Very rude receptionist ( short dark hair, check out in the 19/08 in the morning ) who wanted to make me pay a stay for 2 people when I was alone in my room. When I checked out, she said: “ we saw you with another guy, you were not alone. I had to give my friend room number and his name to proof that he had another room on the same floor. Mind your business!!!! Such a shame because the hotel was nice and had a very good location.
Spent a very happy three days here over Christmas some 15 years ago so was minded to pay the Flamingo a return visit. Its location is hard to beat if you wish to spend time in town and on the beach. Noticed that the beach was raked by tractor every morning - either a very tidy minded local authority or were they nicking sand for somewhere else? Hard to tell. We found the hotel mostly very clean but the paintwork on our bathroom door was in desperate need of a scrub and refresh. Also in the bathroom we had a plug-less sink (no the bath plug would not fit either). Yes, could have asked for a plug but most guests do not like to complain - that said the cleaning staff must have been aware and chose to ignore. Other main moan is that the headboard on the bed has a projecting top that makes it painful to lean against, and, if you put too much pressure on the headboard the bed just moves away from the wall! Breakfast we found to be ample and of good quality: cereals, cold meats and cheese, salad, olives, cucumber slices, baked beans, scrambled egg, hard boiled eggs, bacon (like) squares, sausages, hot tomatoes or aubergine or mushrooms and two types of bread (and a toaster). Hotel parking: a few places at the back of the hotel and back roads. Free on the lay bye opposite the front and a couple of 30 minute drop bays. Interestingly, the lay by just down from the hotel is metered - but no one was paying (likely only charging in full season). There is a very large car park next door to the hotel charging 2 euros/day - looks to be the next major development in the future. One thing that we noticed here and in other Greek places is that there is still a heavy reliance on bright white/blue fluorescent lighting. Someone please sell them modern warm lighting.…
Stayed for 3 nights. Room was small, clean. Beds were soft, towels were changed after 2 days. No fridge in the room. Side view to sea. Staff very friendly and helpful. Beach on the other side of the street. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Not far from the airport.
Nice cheap hotel with few floors and few steps from the beach. Breakfast was good with good coffe and you can choose what you want to eat. Clean room and good professional staff especially the waitress Mimi.
We booked the hotel on lastminute.com with a deal with flight.Worse hotel ever we stay one night and booked something else the day after.Worse customers service the woman at the reception she’s couldn’t even bother to asked the reason. The hotel is tired and not clean at all.-:(
