We stayed two nights at the Ursulino Valletta and I would have been happy to stay even longer. What really set this hotel apart for us was the outstanding service we received when our luggage did not arrive with us. The staff made excellent recommendations on where we could buy necessities from toiletries to clothes, and also made sure we found wonderful places to dine nearby so that our trip wasn't ruined. I cannot say enough about their friendliness and helpfulness. In addition the room was perfect for a short stay; the bed was comfortable, the towels and toiletries luxurious. The location on a quiet street just blocks from busier areas allowed both restful sleep and access to all that Valletta has to offer. It was so nice to arrive late at night to find our keys waiting for us along with a nice bottle of wine that we enjoyed while we watched the fireworks of Independence Day on the upper terrace. Indeed, the terrace is a wonderful place to hang out in the evenings, watching the Grand Harbor while enjoying a glass of wine. Another nice element was the included breakfast with a wide variety of choices and some finely made omelets along with some superb coffee. If I find myself in Malta again, I will absolutely prioritize staying at the Ursulino Valletta.

Tasteful conversion of an old townhouse, the Ursulino is easily reached by taxi, on foot from bus drop-off points at the city gates or from the harbour, up via the Victoria Gate. It’s handy for the many restaurants, bars and fab sights of the old town. We loved our Duplex room but be aware that neither the duplexes, the breakfast area or roof terrace are great for anyone with limited mobility. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and really can’t do enough for you. The room and bathroom were very well equipped and we appreciated the generous supply of Molton Brown toiletries and of bottled water.

Visited as a couple for my birthday in September, 4 night stay over a long weekend. The lovely lady on the desk let us check in approx half an hour early. She also assisted my gf with the room safe a few times as my gf struggled to set a combination, she was so patient. Our room was on the 3rd floor directly underneath where breakfast is served and it was lovely. Really clean, welcoming and was cleaned daily while we where out walking around Valletta. A note about the air conditioning which is essential in Malta due to the high temperatures. Wow. Our room was lovely and cool throughout our visit. Great shower and a really comfortable bed. I was surprised to see there was a lift in the property given its age but that was a nice surprise! The staff at breakfast where really nice and friendly and brought our breakfast orders/drinks up to the roof terrace for us when they where ready. Breakfast was really nice and the view both day and night from the rooftop terrace is wonderful. All the main sights in Valletta are well within walking distance from the hotel aswell as the cute local bars/restaurants. The infamous Strait St (The Gut) is about a 5 minute walk away. I have no complaints about the place or the staff and it was wonderful to spend my birthday weekend here. When i return to Valletta this is where i shall stay. Thanks for making my stay in Valletta that extra bit magical.

Location: great, super close to the city centre but at the same time located in a quiet road. Room: we stayed in the ground floor room. Very well organised space, with access to a small courtyard private space. You could feel humidity was quite high, however between the air dehumidifier and AC we were fine. Cleanness: spotless. Breakfast: we thought it must have been one of the best we have had. The staff in the breakfast room was extremely welcoming and polite. Staff: very helpful, they even gave us a map of the main attractions in Malta and also gave us suggestions on how to plan our visit. Parking: there is no dedicated parking space but there are plenty of public spaces to park 2 min walk from the hotel. We managed to find free spots everyday for the whole week we stayed there. Overall: very happy with our visit, all was great. The view from the terrace is just amazing! Would definitely go back and would recommend to anyone planing to visit Malta.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Ursulino and only wished we had planned to stay more than one evening in Valetta. The lady at reception was extremely friendly and helpful. She gave us a list of recommendations of things to do in the area and nothing was too much of an ask. The room was beautiful with a lovely bathroom, Molton Brown toiletries and a proper coffee machine. A good variety at breakfast for a small hotel with a wonderful roof terrace, although it was too hot for us to sit up there! I would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel.
