Nice hotel with easy access to public transport (which is free in Luxembourg). The complimentary breakfast each morning wasn't huge but had a great selection of breads, muesli, fruits, some meats, and would cook eggs for you upon request. I stayed 2 nights in September and it made a great home base to explore the city
Stayed for 4 nights. Check in staff was very nice but the real surprise was when I got to my room... it was excellent. Good size, clean, great bed, bathroom was excellent. If there is anything I could fault, it would be that there is no fridge in the room but it isn't a problem as there are supermarkets within a few minutes walk. Breakfast included is basic but good enough. Breakfast staff was very a nice lady. Convenient location across the road from the main station with trams & buses right in front of hotel. I loved staying at this hotel & I would definately stay here again. It has good reviews & it deserves every one of them.
Ideal location right opposite the station and we really liked the colourful multicultural station district with lots of different restaurants. Fairly basic room. Breakfast was included in the price and breakfast was of a high standard including a choice of eggs and fresh fruit salad
Should be easy to locate this central hotel from the station but airport bus took us to the rear of station so had to use lift and walkway to get across the tracks. Hotel reception was efficient and check was straightforward. Given room on 6th floor which was reasonably quiet until construction work started on adjacent building. Room was adequate and bed reasonably comfy. Self service continental breakfast was good with plenty of choice. They even offered freshly made scrambled egg. Hotel is very convenient for tram, buses and trains and plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes in the vicinity.
Wonderful location across from train station and tram.. all tram and buses free in Luxembourg! Three stops to old town! Could be tad noisy but windows are well insulated. Front desk nice but not concierge to tell you what is good to do.. lots a brochures! The breakfast is full meal with made to order eggs! Only hotel ever to have loose tea … for hot tea in the morning!! This was Grand!! Rooms were small but comfortable& clean’
A very good and convenient hotel overall. Just opposite the train station. The tram is just outside the hotel door and takes you to the city center for free (!). The room was specious and very clean. There is a kettle and coffee facilities in the room. You can take your breakfast up to your room in a tray. This was very important to me as, due to Covid we still don’t seat indoors to eat, anywhere. Staff in breakfast room was very friendly. A lady there, helped me to fix my tray and take it to my room. Around the hotel there are fast food and other restaurants, S/M etc. Hotel Empire is the best choice when in Luxembourg. If I return to this beautiful city (and country), I will surely stay at Empire hotel. (Dates of accommodation: 18-20/04/22).
The hotel is a direct opp to the Gare Luxembourg central train station. It's not a huge hotel but adorable. The staff is very supportive. After booking a non-refundable, we requested for a date change, and the staff agreed, even though finally we didn't change. The hotel is small but well sized, extremely clean, with all required facilities. There is free wifi (strong), water is drinkable, a high-pressure shower, coffee- tea maker, daily housekeeping, a safety box, TV with all non-English channels except BBC. Breakfast has fewer options but is OK. The bed is comfortable. Room Windows are openable. A room heater is available. Inside the hotel, the floor and walls are extremely well clean and maintained. The staff are very pleasing. We enjoyed staying here. For sure, we will return to this property next time when we travel to Lux.…
Plus points - just across from the train station, small but comfortable room with tea/coffee facilities, proper hangers, basic but decent breakfast buffet, helpful receptionist. Hotel is either new or recently renovated so rooms are better in terms of quality/appearance than a number of more expensive hotels in Luxembourg. Can’t think of any minus points. Highly recommended
This hotel offers a great value. The rooms are very clean with comfortable beds. The location is convenient to get around and a bit away from the less nice gare area. The breakfast exceeded all expectations for the price of the stay with a wide selection of choices (all good quality) offered from 7am-11am.
Hotel is right across the street from the train station so it was great for the easy walk after a long travel. The room facing the main street and railway station is huge with large windows that should stay shut during the day since there is construction. It is an older hotel and the beds were fine. The newly renovated bathroom had a big shower with the largest rain showerhead. The breakfast buffet had both hot and cold items and the restaurant was a nice place to rest and have a drink.
