We stayed in room 611. No valet parking. Tuncay was our server who helped us at dinner, there was no prosecco and they only serve the cheapest drinks, he was professional and tried to help us but couldn't provide what we wanted. The TV is old and the channels don't work. It is an antique tv screen with a blurry messed up screen. No music channels. No channel's available at all. Habip at the casino is a good server. Got us the perfect amaretto just the way we like it. No room service. The only place you can eat late night is the disgusting smokey casino. All services were closed and we were not gambling enough on the machines so the 'chef' said we can not drink anymore so they stopped serving us and we bet one more time, cashed out and left. Mani from reception said at 1:27am that room service and drink service is unavailable. He said that the casino and the hotel work independently so no food or drinks can be delivered to our room. We went back to the casino since nothing else was open and they gave us watered down amaretto. The hotel Parking is a nightmare. We woke up in the morning hoping to shower and go to the beach. At 9:00am, there was no water from the tap or the shower in the room. The buffet breakfast and dinner is not fresh, the variety is sad. Most of the staff don't speak English. We decided to check out early, we wanted a refund for the remaining days that we paid for up front. They wanted to photocopy both sides of my credit card! I spoke to the Merit financial department via phone from the reception and they said they can not refund me unless they have a photo copy of both sides of my credit card (this is risky and illegal in many countries). The woman on the phone said "We are Merit, you should trust us!". Merit Gardens is a disgrace to the Merit hotel chain and this hotel should shut down completely. We will never go back and I don't recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stumbled upon this place as we were not happy with the phoenix casino at Limak Hotel further down the road. Once we were there this became our fav go to casino for the rest of our vacay. The entire casino is not too big and it has a smoky atmoshphere in the evenings. But the decor was quite unique from the other casinos i have been to.The place had character in itself. The dealers were also very friendly and accommodating during our entire playing time. Even after we won a bit of money on the tables they were not aggressive or pushy like other casinos.BJ-10$, Roulette- 4 lira.Pocket friendly. Slots were a blast and you have a wide variety to chose from our fav being the egyptian game right at the entrance where my friends were super lucky. Drinks and smokes on offer were also of decent standards. Dinner and snacks were also fulfilling. They even pay your winnings in dollars which was not the case earlier in cyprus. They even have a restaurant outside the casino where the food was adequate and also a bar next to the pool. The property itself is right on the beach. One of the first casinos where i have seen a window opening out to the outside world. Overall me and my boys and family had a great time at the Merit Casino. Will be back next year for sure...thanks

We visited for a couple of nights as two couples. Maybe because they couldn’t find our booking initially, (although we had the voucher ‘travel Republic’ sent us,)and had to make up our rooms in a hurry while we went for lunch, maybe that was the reason we had problems getting extra pillows, tea/coffee,cups etc (took til 10pm ) despite repeated requests at reception. The bungalows were very clean although the towels looked as if they could do with a good wash to get rid of stains. No pool towels at the pool maybe understandable at 3pm but the shabby ones in use which passed for pool towels were very disappointing. Initial impressions are important guys, please up your game because you have a lovely situation by the beach. Standard of food was good for all inclusive and the deck area of the restaurant was lovely and spacious for a relaxing meal. Pool was good although the nightclub style music left a lot to be desired as it was so loud! Overall, once we overcame our initial disappointment,we had a nice relaxing stay but probably wouldn’t return.

We stayed here July 31-Aug 6 as a family with a 2 and 5years old children. We travelled two families together, the other also with little kids (1 and 2 years old). We payed for separate rooms, but we got a Suite nr 205, which was absolutely fabolous!! Very spacious, big living room, nice terrase, two bedrooms, kitchen with fridge, nice bathroom..everything renovated..very very satisfied with the suite! It was really close to the pool/beach.. Now if you want to get a nice spot by the pool in the peak season, you must get up early in the morning and put your towels on sunbeds to reserve them. The first day we got only one sunbed for the for of us. On the beach they are always free, but that is because most of guest spend time rather by the pool. The main reason for that is cleanliness of the sea-at the afternoon there is none! There is a port very near and at the afternoon sea gets dirty. If you like swimming in the sea, I recommend it mornings, when the sea is calm and very clean. The beach is sandy, but with big stones at the bottom of the sea. But they are not sharp, so shoes are really not neccesery. Pool is nice, warm, could be a little bit bigger, afternoons it gets a little bit crowdy. Cocktails by the pool are nice, they were a must every day :-) . The last day we wanted to try nargila, but staff said that they had no suppliments for us to smoke it-big dissapointment. Icecream for kids everyday by the main restaurant..children were happy, but honestly it was not really tasty. Now the food..absolutely delishious!!! Every day something else, we loved the food!! Coffee was ok but nothing special. The biggest compliments for the end go to best STAFF! There is nothing too hard for them to do for you, always smiles on their faces, noone seemed to be expecting tips (as we were used in other similar countries), they were really fast in the restaurant, always opening doors..the reception guy was also very nice and helpful. All in all we spent a really nice family holiday..But I must say If we didn't spend one whole day in Famagusta town and other whole day on a boat trip we would be borred at the hotel. There is no animation, children got borred of a little playground after theee days, no watersports, nowhere to go for a walk, nowhere to shop...I would recommend this hotel to families with little babies, and older people..for younger couples, groups or bigger children could get borring. I also recommend to the managment of the hotel to think about these prepositions-animation at the hotel, bigger pool. Holidays were nice, beautiful nature, gardens..but next time we will choose a hotel with a little bit more life in it.

The hotel is located right on the seafront. The beach is very well arranged. The hotel has all the facilities, the rooms are large. The hotel also has a swimming pool. The staff is kind. The meal is all inclusive and is of very good quality. Links the city are rather difficult unless you have a rented car.

This was one of the best hotels I have checked in. I recommend it from all my heart and if I have a chance to go back I will definitely choose this hotel. The room The room was large and clean. Equipped with a cattle, tea, coffee. We wanted a twin room and we got one, they were informed before we arrived. It had a sofa beside the beds. A small balcony with chairs. We had our room on the ground floor, I think the balconies from the first floor are better. We had problems with air conditioner , it was not working. We called reception, they sent mister Sami from technic service but the problem was serious so they could do nothing. The technic manager also came to our room to investigate and because they couldn’t do anything they brought us an electrical heater. We also had a minibar and in the first day was empty, in the second day only 1 water was brought and I called reception and immediately the brought us 2 bottle of water. Incredible! They acted so fast with all the requests I had. The wi-fi in the room was perfect, I wouldn’t expect to have this kind of quality wi-fi. The bathroom: Cleaned, large with soap, shampoo and all the necessary things. I enjoyed the make up mirror. The only problem in the bathroom is that there is no heating there so the bathroom is cold when you take shower. The restaurant: The breakfast was amazing, 5* quality. The food tasted nice and there were so many choices. The staff was nice and polite and even if they were foreigners they offered a good service. The area and beach The hotel is so nice, with bungalows, with green space, with lots of flowers, trees. The beach is close by and even if there were no sunbeds on the beach ( it was December!) we asked for beach towels that were provided immediately and we could take sun bath. The beach is not so large so in full season I don’t know how they arrange the beach for the people for have enough space but now was perfect. The hotel has a casino, we entered just to look around but if you like gambling and play there are lots of machines inside the casino. Around the hotel are many cats but I enjoyed to see them. If you want to have a walk, near the hotel is a promenade for bikers and joggers. Is very long so you can walk there. Also there is a pastry nearby where you can eat lunch/dinner and also a market. Overall I recommend this hotel from all my heart and if there is any chance to return I will definitely stay in this hotel.

Very happy with our 4 nights all inclusive stay. High standards with every aspect. VG location with Famagusta, Salamis etc near by. Was very pleased that what can be 'extras' ie room a/c, safe, wi-fi, soft drinks, are included in the price. Will be back !

Perfect staff and outstanding service. Resort is a bit old, also the rooms, but the friendly staff and typically Merit-service was outstanding. Food very tasty and a good variety as well. With it's quiet location and nice sandy beach a perfect opportunity to have a relaxed holiday!
