This hotel was not our choice for our holiday but, our original hotel had been closed on our day of arrival due to a COVID outbreak. We were informed that we were being upgraded to a 5* Hotel and would be very happy. This hotel was further out of town and basically next to a building site, as my friend put it “it was like being in Beirut”. If you wanted to go anywhere then it was taxi or drive that was not what we wanted at all. When we checked into our first room it was unbelievable, it had an old, musty dirty odour to it, the bedding was grey and the covers had pulls and bobbles all over them. There were stains on the floors, cigarette burns in the furniture. There were several large water marks on the dressing table/desk. The TV was out of the 1980’s. The bath room was dreadful the grouting around the bath and sink was awful. The mini fridge had no rails to keep the bottles in place and the fridge door was hanging off as only had 1 securing point. There was a kettle but no cups or spoons. There was a massive strange scratch on the bottom of the inside door which looked like a wild animal had been trying to get out.. the finishing on all of the skirting boards was all bodged. All in all a total disgrace, we requested a room change and we were moved to the newest block which had no balcony and very little view but, the room was absolutely lovely and we had no complaints about that other than the air con unit was very noisy. The food was acceptable, coffee was good, fresh omelettes prepared for you, there was the option of eating al fresco which was really lovely. The pool area was clean and tidy with lots of sunbathing terraces. Drinks at the bar were rather expensive and the bottle of wine was not the same as the one that was sampled..!! There were several facilities available but we only tried the Casino who were not very welcoming as we were British and just wanted to have a look around. The Casio. ran all night therefore there was the sound of traffic coming and going and loud speaking. The staff were fairly accommodating and polite but few spoke very little English. There were a couple of restaurants within walking distance from the hotel.

Not even a 3star. Awful attitude of staff, arguing with each other lack of communication to the customer and very slow service not bothered if they keep you waiting. Lack of choice for food, nothing for kids (4year old) Don't waste your money.

We visited Vuni Palace for a long weekend away as a family. We booked as all inclusive. The positives: Clean hotel room Free car parking Beach front Clean pool Now, the negatives: Terribly slow service at times, non existent Even on an all inclusive bottles water is a paid for service No playground/operational children's area available - there were a couple of paid for rides that were not working Food on offer was terrible with a serious lack of choice - we ate at the hotel two times even though we were on all inclusive No snacks were on offer during the day The lobby bar was not open and the hotel had only one open bar, which a lack of choice available We were placed in a room overlooking the car park which was very noisy during the night due to casino visitors. The hotel was certainly not a five star hotel (we regularly visit the north of Cyprus and have stayed in many excellent five star hotels). We will not be returning to the Vuni Palace.

Stayed here for 4 nights as part of a package deal with RSD travel. It is one of the hotels they use along with Salamis Bay Conti Hotel near Famagusta which was an excellent hotel. The first opinion of this hotel was good with nice entrance area and foyer. The rooms were well equipped with a mini bar (not free), armchair etc. The beds were on the firm side for us and the pillows on the soft side. We didn't watch TV but some of our party who did said there was no signal. There was no kettle in the room which is normal for North Cyprus as the tap water is not safe to drink even after being boiled. The waiters in the breakfast room were very polite and friendly, the breakfast room itself was a good size and overlooking the sea which was nice and the breakfast selection was always very good, there was everything you could want from cooked items, breads, waffles, pastries, fruit, cereals etc. We were in a separate block from the restaurant so had to walk across the outdoor area to it each morning, we didn't have evening meal included so can't comment on that but I thoroughly recommend a restaurant called Alesta which is a 10 min walk up near the main road. They also have a bar with a pool table and TV that we enjoyed while there with a very friendly bar man. Now for the problem of the bathroom. Other people in our holiday party had said that their rooms had had leaks and a sewage smell coming from under the bath we just thought it was a one off until I had a shower and when I got out noticed that the bathroom floor was literally flooded with about one inch of water. I had done everything possible to avoid it and the shower curtain had been in the bath etc, it was so bad it had come out of the bathroom into the doorway area of the main room and the carpet was soaked. We went over to reception in the main block and the receptionist said it was a common problem and they would be over to fix it. A man come to fix it a couple of hours later, he didn't say anything (presumably he couldn't speak English) and just got on with the job and then went not saying if it had been fixed or not so we assumed it had. The following afternoon we were in the hotel room at around 4pm trying to get a couple of hours sleep before our flight at 3am the following morning, we had put the do not disturb sign on the door but someone was trying to enter and was banging on the door and shouting outside and then the telephone rang which was reception, obviously waking us all up. It turns out they had come back to fix the bath again, which we thought had been fixed and had had no warning that someone was going to come back again. Needless to say we were not happy and had only had about 45 mins sleep, when I complained to reception that we had not been told the job wasn't finished and that they had to come back the man on reception just shrugged his shoulders. Not very good customer service.

Friendly staff, really nice weather, stayed there for 7 nights. Try booking the room in the main block, we we’re booked in the second block and we had to go aprox. 5-7 minutes to get breakfast/supper/dinner. It has a big pool, a sand beach and a rock beach, free sun chairs and umbrellas. We also visited the Kyrenia port, Kyrenia center and a couple of other places that we with a guide.
