We opted to use our government provided voucher in this hotel as it could provide food in the rooms as well. After months of lockdown and closed restaurants we decided to come here for a different experience. Very friendly staff and decent size rooms. Food was brilliant and we had a brilliant time.
Pros - Reception area nice with a cosy fire -Free parking 1min walk from hotel - Well equipped kitchenette Cons - Our suite was not clean. - Food stains on the table - Kitchen towel had dirt on it - Fridge needed a clean use - Hair and what looked like a blood stain in the bed. (Reception had to come up and change the sheets and wipe down all surfaces in the room) - You can hear everything from the people walking around above your room. -lights in the room and kitchenette area flickering
Nice reception, staff was friendly. However the Room I was disappointed about, Hidden on the 2nd floor of the adjacent building. Very small entrance already to the room. Limited lights - 1 bed light, 1 lamp and 1 general light. As far as I can tell heating could not be regulated at all. Cold when arriving and then rather warm overnight/morning. The bathroom was tiny. No extra light over the bathroom mirrors which left doing make up very difficult. Shower is stuck in the corner so not very comfortable as you had to bent over to get under it. Bathroom door silicone needs replacement as mold on it and several of the mosaic stones missing as well. I presume this might be more of a hotel linked to the restaurant - which of course was closed due to Covid. Would not necessarily stay again purely for the hotel.…
Excellent location for a visit of the lovely town Luxenburg. The hotel is located next to the city centre. You could walk to the centre but as public transport is free you can also take a bus. The hotel offers a paying parking space but the trainstation, 100 meters away, has a huge free parking. The rooms are very spacious. The restaurant is top class. One of the best meals we had in a long time. The staff are more than just helpfull. Every single one of them will go out of their way to assist you. We stayed two nights and planning to go back.
Hotel is located a few miles from town center, but easy to get around. Parking available in front of the hotel, but not free, or 1-2min walk away you can park for free at the train station car park. Hotel itself is renovated around 2017, so looks nice all around. Rooms spacious and clean, got a terrace on 2nd floor and kitchen area if you want to make your own food. Individual fridges/ cupboards availabe if you need them. Staff were super friendly. Breakfast was good (need to make selection evening before due to covid), so anything like eggs etc are extra. But cold meats, salmon, bread/croissants, fruits, jam etc were included. Overall- would stay again and recommend.
