From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome by the friendly reception staff of the amazing Azia Resort & Spa. Our bags were carried to our room on the 3rd floor by Paul, a very helpful porter. Our room was spacious and we were very pleased to find a Jacuzzi on our balcony which we used regularly... More

I agree with many of the other reviews, perfectly adequate hotel but nowhere near five star, probably a three star. My bench mark in Cyprus would be the old Intercontinental hotel at Aphrodite Hills which I probably would give five stars. At the Azia Rooms are ok, concrete or tile floors (including corridors) make them very noisy and the fittings... More

Very far from 5star, 3 at best and that is being generous, food good but only a week rotation and it starts again, same with entertainment weekly rotation and very poor, Lady GaGa and Michael Jackson singers, miming to cd tracks. The best show was midweek when the Dj standing on broken glass and put his head on tacks and a... More

I'll go through it in sections: Room: had a premium adult room. complimentary wine and fruit, nice balcony, big tv and enough storage space. However there was a leak in the ceiling, but that got fixed. Could hear the neighbour's baby, but tbh that wasn't a problem. My bf's sibilings' however...the hotel was overbooked so they gave them a standard... More

We have just returned from the Azia and had a good time. The staff were very friendly, and could speak both Greek and English, as well as some staff who could speak other languages. The rooms were nice and clean, with a lovely sea view (if you get that room) and was very spacious. Breakfast had a wide range of... More

Absolutely no way this is a 5 star hotel! Room was not ready on arrival, however it is the busiest time of the year. Food at the buffet was average to poor. Not 5 star quality. Pool was dirty most of the time, people smoking in the pool was disgusting, staff were not concerned. No games room to keep the... More

We went to Azia Hotel for 3 nights, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised! The rooms are newly refurbished, we nice summery concept. the gardens are great and you can choose wherever you prefer to enjoy yr day. The buffet dinner needs improvement though!! (not a five star quality). Nice summer place to relax with no extra luxury

The Azia Resport & Spa is no 5* hotel (even no 4 star hotel) at all... Reason why: - rooms were not ready at arrival, we had to wait 2hours and a half before we could have access to our room...only a part of the guests who arrived received a free drink at the reception desk...luggage could not be stored... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A small hotel may have all the charm in the world, yet what the discerning guest will sometimes miss is the variety of experience to make the holiday an unforgettable pleasure. This is the thinking behind the concept of the Azia Resort, a foray into sophisticated escapism that offers stylish barefoot living, understated luxury and casual unobtrusive service. Built as three sections, with plethora of magnificent spaces for carefree living, the Azia Resort has all the diversity to keep its guests contented for a week or longer. Each element of the three-in-one boutique hotel concept has its own character and fulfills different aspirations of the visitor. The Azia Blue is about sophisticated, spacious living and family luxury. The Azia Club and Spa is ideal for privacy and indulgence. The Residence is a haven of individual pampering and innovative style. The Azia Resort is situated a few kilometres from Paphos centre and is privileged to share close proximity to the finest locations and treasures of the island. One of the few resorts with a west-facing outlook, the Azia provides guests with a sublime view of blazing indescribable sunsets. The sophisticated design of the hotel owes as much to edgy London design as to local influences. The result an atmosphere that is sensuous yet earthy, shaped by the whole history of Cyprus and by the natural beauty of the island. The nature is suggested, for instance, by such details as the use of flower and leaf motifs carved on wood and stone as well as by the profusion of indoor and outdoor plantings. The history is present in a slick, fusion manner combining very earthy and artistic elements. Each area is influenced by a different chapter of the Cyprus history. Venetian Murano glass, hand painted silk and gold leaf decoration of the main dining room represent the impact of the Venetian Republic on the history of the island, while the main lobby has the airiness suggestive of the open spaces of the agora of ancient Greece. There the pebble, the marble, the greenery and the abundance of light combine perfectly with loungy loveseats and design furniture. The staircase banister looks like seaweeds moving with the waves and the piano lobby bar is a beautiful reminder of the colonial influence. The main bar, in deep sensuous colours, with finely carved wood lace on the walls and hand-wrought iron lamp structures, captures the fusion of Arab cultures on the island. The sybaritic Asphodel Spa is a hymn to nature, intriguing to the senses yet calming to the mind. The sound of falling water, the fine incense of ouzo and anise, the breeze in the garden treatment rooms, the rich natural textures; these and a variety of treatments offering different experiences have been deployed in its design to awake all the senses and sooth the body and mind. This is one of the best spas in the world, a space that can keep the visitor content day after day. The symbol of the hotel is the Asphodel, the immortal flower in the ancient Greek mythology. According to the ancient Greeks, it stands for the ultimate happiness of the soul and was the first sight a soul longed to see at the gates of paradise. Asphodel still grows in abundance wild on the island. ... more   less
