Hotel Havgrim is informal and relaxing, with an emphasis on attention to personal service, situated in a particularly attractive and unique setting right on the shore. The house has been lovingly restored with the emphasis on preserving the original style and decor. The interior has been designed to reflect the history of the house, connecting its location with nature and the sea. Our staff are always on hand to help with any requests you may have, be it an extra pillow, a cup of coffee or a table booking for a restaurant in town. We will do our best to ensure that your stay in our beautiful, historic home is unforgettable. Havgrim is surrounded by nature and the sea and no matter what the season or weather, it is always worth a visit. Listen as the waves thunder against the rocks, the seaweed as it gently laps the shore, or the mighty surf as it rushes up to the stone wall.

Detailed Reviews
When choosing a hotel in Torshavn, we made the decision to stay here, slightly out of the way, based on the beautiful views and the fact that the sea is literally in your back yard! This is why we booked a Deluxe double room with sea view. It did not disappoint, and the window seat looking out on the view was well utilized each day. Very relaxing. Also, the staff was very helpful with any requests. Finally, the breakfast was very good (with the best bacon we have ever had, literally melt-in-your-mouth) and the breakfast room also had a wonderful sea view, so we had a happy start to each day. Having plentiful Faroese black & white sheep as neighbours was fabulous! They made for great photos of the area.
As stated previously, this hotel is not in the center of the town, but if you have a car (like we did) this is no problem, especially as the hotel offers free outdoor parking.
The only criticism I had with our room was the almost complete lack of storage space for our clothes. The room could have been designed better in this aspect, as travelers need to put away clothes! We resolved our situation by keeping our clothes in our luggage.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms definitely worth the extra cost! Rooms small on storage - try not to bring a lot...

Loved our stay at this central, clean, interesting hotel. The rooms aren't huge, but we had a gorgous view of the water, looking over to Nolsoy. Breakfast was fantastic and the area of the restaurant is great for hanging out during the day. Very small and persoanl. A lovely lady on reception - super helpful!

Delightful hotel with very welcoming, friendly staff. Breakfast was fantastic and a superb location with nice views. Compact twin room but very clean and comfortable. Our only wish would have been to be able to get an evening meal there as there was a bit of a walk to local restaurants. Otherwise perfect!

We stayed for a night while in Torshavn along our 7-day road trip through the Faroe Islands. Overall, the aesthetics in the hotel were a bit dated (80’s vibe), but nice. Our room was cozy and small, but clean. I suppose it could be considered a bonus that you could see into the shower from the bedroom, as the wall was clear glass (not frosted); it was an interesting touch. Oh, and it seemed like you could also see the toilet via mirrors from anywhere in the room; classy. All that considered, it was still a nice place to stay, but the price for our single night (~$365) was quite high for the islands and definitely reduces the perceived value.

I loved this place. The funkish architecture, The friendly and helpful staff and off course The outstanding view of The Bay and Nolsoy. My favorite moment was working on My labtop sitting in The Commons Living room with a panoramic view of The Ocean.
The city centre is only 10 minuts walk away.

Wonderful hotel with lovely views of the water and neighboring Nolsoy. Comfortable bed and outstanding shower. Delicious breakfast and beautiful breakfast room. Friendly staff. Located a short walk from the main area of Torshavn. Ask for a room on the sea side.

Our room was cozy with a great view. Clean and updated bathroom. The front desk was very helpful. Referred us to a great Italian restaurant after a long trip. Close proximity to the Suderoy car ferry. Great experience.

It is a small boutique hotel with excellent views. The staff is very friendly. Check in was easy. I had a delux room and breakfast was included. Room had good views, heating was perfect, bed very comfortable and very clean. Bathroom was small ,.no tub and shower has see through glass in the room so no privacy while you shower if you share room.
The mini bar was well stocked, breakfast was pretty standard, they only serve breakfast and hi tea is by pre order, no lunch or dinner for which you need to go to the town which is 10 min. walk or take a taxi.
The reception is staffed till 10 or 11pm and there is no one after that but they try to take care of things before they leave.
They will book tours for you, taxi to/from airport which is shared and cost DK233.
All in all very good place to enjoy and relax with free parking.
