We stayed here in October 2020 and had a wonderful time. The hotel is a beautiful old family home which has been nicely restored with traditional rooms, and a new modern extension added at the rear with much more contemporary design. We stayed in the modern block and enjoyed the light and airy feel, the beautifully comfortable bed and excellent shower. The slightly quirky design features which caused some negative comments in the past seem to be resolved and we had no issues. Lovely very generous breakfasts were served in the shady courtyard, with plenty of choice, and staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The rooftop pool is small but was a great way to cool off after a day of sightseeing in Larnaca. For us the location of the hotel was ideal, removed from the main busy beachfront in a quiet area but only a 5 minute stroll to all the restaurants of the busy strip. We would be very happy to return should we be lucky enough to visit Cyprus again some day.…
This hotel has it all - very modern and stylish with character features, great location 2 mins from shops and beach but on a quiet side street, delicious local breakfast options, fab room with super comfy big bed, incredibly polite and helpful staff and wonderful rooftop pool. We couldn't fault it at all. Very highly recommended.
This hotel surprised me in the best possible way. It is unpretentious on the outside, yet luxurious on the inside; Lokàl is quiet, intimate, with the right amount of mystery and charm. Beautifully designed, mixing the old and the new - I loved every single detail in the lobby, the courtyard, the corridors and the rooms. The mattress did wonders to my body! The breakfast was carefully prepared and delicious. Lokàl’s location is very convenient for people who love the old-town vibe. Having the amazing church of St. Lazarus nearby was surely a reason plus for making this place so special, and my stay in Larnaca so perfect.
We found this hotel to be a perfect hotel. 5 min walk to the beach. Not more that 5 min to St Lazarus cathedral which is surrounded by cafes and art shops. Upon arrival we received a complimentary beverage. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Rooms were quaint and had all the amenities. It has a roof top pool which be great in spring and summer.
Arrived to this hotel absolutely exhausted. After my sister got her shower the room was absolutely flooded(videos do not upload to this page). Note that there are electrical outlets on the floor. The staff came to mop which would have taken her a century and it was already 3 am. I asked for another room she initially refused but after much quarrel accepted. I placed each bag in a luggage elevator and having to have my sister grab them from the other side. After the workout(6 bags later), thanks to the grumpy staff, we were shown to a room which was some what of a horror film room labeled as “superior room”(it was half the size).I refused to enter and asked for the equivalent of the room I had booked. She refused and starting to get more rude by the second. I asked for a refund to leave but I was denied a refund. I moved out of the hotel to another on my own expenses yes 4 am in the morning peak season! Nightmare service!…
