With all of its surrounding beauty and the beautiful restoration of the hotel, the food was, unfortunately, quite mediocre. The ambiance and the staff were outstanding but the kitchen was rather below par. Pity.
We stayed at the hotel to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. We booked directly with the hotel which was easy and I mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary. Upon arrival a lovely bowl of fruit was waiting for us with Wishes from the hotel. The suite we booked was stunning and had a jacuzzi. Clean, comfortable and wonderful views of the river from the balcony. We also had dinner in the restaurant. It's a must as both the food and the service were excellent! Same applies for the Reception. Thank you all for a memorable stay! We will be back!
There was a friendly welcome on arrival. Our room was on the 2nd floor, the same level as the reception. The room was huge, with a lovely big bed, seating areas, a balcony, lots of storage, good lighting, TV with satellite channels, a safe, kettle and hairdryer. The bathroom was big with a jacuzzi bath and nice toiletries provided. Basically there was everything you could need. The hotel is in a beautiful building and has lovely views over the river. It's located in the centre of the village and had a car park. There's a lift up to the 3rd floor restaurant where we had dinner in the first evening. The food was very good, the trout was beautifully cooked and presented, and there was a nice selection of Cypriot wines. The service was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was table service and was extremely generous with cold cuts and cheese, toast and breads, a choice of cereals and cooked options. The food was excellent and so was the service. We had a problem with the WiFi on the second day as it was very weak, but this is only a slight niggle. We really liked the style of the hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone staying in the area.…
Like everyone, we always hope our holiday is as enjoyable as it can be. Staying at this hotel definitely made our stay enjoyable and relaxing. -The room was wow: It combines tradition and modernity. It was very spacious and super super clean. -Staff members are very friendly and eager to assist by all means. -There are parking spaces available exactly outside the entrance of the Hotel (on Sundays it might be a bit busy but staff members ensure to serve their hotel guests first). -Mylos Restaurant (located on the rooftop) is also excellent. We had a very nice dinner there - tried the steak and the famous trout. -Cyprus Breakfast is sumptuous and freshly made. Kakopetria village with its narrow, picturesque streets and traditional houses with wooden balconies will fascinate you! We will definitely come back.…
The Mill hotel is a very special place to spend a quiet vacation. it is in the heart of the Troodos Mountains and allows to visit the area and return to the serenity of the hotel. We got the senior as all the rest was taken. The Junior suit and the standard room are all good. Breakfast is very good with the morning breeze and the sight of the village plus a great buffet. The staff is very attentive and helpful with advice and directions. the decision to turn this old mill into a modern hotel was very right.
Stayed for a week in October. Staff very friendly, hotel and facilities nicely clean. Chef excellent. Hotel managing to survive in a tough climate by providing excellent customer care. Negatives? Internet slow and temperament. And although every dish was perfectly prepared and executed the main choices on the menu were old fashioned and an odd mixture.
If I had to live in a hotel (and I've stayed in thousands) this is the one. Found quite by chance (Trip Advisor) we stayed two nights. The staff are helpful and kind, the rooms are so well appointed, clean, yet traditional, the restaurant has a super choice of simply excellent food, led by a world class Maitre d', the building is quirkly, the village is gorgeous, there are lovely walks on the doorstep...what's not to like.
Had a lunch with friends at The Mill. We were all impressed with the location, food, service, staff. Good value for money. There is a lift as its on 3 floors. The views are amazing. We sat outside on the balcony which was cooler. The staff are lovely. They called ahead to check we were still OK for our reservation. There were 7 of us. Probably one of the best meals I have had in Cyprus. The trout looked and smelled amazing, I will be having that on my next visit. Try it you won't be disappointed. Pictures are a selection of starters and mains.
We would like to thank all the staff for the hospitality and the excellent service. Receptionist, chambermaid, restaurant staff all excellent. HOSPITALTY. Best dish in the restaurant Trout fish. Breakfast and restaurant high quality.
Our family ate there today. I ordered a ribeye steak well done. The steak was medium. I sent it back and I didn't want them to microwave it so I sent it back. They had the nerve to charge us for the steak.....
