We had a choice of a glass of a free glass of Prosecco, orange juice or water on arrival which was lovely however we then had to wait 21/2 hours for our room which we didn't get until 3.30pm. They said there was a late check out from our room but the hotel was definitely not full so they could...

Not to get mixed up with its cheaper brother next door as our driver dropped us off at the wrong one. It didn't matter as the 5 star Fortina is connected by bricks and moarter as well as the pools. The reception was great and the room is fabulous. We didn't take any free offers of a free cruise or...

We have previously stayed twice in the 4 star end of the complex. The hotel is well situated and convenient to shopping, transport and other restaurants. We spent two weeks on the 4th floor of the 5 star tower in November. The room was partially overlooking the bridge. The view was restricred and there was a lot of road noise....

We have just returned from a two week stay at our favourite hotel in Sliema, Malta. We were very please with every aspect of our holiday. The girls in the 5* reception were unfailingly friendly and helpful; our room was kept spotless by the housekeeping team; the food was excellent and the service in the restaurants - especially Taste and...

We stayed last week in a room on the 7th floor with a terrific view across to Valetta. We had courteous and efficient responses from all the staff we encountered, including reception and La Valette restaurant where we had breakfast and dinner most days. We didn't use the bar and evening 'entertainment' on this trip as it was a bit...

Booked this hotel having stayed here before around 10 years ago. Sadly much has changed in this time. Alarm bells started to ring when I could not find my room. Very scant directions were given by reception staff. When I explained to a member of staff that I could only find room 228 ( mine was 229 ) he said...

This is a 5 star hotel and while the facilities meet expectations the staff and overall level of service is woeful. Firstly the good points; the hotel has very good facilities, great views and is very well served by public transport so no need to brave the somewhat erratic driving which seems to be endemic to cities and towns in...

A nice spa and not that expeynsive neither. We got a hole day spa with 3 corses lunch for 200 euros. The massage was ok but you still have access to the jacuzzi, sauna and many other things and you can use the spa facilities until 18.00 wich is great

Have stayed at the Fortina Spa Resort each year since it opened and before that at the 4 star I have seen a grave reduction in the standard. waiting up to 1 hour to be served in the restaurant's not the staffs fault they have been reduced to an unworkable level. The Duty manager's used to mix with the guests...

My husband and I booked 3 nights at this 'resort' following 7 nights at the Westin Dragonara Resort in St Julians as a treat for my husband's 30th birthday. It was described as a luxury resort however when we arrived we were very disappointed in what we found, particularly having come from the stunning Westin resort. On arrival we were...
