Stayed in this hotel 4 nights. It's location is very good. Central to both Valletta and St. Julians. Sliema is a nice town, lots to see and do. The hotel itself is in walking distance of the Valletta ferry, shopping centers, nightlife in St. Julians. The room was clean and cleaned every day, the beds were made every day as well. The view was not a pretty sight as shown on the pictures. Very noisy at night because of the airco's hanging on the walls outside going on and off through the night. The entrance door ( see picture ) was not fitted inn well. Maybe a beginner carpenter ? Not bad for the price and I would stay here again but it is a bit worn here and there. Needs some maintanance. Friendly staff.

Hotel's Favorite
The hotel itself is located St Julian's side of Sliema, just inside the border. We were greeted in a friendly and professional manner. Even though our room was not ready, we were allowed to store our cases in the luggage room. Our room was on the second floor with a front facing balcony. It overlooked the main road, but the double glazed sliding door muted nearly all the sound. That said, we were able to sit out on the balcony in comfort and watch the traffic and people go past, which was very entertaining at times! The beds themselves were extremely comfortable. I, personally, do not usually sleep very well on my first night anywhere, but I slept fantastically. The AC helped enormously as well. We went up for breakfast on the first morning. It was average to say the least. I love a continental breakfast while away, but there was no choice of meat or cheese. There was just ham and a generic square cheese. The coffee was from a machine and very bitty and the fruit juice was mostly water, again from a machine. Luckily, Costa coffee is part of the hotel! The location is fantastic with bus stops within easy reach, whichever direction you wish to go. There are several restaurants in the area, with the nearest, Peppi's literally across the road. Housekeeping was a bit lacking. There was a lot of dust on top of the wardrobe and the floor could have been cleaned better as the soles of our feet were dirty from walking in the room. I had to ask for toilet tissue as we had been left with half a roll and no spare. The sun area and pool on the roof were great. Pool was a little cold, but got used to it once in. All in all, it was a good week and I would stay at The Plaza Regency again.

Our stay started in a bumpy way: we had to wait several hours for accommodation due to there being two big organised groups checking in at the same time. Then our access card didn't work and we had to ask twice for a replacement. The room was very small and instead of a double bed we had two single ones put together. Another issue was that the two sister hotels were fully booked and both of them being huge, the shared hotel restaurant was overwhelmed very quickly during breakfasts, meaning guests had to wait for a free table and the queues to the coffee machines were long.  That's the end of the list of complaints though, because the rooms were tidy, the staff was friendly and helpful, the AC was working and the food was very good. We also had an European electric socket in the room, so we didn't have any issues with charging batteries. The hotel is located next to the Sliema promenade and the sea, which is very picturesque but also can become quite noisy in the evenings.  All in all it wasn't the best of our three star experiences but wasn't the worst either.

Very good value for money. We had a great sea view studio on the 7th floor. The standard of cleanliness was excellent, thank you to Tanka for keeping the studio in such good condition. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and polite. The sea was 1 minute away. Bus stops also 1 minute.

We payed for an upgrade for a sea view room and a double bed. We didn’t get a see view room and we got single beds. When jet2 rang them to tell them to upgrade our room the cleaners came in. They said the room was ready, we had the same room but the bed was now a double. I jumped on the bed falling straight through the middle not realising that they had put the 2 single beds together. Nothing was fixed, and no upgrade was given which we paid a lot of money for. Malta is lovely but I will not be staying in this hotel again, I will take my business elsewhere

This Hotel appears nice on the surface. But did not feel I was treated fairly. Firstly there were corcroaches in the bedroom. Not all guest had tea and coffee, fridge etc in their rooms, although the same price was paid, for those who did. All guests should be treated equally.

The hotel is in a Brilliant location and is close to shops, boat and bus transport. I was disappointed by the service in the hotel and encountered a few problems during the stay. Firstly, our key didn't work on our room. I understand this is common but still frustrating and not a good first impression. Especially when the staff at the desk, though friendly enough, didn't apologise when I had to go back. When we got to our room, we were given two single beds pushed together but made up as two single beds, not a double. The safe door was hanging off and didn't work so we had to get matinence to fix it. The white plastic furniture on the balcony was dirty and stained. Once we could finally settle into our room, I had shower with the door bathroom door open and my husband sat on the balcony. During my shower, a random male guest walked into the bathroom , even though I shouted at him. It turned out he was trying to get into the wrong room and one of the cleaners let him in. I was terrified and they really weren't that empathetic though someone did explain how it happened. The security implications are massive, as both to my invasion of privacy and that our property was not safe. This put a damper on my stay and felt uneasy and worried I would have the embarrassment of seeing the man again who had seen me naked. We were given a card with a room number that your key card can fit into. We were handed this at check in and not told anything else about it. When we went to breakfast we are asked for the card. I had thrown it away as I was not explained its purpose. We had to go back to reception to get a card. Again, pretty frustrating. The breakfast itself was surprisingly tasty and cooked with care for a 3 star and the staff around the restaurant staff are busy and friendly and you get a good view of the sea being on the sixth floor. The rooms were a good size and mostly clean, though I had to pull a bed out to find a dropped earring and it had dust, hair and mints underneath it. It had not been pulled out for a while. The bed was comfortable and the duvet covers were soft and cool. Shower was nice and powerful. The furniture was dated but working and served a purpose. The rooftop pool, bar area was an attractive area and good views of the bay. It really is a no frills and would be a two star if it didn't have the pool. Not an awful hotel but the service really let it down and staff letting people into rooms without checking who they are really is unforgivable and they didn't seem to understand the seriousness of my complaint. I'm sure my experience won't happen anyone but I wouldn't stay there again.

Lovely hotel, clean rooms and great location for exploring the local area. The rooms were cleaned daily and towels changed too however for the entire week the cups and glasses in the room were not exchanged at all, very annoying as we used them every day. Small negative but very strange. Staff were friendly and really helpful. Breakfast was a decent selection and nice view from the dining room. Waiting staff a bit too keen to clear plates at times but again a minor negative.

This hotel is clean, located well and great staff. However, I specifically asked for a room whereby I could access hot water regularly and space to do my Pilates practice. The room that I was given is like a rabbit hole.
