Myself and my mother stayed at the hotel for a week at the beginning of July on a half board basis - having been a visitor to Northern Cyprus for over 35 years (albeit not a hotel resident normally) and having read all the negative reviews, was slightly concerned when I booked. I need not have worried, our room was excellent, spacious and modern, clean and tidy and well maintained. We used the hotel as a base whilst on the island and I would agree that perhaps it would be around a 4 star rather than 5, found all staff to be very attentive and eager to please and very pleasant and helpful. The food was buffet style but all fresh and a huge variety, you would be hard pushed to not find something you liked. We arrived during Byram so the hotel was exceptionally busy as we expected. Great hotel for families with option of a huge swimming pool or two areas on the beach - I would highly recommend and wanted to provide a honest and positive review - if I was travelling for a quiet relaxing time I would choose a smaller and quieter hotel but thoroughly enjoyed my visit.

Just returned from a long weekend to celebrate my birthday. Our room although with a sea view from the side window was disappointing, air conditioning unit broken and not working, tv dating back to the 1990’s. We stayed on an all inclusive basis, food was poor to average and beware of the drinks that are not included. When we spoke to the staff about our issues we were told that if we expected more then maybe we should pay an extra 200 euro and stay at a better hotel. We live in the republic of Cyprus and will definitely not recommend this hotel to any of our friends or family looking for a stay in this area.

Stayed here for 4 nights as part of a package deal with RSD travel. It is one of the hotels they use along with Salamis Bay Conti Hotel near Famagusta which was an excellent hotel. The first opinion of this hotel was good with nice entrance area and foyer. The rooms were well equipped with a mini bar (not free), armchair etc. The beds were on the firm side for us and the pillows on the soft side. We didn't watch TV but some of our party who did said there was no signal. There was no kettle in the room which is normal for North Cyprus as the tap water is not safe to drink even after being boiled. The waiters in the breakfast room were very polite and friendly, the breakfast room itself was a good size and overlooking the sea which was nice and the breakfast selection was always very good, there was everything you could want from cooked items, breads, waffles, pastries, fruit, cereals etc. We were in a separate block from the restaurant so had to walk across the outdoor area to it each morning, we didn't have evening meal included so can't comment on that but I thoroughly recommend a restaurant called Alesta which is a 10 min walk up near the main road. They also have a bar with a pool table and TV that we enjoyed while there with a very friendly bar man. Now for the problem of the bathroom. Other people in our holiday party had said that their rooms had had leaks and a sewage smell coming from under the bath we just thought it was a one off until I had a shower and when I got out noticed that the bathroom floor was literally flooded with about one inch of water. I had done everything possible to avoid it and the shower curtain had been in the bath etc, it was so bad it had come out of the bathroom into the doorway area of the main room and the carpet was soaked. We went over to reception in the main block and the receptionist said it was a common problem and they would be over to fix it. A man come to fix it a couple of hours later, he didn't say anything (presumably he couldn't speak English) and just got on with the job and then went not saying if it had been fixed or not so we assumed it had. The following afternoon we were in the hotel room at around 4pm trying to get a couple of hours sleep before our flight at 3am the following morning, we had put the do not disturb sign on the door but someone was trying to enter and was banging on the door and shouting outside and then the telephone rang which was reception, obviously waking us all up. It turns out they had come back to fix the bath again, which we thought had been fixed and had had no warning that someone was going to come back again. Needless to say we were not happy and had only had about 45 mins sleep, when I complained to reception that we had not been told the job wasn't finished and that they had to come back the man on reception just shrugged his shoulders. Not very good customer service.

I'm starting with the food, only rice can be eaten. I've been walking around hungry for two days. The meat is disgusting and the food at the casino is also terrible. The rooms cannot accommodate a single person with a hundred-year-old sink. For two days in a row, the cleaners and room service staff try their best to wake you up at 8 am. Vacuuming starts at 8. Room service kicks in your door at 8.30. If you don't open it, you won't be able to escape because this time they burst into the room. A stinking hotel with old dirt. If you are going to have a holiday, spend the money you spend here on a hostel and eat something outside with the rest. At least prevent your money from going to waste

I never recommend very bad. We stayed 3 days the quality of the service was very low in room cleaning and the waters were not even replaced for 3 days. The casino only entertains specific diners or first-timers, 3 days with my husband and I didn’t even hold more than half an hour of play and we had to go to other casinos all the time. It was especially our first choice here because we had a lot of experience before. They used to have very good staff, now the service is awful.

Greetings to everyone;

My wife and I stayed 3 nights 4 days all inclusive. Although everything was included, it was the first time we encountered a property where even pet bottled water was sold for money. We arrived at the hotel like 9. Naturally, we could not have had anything to eat. If your concept didn’t get started when we said we could have breakfast or you couldn’t do it at the casino, we’ve got the answer. Trust me, a response like this isn’t given to a shy customer. We had to go to the center for a bite there. The room also has a running shower and lavabo water, but it''s salty. It’s a real joke. The response we received when we spoke with the officials was malfunctioning. We took a 2 day saltwater shower. The water was salt-free the last day, but this time it stinks of chlorine. Absolutely ridiculous. Your service pattern is too slow. You want something to arrive for minutes. Except for the obvious housekeeper, we didn’t see anyone laugh. Our check-out flight departs at 21 p.m., and pickup takes us up at 18. We’re at the hotel until 6 p.m. We said it was afternoon and lunch was the same as check-in. Eat at the casino or open a account. We were taken carelessly when we said it was not nice to sacrifice your customer. We stayed in a lot of facilities in Cyprus and never did anything like that. Clearly, this stay was a huge disappointment for us.

The bed was old and the pillows were very bad. We couldn’t sleep as the pillow was deformed. Although the all-inclusive concept was not water to the room, we got water with the money. We wanted to go for breakfast at 10 at the first entrance, but we were told we ⁇ ’t take advantage of anything before 12 and we had to pay if we wanted breakfast. They even wanted to sell the coffee at a fee when we wanted a coffee after 12:15. We took a saltwater shower. When we asked the employees, they told us that the water came from the sea and was savory due to disturbances in treatment. Even their own employees were very uncomfortable. The salt rate fell a bit last day again, but we had trouble taking a shower because of the stink of an incredible sink. Very bad experience overall. I never want to go again.

Meals are constantly repetitive and small drinks are very bad. 5 star is ordinary but 3 or 4 star. The sea is beautiful. We bought it with the all-inclusive concept. We delivered the room at 12 on the last day. Even though we said our transfer would be at 18:00, he said our all-inclusive concept was over and said to take off the wristband immediately. I wonder if the 4 hours we will have after 12 am will ruin the hotel. Until today, I have stayed in so many all-inclusive concepts and I have never seen anyone buy a wristband on the last day. This situation caused serious customer dissatisfaction.

We visited Vuni Palace for a long weekend away as a family. We booked as all inclusive.

The positives:
Clean hotel room
Free car parking
Beach front
Clean pool

Now, the negatives:
Terribly slow service at times, non existent
Even on an all inclusive bottles water is a paid for service
No playground/operational children's area available - there were a couple of paid for rides that were not working
Food on offer was terrible with a serious lack of choice - we ate at the hotel two times even though we were on all inclusive
No snacks were on offer during the day
The lobby bar was not open and the hotel had only one open bar, which a lack of choice available
We were placed in a room overlooking the car park which was very noisy during the night due to casino visitors.

The hotel was certainly not a five star hotel (we regularly visit the north of Cyprus and have stayed in many excellent five star hotels). We will not be returning to the Vuni Palace.

Large, clean rooms with a comfortable bathroom.
Rooms in building 3 unfortunately without a balcony and with a view of the car park or construction site. Unfortunately associated with the corresponding noise. During the day, construction site noise on one side, early in the morning and in the evening, a loud shuttle bus for the staff.
Some of the staff are quite reserved.
The entire complex does not offer a nice environment, i.e. gardens, in contrast to the neighboring hotel Oscar Resort.

Hi, There is very little close by the Vuni Palace, but you can get a cab into town where there is a good choice of bars. Cab fares are peanuts and the best way to town as the streets are not lit very well with rough or broken pavements. It is just over a mile but the humidity makes walking sweaty, sticky and thirsty.

Hi, There are no tea or coffee facilities supplied in the rooms at Vuni Palace. There is a kettle in some of the rooms and a mini bar. When asking at reception for tea and coffee you are told to call room service where a bellboy will deliver a brew from the kitchen. The tea is typically Turkish herbal (not English with milk. coffee again Turkish). I do not know if there is a shuttle to Pasha but i know guests from the Vuni can use the facilities of the Oscar Hotel next door. All of the hotels are part of the Oscar group of companies which is also one of the biggest car hire companies in Kyrenia. There are 2 small mini markets a few minutes walk from the hotel but be aware the security guard at the hotel gate will not let you bring in food and drink. Take a small coloured shopping bag to hide your water, tea and milk.
