We were on our way home from a long touring holiday, ad we chose this as a last stop before returning home. We had stayed two nights before in Liechtenstein, in a hotel that could not be called a hotel!!! We were so happy to arrive here and be greeted by a friendly, helpful young man on reception. Good start. The room was very nice, there was a restaurant and a bar, a big plus when you arrive travel weary, and don't have to go and look for somewhere to eat. That evening we ate in the restaurant, food and service were excellent. I finished with an Irish coffee, wow. The second evening we decided to eat in the very cosey bar, There were a lot of people and we hadn't booked a table, but luckily they found a place for us. Once again, we were delighted with the food and the service. Couldn't have hoped for a better end to our holiday. Ever more so after the two nights before in a dump in Liechtenstein. thank you for our lovely stay.…
I drove here from Germany so the location for me was perfect to see Luxembourg! The hotel is very modern, the staff were all friendly and couldn’t do enough. The room was very spacious, well equipped with plenty of plug sockets, spotlessly clean, quiet (I know there were other guests there but couldn’t hear them). The en suite was again very clean with plenty of towels provided. The shower was great too as it wasn’t a fixed headed one.
Stopped here for one night and can honestly say that was long enough. Didn't like the atmosphere there at all. No smiles or welcoming feeling off any staff. Rooms were run down, hot and stuffy. Supposed to be a garden view but could only see a roof top... disappointing..will not go back ☹
Spend two nights there to travel around and to visit the photo exhibition "The Family of Man" in Clervaux. We had a spacious room but with a tiny bath. Everything was neat and clean, very comfortable big bed. Only the bathroom was very "out of date" with old tiles and damaged parts. Very welcoming house with an excellent restaurant. One evening we had local food which was very delicious. The second evening we had one of their famous pizzas - huge and really excellent! And quite a variety! Very friendly and attentive staff, nice sitting on the balcony. You should book a table. Very convenient - an Irish pub, quite authentic, with four tables outside and very tasty beer. Only "downer" was the busy main road passing the house. When you're able to sleep with closed windows, no problem, as they really close firmly. There is no air conditioning only a bigger fan. But apart from that we would definitely stay there again!…
Hotel Lamy is located just out of Troisvierges at the busy N12 road. The Lamy is clean, up to date furnished and decorated, well maintained, non-smoking. Staffs are helpful and friendly. The hotel offers 10 rooms. There is a children’s playroom, a à-la-carte restaurant with a terrace viewing the garden, and a brasserie-pizzeria in Irish pub style. In the garden you find a lounge ground and in summer a stage for live music. Complimentary Wi-Fi Internet and free parking next door. Our practical room was nicely decorated and furnished, with a very good double bed. The room had a table & chair, TV and wardrobe. We had a separate bathroom with washbasin, toilet and shower. All was very clean. Windows can be opened but have no mosquito screens. Opening the triply gazed window is not advisable. The N12 road in front of the door is busy and with the window open the traffic noise will keep you awake. The continental breakfast is good with ample variety. We recommend Hotel Lamy to anyone who seeks a night’s sleep in front of a busy road in surprisingly nice establishment.…
