It was our first visit to the Mill Hotel and I must say we had a enjoyable time, although listed here are some observations.
Reserve car park spots for hotel guest.... Many visitors to the Riverside walk totally overwhelming for the small car park.
The WiFi is very poor so maybe a booster required.
Our delux room lacked a ceiling fan as such the air was always hot even at the high level.
The staff were welcoming and couldn't do enough to make our stay pleasurable. Even replacing the batteries in the ac remote with no fuss.
Overall a little expensive at Euro 160 per night but a nice change of scene for a weekend escape.

There was a friendly welcome on arrival. Our room was on the 2nd floor, the same level as the reception. The room was huge, with a lovely big bed, seating areas, a balcony, lots of storage, good lighting, TV with satellite channels, a safe, kettle and hairdryer. The bathroom was big with a jacuzzi bath and nice toiletries provided. Basically there was everything you could need.

The hotel is in a beautiful building and has lovely views over the river. It's located in the centre of the village and had a car park. There's a lift up to the 3rd floor restaurant where we had dinner in the first evening. The food was very good, the trout was beautifully cooked and presented, and there was a nice selection of Cypriot wines. The service was helpful and friendly.

The breakfast was table service and was extremely generous with cold cuts and cheese, toast and breads, a choice of cereals and cooked options. The food was excellent and so was the service.

We had a problem with the WiFi on the second day as it was very weak, but this is only a slight niggle.

We really liked the style of the hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

The restaurant is located within the hotel in the middle of the old town of kakopetria. The view on the village is amazing. The fish was tasty mainly the sauce as well as the salad .. the sweet and the fruit are nice too. The service was excellent and the waitress was friendly. I liked the place. We paid around 78 euros for two including two soft drinks.

An absolutely excellent hotel midway up the Troodos mountains. It is an excellent base for viewing the local villages in the area. The premier rooms were very large with all amenities that one would expect of a hotel of this quality. It is well worth considering going out of season as it is excellent value for money. There is a wide choice of food for breakfast and dinner in the evening at the hotel is excellent. A thoroughly enjoyable stay at a fantastic hotel.

The Mill hotel is a very special place to spend a quiet vacation. it is in the heart of the Troodos Mountains and allows to visit the area and return to the serenity of the hotel. We got the senior as all the rest was taken. The Junior suit and the standard room are all good. Breakfast is very good with the morning breeze and the sight of the village plus a great buffet. The staff is very attentive and helpful with advice and directions.
the decision to turn this old mill into a modern hotel was very right.

We had a lovely suite on the third floor. However what is not written anywhere is that to get to these rooms you have to walk up a steep, open stepped staircase, there must be people who have booked these rooms who could not walk up these stairs. We asked for assistance with our case which we readily got. The suite was very spacious with fantastic views. The choice at breakfast could have been better and you had to ask for toast (from a not very friendly lady). Our dinner experience was excellent and we couldn’t fault the food or service. The hotel is very traditional with lots of character.

The Mill Hotel & restaurant is situated in the heart of Kakopetria.

We were greeted by a charming man called Aris who showed us to our table where we had a panoramic view of the whole village.

He recommended various Cypriot dishes which were absolutely sensational. Cypriot salad with Halloumi and home made marmalade.

Filleted trout is their specialty and it was cooked to perfection.

The Pork chop and chicken were lovely.
The hand cut cyprus potato chips were the best I have had in cyprus.

We finished our meal with cyprus coffee and the amazing walnut preserved in syrup, once again home made.

An excellent lunch with great service.

This is well worth the visit.

the worst hospitality I ever experienced. we came to eat at the restaurant and we didn't have a reservation, they barely talked to us - that we should make a reservation in a very mean way, no welcoming no complement.. even they have many empty tables but said they can't take more customers! and left us standing there and go!!

I had an unpleasant experience at this Hotel. I expected to have a quite and peaceful evening on the room balcony. Unfortunately under the hotel balcony is a bar with loud music that goes on until midnight - is a nice bar indeed but not for such a peaceful area.

If you are seeking for a peaceful experience enjoying your tea/whine on the balcony in the middle of the nature then you might need to check in the weekdays.

Another disappointment came from the fact that there are not enough parking places for the Hotel guests, this is because the parking is occupied by the restaurants guests or the bar outside the Hotel. You will have to find a parking few hundred meters away, not easy if you have language.

We booked here while staying in the Troodos mountains. The 30 minute drive was definitely worth it.

The trout and Kiev dishes were excellent, as was the service and overall atmosphere.

Parking can be a bit tight but we were lucky to find a space outside the hotel rather than have to walk.

You need to book early to get a table on the terrace with a view, we sat inside and it is also very nice.

We were at the Hotel last week and there were children of that age in the property. Even younger.
