Hotel closed to tourists but they still allow you to book and take your money and drop you off there to be told that they are moving you to another hotel! No choice in hotels! It has been taken over by underage asylum seekers and there are police there 24/7 keeping watch. Absolutely disgusting first experience of Cyprus .. luckily we had an amazing time other than that!

New York Plaza Hotel Apartments Paphos Not Open To Tourists 835958533 Full of migrants that are all under 18 and very noisy. Police out the front and back 24 hrs a day. Apparently they are here for 3 months! Guessing the hotel are getting more money from the government than holiday makers. Check before travelling here, tour companies should know its closed to the public and move you. People are turning up for their booked holidays and being sent elsewhere with no forwarding.

On arrival we were met on the pavement as our transfer disappeared over the horizon - to be told our hotel had just been commandeered for refugees and that alternative accreditation had been arranged for us, this was without On the Beaches knowledge the hotel we were sent to was the Maricas Boutique Hotel - not a very nice place please see separate review. All I can say is that I hope the refugees enjoy their stay at our holiday location as I can tell you it was most definitely at our expense until the local OTB rep could get us moved! If I were you I would avoid booking at either hotel!

Its clean. Large rooms, but old furniture from a past time. Here and there the renovation could be needed. However, Everything works except of WiFi and there is sometimes a problem with hot water. The room was warm in February. The kitchen is the minimum equipment for cooking. I was satisfied. My studio had 2 balconies from both sites of building. Nice service and good location in Paphos.

Oh god, where do I even start? The only nice thing I have to say about this place is: the staff were rather friendly to us. Everything else is, quite honestly, a mess. The rooms are so incredibly outdated that I am absolutely positive no one has ever reinvested a single cent into this hotel. Bedrooms are huge, in fact they are more like apartments but what is more impressive is how dirty and unkempt they are. The thin, cracked, yellow stained toilet seat in our room looked like it was about to disintegrate into thin air from decades of use. The bathtub had some white stains on it and our bathroom in general, looked nothing like the photos shown on Booking. There was never any hot water in the evening, only in the morning. Beds were squeeky and uncomfortable. The heater in the bedroom was broken and couldn't even be switched on. The sheets looked clean but I found somone's hair in them when we arrived so I am not positive they have been changed from the previous guest. There is a yellow stained bedspread thrown over your bed when you arrive. There is a couple of blankets in the closet that look about a thousand years old and are of dubious level of cleanliness. There are exactly two glasses for you to drink out of in the entire kitchen and they don't even match. Very spare cutlery and pots but it doesn't matter really as the kitchen was so dirty and full of crumbs and stains we wouldn't dare use it anyway. The whole place has a stale, weird smell that hits you from the moment you open the door. We paid very little for this stay but it was still below our lowest expectations.

Despite the fancy name, the hotel isn’t like that at all. It’s old, worn out, and not very clean. + the breakfast was okay, the linens were very white and clean, and the rooms are big. Well, those are more like apartments. Ours had 3 rooms, the bathroom and the kitchen. - the furniture is old, the WIFI works only at the reception, the AC from 80’s costs additionally €5/day, cockroaches - I saw a huge one at the kitchen once. So what I can say, that this option makes sense only for a short stay (not more than 2 nights). On the other hand, for the same money you can do better in the Upper Town

Not a bad place to stay at all, Sam the Supervisor and Mathew the Chef were both friendly and very helpful, the food when Matthew cooked was better than the other days. Despite being told by our travel provider the hotel does not have rooms/apartments on the ground floor that are suitable for those travellers who are disabled that was wrong, when we spoke to Sam the Supervisor we were told that there are two disabled apartments (401 & 402), we were originally allocated apt 207 which was up two staircases, but after being told that there was a ground floor appt with a walk in shower we were allowed swap (arranged by Sam). Sam we can not thank you enough. I have to admit I was initially put off by some of the reviews but, the apartments are clean, comfortable and fit for purpose. If you want 5 star stay elsewhere but if you are happy to be down to earth then this hotel/apartment complex will meet your every need. Nothing is too much trouble for the team. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Stayed at these Apartments between the 27th Nov to 4th Dec. Staff were very friendly and efficient ,the room we got was one bedroomed but living area very large. The Plaza has got some age to it but it was spotless .I only booked the B&B package and breakfast had two choices and that was full fry or continental and all the tea, coffee, and juices you could drink .Also I may that it is in a very handy location with shops and taverna's all around .The main town Paphos is only a 15 min walk away. Alex in Edinburgh.
