grassy area with no real steps up to the pool. Bit of an afterthought. Food repetitive even on theme nights.... More

When we arrived i was a little disappointed as it looked a bit old and tired, we went to our room and unpacked, the wardrobe door did not open properly and there was only 1 plug socket in the room, so take a 3 way adapter, we had to buy one!! We then went for a wander and sat by... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A small hotel may have all the charm in the world, yet what the discerning guest will sometimes miss is the variety of experience to make the holiday an unforgettable pleasure. This is the thinking behind the concept of the Azia Resort, a foray into sophisticated escapism that offers stylish barefoot living, understated luxury and casual unobtrusive service. Built as three sections, with plethora of magnificent spaces for carefree living, the Azia Resort has all the diversity to keep its guests contented for a week or longer. Each element of the three-in-one boutique hotel concept has its own character and fulfills different aspirations of the visitor. The Azia Blue is about sophisticated, spacious living and family luxury. The Azia Club and Spa is ideal for privacy and indulgence. The Residence is a haven of individual pampering and innovative style. The Azia Resort is situated a few kilometres from Paphos centre and is privileged to share close proximity to the finest locations and treasures of the island. One of the few resorts with a west-facing outlook, the Azia provides guests with a sublime view of blazing indescribable sunsets. The sophisticated design of the hotel owes as much to edgy London design as to local influences. The result an atmosphere that is sensuous yet earthy, shaped by the whole history of Cyprus and by the natural beauty of the island. The nature is suggested, for instance, by such details as the use of flower and leaf motifs carved on wood and stone as well as by the profusion of indoor and outdoor plantings. The history is present in a slick, fusion manner combining very earthy and artistic elements. Each area is influenced by a different chapter of the Cyprus history. Venetian Murano glass, hand painted silk and gold leaf decoration of the main dining room represent the impact of the Venetian Republic on the history of the island, while the main lobby has the airiness suggestive of the open spaces of the agora of ancient Greece. There the pebble, the marble, the greenery and the abundance of light combine perfectly with loungy loveseats and design furniture. The staircase banister looks like seaweeds moving with the waves and the piano lobby bar is a beautiful reminder of the colonial influence. The main bar, in deep sensuous colours, with finely carved wood lace on the walls and hand-wrought iron lamp structures, captures the fusion of Arab cultures on the island. The sybaritic Asphodel Spa is a hymn to nature, intriguing to the senses yet calming to the mind. The sound of falling water, the fine incense of ouzo and anise, the breeze in the garden treatment rooms, the rich natural textures; these and a variety of treatments offering different experiences have been deployed in its design to awake all the senses and sooth the body and mind. This is one of the best spas in the world, a space that can keep the visitor content day after day. The symbol of the hotel is the Asphodel, the immortal flower in the ancient Greek mythology. According to the ancient Greeks, it stands for the ultimate happiness of the soul and was the first sight a soul longed to see at the gates of paradise. Asphodel still grows in abundance wild on the island. ... more   less
