This Hotel was excellent, the location, the staff, the room everything was just perfect! Mr. Camal helped me a lot during my stay, gave me some information about Luxembourg, which made my stay at the hotel and at the city perfect! Thank you!
Firstly, if you are arriving by plane, the number 6 bus goes directly from the airport and stops right outside the hotel (Park Merl). Public transport is free. Easy peasy. Nice entrance hall and very nice restaurant to have breakfast in (of which more later). Bedroom was nice, not that big. King sized bed. Mattress was hard. There is firm and there is hard – this was hard. I woke with backache every morning. The lighting was a bit strange as the bedside light only worked when the two ceiling lights in the entrance worked. We tried every combination and eventually gave up. Nice bathroom, strong shower. Towels changed every day. Nowhere to hang them but that’s the same in most hotels so it was over the doors and over the chairs as usual. Hook on wall for shower cap which is good and hairdryer. Lots of mirrors in the bathroom – none in the bedroom. Chambermaids slightly over zealous. Note to self – don’t leave clean unused cotton wool pads by sink. Gone! Had to buy some more. 2 flannels provided of which I used one but that was taken away the next day and not replaced leaving just one. I hid this one in the shower to ensure it wasn’t taken away too. Separate area for packing and to keep suitcases which was very handy. Plus mini fridge, tea/coffee and safe. Also had balcony overlooking the park which was nice. Breakfast was a whopping 20 Euros per person per day. This is the most I’ve ever come across as an “add on”. We were expecting big things. Well, it was fine, had everything we needed but certainly nothing more than that. No option for cooked breakfast which my husband likes. Just help yourself – fruit, yoghurt, cereal, bread, jams, cheese, eggs etc. All fine and we were happy with it, but not worth 20 euros. Why don’t they just give a fixed price with breakfast included? However, I do recommend the evening restaurant – Le Bistrot. The food was absolutely superb. Overall, a nice hotel, friendly helpful staff and we enjoyed our stay.…
The overall service was experienced as very poor. Renting a parking for €25 a night but not being able to enter at New Years Eve causing us to be late at our reservation. Additionally, the breakfast was very minimalistic and absolutely not worth the €20 a person as even the salmon was not properly cooled causing sickness further ruining our NYE. To top it off we received “leftover cake” for my birthday from one of the staff-members, for which we where initially( to our suprise) billed €16 the next morning. For everybody considering staying here, DON’T!! You will regret it!
I had a pleasant stay ❤️ here in september. The staff is very nice and helpful. Due to Corona they have som restrictions but everything was perfect. You can have your breakfast in the room or sit in the restaurant. You have to choose what you want from a list and the make a tray for you 👍 This hotel is near city centre. Not far to walk but you can also go by bus 🚍 no 5 or 6 to get there fast and easy. The public transport are free and it’s perfect to go from the airport and back as well. Just ask and you’ll get help 🙏 My room was very warm and a lot of noise from the traffic, if you can choose a room with view at the garden.
Large and comfortable room, Very clean and nicely furnished. Comfortable bed for a good night sleep under a feather light duvet. Lovely, modern bathroom and efficient air conditioning which was not heard at all. Very good value for money!
The rooms and bathrooms are fine-slightly dated and need updating but they are comfortable. Breakfast was not included in our rate which was disappointing so we did not eat at the hotel. The staff are friendly and it is close to the city. It was fine for the purposes of our trip but I dont think I would return.
I stayed for two nights and was actually looking forward to my stay since I recently became a citizen of Luxembourg. The hotel website presents itself as an upper tier hotel and at one time I’m sure it was. It looks like a hotel from 1985 or so. While the rooms are large, clean, and the bed was comfortable, it was a bit dated. The shower lacks a curtain or door so water goes everywhere. The room was not next to the elevators but I could hear them all night both nights, but fortunately I had some airline earplugs to use. I forgot my charger and asked if they might have a loaner. The gentleman looked in a drawer that was full of chargers left by previous customers and he gave me one to try. When it didn’t work I returned it to the front desk. At checkout I had a fee for the charger. I had to ask for it to be deleted. The fitness center was 3 pieces of equipment so I didn’t bother. After 2 weeks in numerous French hotels where the staff were always super friendly and ready to help, I found the staff here less so. The hotel restaurant was a breath of fresh air though. Friendly and helpful staff and good food. Overall adequate but needs a refresher. …
Bedding is excellent, with a full pillow menu, and all of the pillow cases were clean and white (no unwashed decorative pillows). Molton Brown toiletries in the bathroom are lovely. The rooms on the street side do have some street noise, but the windows are double-glazed so that blocks it out if they are closed. The 'gym' consists of a treadmill and two weight machines literally in the corner of a small basement room that is also a shower and sauna room. The room was nicely cleaned each day, and I would come back again for a basic but reliable option in Luxembourg.
Nice Hotel located on the Edge of the city , quite Area , easy to use Public transport to City center. Restaurants and Super Market located on Walking distance. Room small but with good furniture and well distributed ( you will not be disturb by its size). Staff professional but not all of them friendly. Negative issue that no Air condition on the rooms and this wasn't highlighted in any of the web sites ( Booking, Hotel,Expedia,...) in addition to the Hotel Web site. Some of the room looking on the parc.
Nice location and if you get a room at the park side a nice view also. Nice and clean rooms with everything you need. The breakfast is good, nothing extraordinary, however very good quality and excellent and friendly service.
