9.5/10 fantastic experience!!

I traveled solo to the B&B in February 2024. Other than being slightly cold in the mornings (really not a problem), the surrounding area was fantastic. It's a small village, so if you like nature, beautiful hikes, very old Olive trees, and a taste of the local agriculture, this place is for you. There's a monestary on a mountain nearby and the hikes rival the popular ones in the Troodos Mountains.

The room itself was perfectly up to standards, with attention to detail in many places (the bathroom, the soap containers, the careful blocking-out of every window in the room to ensure 100% privacy, but still with translucent papers so as to not prevent natural light from flooding in the room during the day). I stayed in the "Alkoni" room, which even has heated floors!

Sara and Marula were very welcoming and warm in their hospitality, as well as precise in their organization. Marula offered us a fabulous cooking class in which we cooked Cypriot-style Ravioli, all the while indicating to use the key features that distinguish her recipe from the traditional Italian approach. She has wonderful stories from growing up on a farm in Pera.

Sara has a wealth of information about the surrounding area, as well as about Cyprus in general. It's clear that Sara has a genuine passion for food and travel herself. Her curiosity to research, in-depth, the history and biology of the places that interest her gives her an edge in providing great recommendations, background, and overall color to your stay.

Super nice accommodation with great hosts. You should definitely book the activities when they are offered. Collecting flowers and herbs and then eating them all was so exciting, even for a gardener. The area is also beautiful for hiking. Sara and Tassos are happy to give detailed tips and provide you with maps. If you don't have the pleasure of having an evening meal (really great for vegetarians), there are great taverns (for meat eaters) nearby (€25 for a mega meal with drinks)

We were family of 4 adults and booked 2 rooms unfortunately only for one night … if we knew how lovely and relaxing that would be we would stay for longer !
From the arrival to Aperanti Sara have welcomed us like at home !
The house is very traditional design and so beautiful, many flowers in the garden all growing so naturally,
Sara is even drying her herbs that in the evening give you beautiful scent… helps you to relax even more ..
She showed us our rooms and explained everything with details.
Our room was located on the first floor, and had amazing glass covered veranda ! Very clean and comfortable bathroom!
Personally I loved the bed cover that I was told was handmade by Tasos grandma’s! Beautiful , unique and so comfortable to sleep underneath!
After showing us the room we have sat downstairs in the garden for coffee , all together with owners (Sara and Tasos)
They told us so many things about the place, about their region. Lovely people that makes you feel welcome and they really care about their guests!
Next day in the morning Tasos mom welcomed us in the restaurant for delicious homemade breakfast! Of course we also had chat with her :) she is so lovely lady!
We had traditional pastry, halloumi cheese made by her , fresh tomatoes from the garden and homemade selection of delicious Jams that you can even buy !
We will definitely come back soon we can! And for next time we will come for longer to discover not only the region but also try more food that Sara and Tasos can offer :)
Ps - Sara is making best limoncello in the world! Make sure you buy some :)
Our stay was incredible, place is fantastic and most important the whole atmosphere is made by people that run that place !
Will strongly recommend this place!

A little heaven in a small, not so popular village. Very warm atmosphere, literally and metaphorically!
You can not see Tasos and Sarah's smile, because they wear masks, but you can see their eyes smile, you can feel it and hear it to their voice!
The dinner was absolutely perfect, with fresh materials, most of them, taken from their garden. It's so nice that they don't cook often meat, so a vegetarian can enjoy a really delicious meal!
The breakfast was simple and tasteful. Just as supposed to be.
Our room, Sgartili, was very clean, tidy, and warm!
In general, you feel the cypriot hospitality ti the top!
Thank you so much Taso and Sarah!!!

We were staying in Nicosia and came to Aperanti Agrotourism for a cheese-making workshop. Booking with Sara was super easy, and she gave us helpful directions for the bus (about 35 min by bus from central Nicosia). It was unusually cold in Nicosia when we were there, and Sara was nice enough to make us some tea when we arrived. The cheese-making workshop with Sara's partner's mother was FANTASTIC! She is Cypriot but went to a British school, so the workshop was entirely in English. She taught us how to make halloumi and anari (similar to ricotta). We learned every step of how halloumi and anari were made, and then we ate them. Sara served us both cheeses, lovely homemade bread; their own olive oil, jam, honey, and carob syrup; orange juice from their oranges (she offered us wine but the orange juice was SO good); and a salad with greens and tomatoes from their garden. We had such a lovely few hours talking to Sara and her partner's mother, learning about cheese, and eating. When it was time to go, Sara was very kind and gave us a ride to the bus stop (otherwise there's a shuttle bus). I highly recommend this cheese making workshop near Nicosia: great value (€35/person, including our meal) and great fun!

We had a wonderful experience at Aperanti Agrotourism together with friends. The guesthouse itself is beautifully restored and decorated and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Our group was offered a delicious set menu of truly imaginative vegetarian dishes inspired by a unique combination of traditional Cypriot and Italian cuisine. One of the persons in our party was not able to eat dairy and they were catered for brilliantly. Most of the ingredients used in the dishes were locally sourced and of everything was of excellent quality. The homemade liquor was the perfect ending to our meal. Some of us stayed over night and enjoyed a very nice walk in the surrounding area the next day. Thank you Sara and Tassos for such a special experience! Looking forward to next time.

Have stayed in Aperanti on the 16th of August 2021 for 3 nights.
Owners had been very friendly, helpful and smiley.
Breakfast was very tasty and we were well treated.
There are 4 rooms I think you can choose from.
We have chosen Kranga room.
Have in mind that since A/C is not provited room is getting literally very hot.
We were provided with an extra fan but still it was very hot.
There is no television and you can relax.
Thank you very much for the hospitality.

Dear Erma thank you so much for visiting us and for leaving us a positive review. We are glad you had a nice time at Aperanti and enjoyed our products. Indeed, August can be very hot and not the best month to visit our area. Autumn and spring months are the best to explore our beautiful countryside. The traditional architecture with mud bricks generally keeps the room cool even in the summer (if the shutters are kept shut during the day and open in the evening when the temperatures drop a lot) but it may be not as effective in case of a heat wave. We hope you could visit us in the future in another month to enjoy your stay at full! Kind Regards Sara & Tassos

Aperanti is perfectly restored with a great eye for detail in the furnishings. The hospitality from Sara and Tassos was amazing, we felt very much at home and looked after. The homemade jams and halloumi were a particular highlight and we very much enjoyed walking in the area. We’re looking forward to our next visit already.

What an amazing stay!

It’s so hard to find pet friendly places these days. And to have such a lovely accommodation with amazing hosts too!

The location is superb if you are into hiking and exploring what Cyprus has to offer. (So many people overlook this aspect of Cyprus). The hosts were only too willing to provide local recommendations and insights.

The accommodation is lovely, clean and comfy. Complimented with delicious food, all prepared from local produce. We were defiantly well looked after. 😋

This was a great find and I would defiantly recommend. We will be back.

We were delighted by the place as soon as we entered through the main door. Our room was spacious, comfortable, charming and surprisingly cool despite the heat outside.. :-) Our hosts Sara et Dasos are very friendly, resourceful and helpful. They treated us like family and prepared for us a very tasty and unique diner. We loved learning how to make halloumi with Dasos' mother and we are enjoying every bit of this cheese now that we are back at home. There are many fun and interesting things to do with kids in the area like kayaking, visiting the BioFarm, having strawberry granita in a nearby monastery, enjoying the huge playground at a neighbouring Russian church complex (and do mind the astonishing church!), picnicking in the Machairas forest, etc. Really, you'd miss out on A LOT if you go to the Nicosia area without stopping by here!
