We booked our room through a second party and upon arrival the gentleman, I assume was the owner, said he couldn't find it, but let us into our room to be sorted out the next day with his desk clerk. We were happy with our clean room and comfortable bed. After driving 9 hours it was a pleasant rest. Then we very much enjoyed eating in the restaurant. I had the filet de boeuf and hubby the Jamboneau, both excellent! The very friendly bar man and Waiter suggested a lovely local wine for us and we were very fond of it. Great experience here and we will return. It was a cool, wet Autumn day and the scenery was beautiful.
We had a pleasant two night stay here, the rooms were comfortable with two dogs. We ate in the restaurant, the food was lovely. The location was ideal for walks, and getting into the city centre. We found the staff most pleasant and accommodating.
We wanted to have a nice Luxembourgish dinner and my favourite place wasn't taking anymore reservations that night so my in-laws suggested Sieweburen. It's near Kosptal down in the valley - a wonderful location where you can do a beautiful walk in the woods and then have a traditional Luxembourgish dinner at the restaurant after. It's an old hotel and restaurant, I haven't stayed at the hotel but the decor in the restaurant needs a little updating. The food was good and portions are decent, but certainly far too expensive for me to recommend it - if they reduced their price by 1/3 I would say it is worth it. There is a little park in front of the restaurant to keep the kids busy while they wait for dinner. There is lots of parking out front and you will need to drive unless you are a local and really know the buses - walking there would be tough if you don't know Luxembourg very well.…
Not as expensive as other LU hotels. The rooms are spacious and clean, there is ample parking (a treasure in Luxembourg). Parking is free from 18.00 until 08.00. Staff was friendly, the neighbourhood is a bit calm, which I don't really mind. Wifi was really flaky.
I went there with a friend to have dinner. We came with a scooter and after parking it the french speaking waiter told us in an unfriendly way that we were parking at a place for handicaped people, we were not aware of this because it was not clearly indicated by any traffic sign. We than parked at another place, but i mean there are definitifely nicer ways to wellcome clients at a restaurant. The food was ok, the service (french) definitively not. I will not go there anymore.
