Lyhnos, in Askas, emerged when nature, tradition and luxury came together to offer unique taste and hospitality. The four guest rooms are ideal to relax, to unwind, to indulge, to dream... All the days... All seasons...

Staying at Lyhnos is an absolute must for nature and tranquillity lovers, but also for people who pay attention in cosiness and elegance. The place is located in the picturesque, tiny village of Askas, a hidden gem in Cyprus mountains, offering a great opportunity for discovering tradition, local life and natural beauty. We therefore had the chance to visit nearby villages (rich in history and culture), walk through formed nature trails and relax far away from our noicy routine. Our room, eventhough of traditional character, was very elegant, with pieces of art all over, and at the same time cosy and comfortable. We really appreciated the huge bed, the jacuzzi, the espresso machine, the fully equipped fireplace and of course the balcony with stunning views of the mountains. Fresh and delicious breakfast was served at the lovely restaurant of the hotel, while for dinner there was a small tavern just a few steps away. We 've already decided that we are coming back in spring time, to offer our selves a peaceful time amongst burgeoning almond trees!

We stayed one night to this cozy place and we have enjoy it very much! The staff was very friendly and welcome. The room we booked it was named "Dihoro". Very clean, big and nice decorated. The jets of jacuzzi was very poor but relaxing🙂. The bed was very hard for me but i slept well except of back pain on the morning 🙃. We like very much the Village Askas and for sure i recommend it for everybody who wants peace and relaxing!

This place is a nice hideaway in the mountains. Located in a small mountain village and with only 4 or 5 rooms it is perfect if you search for a calm place. Our deluxe room has a nice terrace with Mountain View - especially nice in the morning with rising sun. The room is cozy and well equipped. Breakfast is rather basic but tasty and ok if you only stay a few days.

We stayed in the junior suite and it was a beautiful room with a panoramic view of the mountain. The reception was not operating but a very polite lady came to meet us and give us the key. Because we stayed midweek, there was nothing opened around. In the evening, only the cafe of Mary was opened and it didn’t have many options. But the owner was a very kind lady and did her best to please us . She even gave us glass wines as the room didn’t have any . Back in the room, wanted to try the jacuzzi but it was not working . The bed was not very stable and the pillows were too hard (without having any other option ) . The mattress was not a good quality as well. So we woke up all rusty . Breakfast was served in a beautiful area . It was quite poor (not a value for money ) . The waitress was very polite though.

Absolutely beautiful experience, you'll love this choice. I am from Nicosia so it took around 45 minutes to find Askas, the village right next to Palaichori where Lyhnos is located. It's not too far in after you get into the village. If you want the ultimate village experience where you clear your mind, this is it. From outside it's the typical stone house but once your inside everything is modern, thought through carefully and so very cosy. The Sofas and Beds are from Chateaux D'ax and Living so you know their quality, the shampoo samples are all Apivita (Natural products) even the toilet tissue is this soft Kleenex brand. But if you leave this everything is else is magical, the smell of wood fire, the handmade curtains, the shutters which you open only to find a veranda of clean air, wonderful mountain view and sunlight. It is clean, spacious and you will feel privacy. The breakfast was just wonderful - country bread homemade jams, mountain cheese homemade- Anari and Halloumi.Make sure you have lunch at the restaurant or even pay a visit only for that even if you are not staying overnight. The meze is spectacular - everything to satisfy both a meat eater and a veggie - tasty food sticking to tradition. The restaurant is right underneath the houses in a small cave like space where the cava is with all the wines you can think of. Nearby there are villages very close if you wish to go with your car. Just make sure you stay here rather than an actual hotel if your around the area since this place encaptures all the character of the place. Elena is such a nice host and so is Doros - they are both friendly and make you feel like you are a relative of theirs if you ever need anything. If you need to clear your mind at any time pay a visit and enjoy your stay (P.S you pay so much under then what they provide- the deal is very convenient)

A pretty, small (only 4 large rooms for rent) cypriot-boutique style place. Everything is sparkly clean (place opened just 2 months ago), great quality beds and bathrooms, perfect heating AND fireplace for those chilly evenings (the wood for the fireplace is charged an extra 10 euros). Very good own restaurant for meze (only open for lunch), and you can then retire to your fireplace with a wine from their cellar. The service is excellent by the owner himself and his staff. Not a very cheap place, but perfect for those willing to spend a few euros extra to visit the mountainside without worrying about cleanliness and heating.

An adorably renovated place tucked into a strangely quaint village... Cyprus mountainside meets Diagon Alley. Food, atmosphere and service at Lyhnos Tavern were all excellent. A walk around the stone built village is an excellent way to end a visit to Askas village.

Lyhnos is a top-class accommodation in an otherwise small and traditional village. It has 4 rooms and we stayed in 'Sanidoto' which has a big veranda with excellent view of the surrounding mountains. If you live in the city, you get the extra bonus of cool weather (we had to use blankets in the night, in the middle of July). The room is very comfortable and well decorated. You also get a nice bath with jacuzzi and even WiFi access. As we were staying there with two kids, we had to use the couch too, which was transformed into a very comfortable bed. The village itself is very beautiful, with small, stone roads and even a small creek with water (which is not so common in Cyprus). The streets could however, be a bit cleaner (the hotel itself was perfectly clean). The hotel owners were very helpful and accommodating and that's a big plus. Last, and very importantly, the breakfast was really top class. We ended up having lunch there too whenever possible (the restaurant serves lunch only on weekends).

We stayed four nights in the deluxe room of this nice and small Hotel. The room was very spacious, stylish, very well equipped and with an amazing Terrace where you can enjoy your coffee in the Morning while you watch the Sunrise over the beautiful landscape. The perfect start in the day. The breakfast was included and for a few days absolutley ok. Good coffee, fresh eggs, halloumi... etc. Some of the staff speaks only russian and no english. And they show us that the Russian guests are more welcome. She talked to them very loud during the breakfast - not very polite. But the younger women were also open minded to other guests. The village is very calm and traditional- very nice „Oldtown“ and a perfect start for a lots of hiking tours. Only a 30 Minute Drive away, amazing Hiking-Tours could be found, for example the Madari-Trail - amazing Tour!! In total we had a wonderful time in this place and the area around. We can recommended this accommodation!

We've visited Lihnos after deciding to have a small getaway from busy cities in Cyprus and it turned out to be probably the best day in here. Askas is a small sleepy town hidden in the mountains, unbelievably quiet...a perfect place to relax. You can see this hotel was built with loving care of its owner, paying attention to every little details to enrich your experience in here. We loved every minute of our stay in here and I hope to return back some day...Lihnos was just a wonderful hidden gem of Cyprus!
